I think so. Look around. People are reading it everywhere. People have clans and are calling themselves 'narutards'. Trading card games. Thousands of video games all about the same story arc. And even on the members list here, there are 2 or 3 Naruto-themed names. Really, is America more obsessed with it than Japan?
Sure, I like it, it's my 3rd favorite manga, but REALLY. It's not THAT good. It has been, for the past few years, continuously been on the top 5 shows most watched by pre-teens. I'm getting sick of it.
My sister took a small survey at her school to see what were her classmates' top 5 favorite manga. Only 1 out of the 6 voted Naruto as not #1. They liked Inu Yasha more.
Anyways, enough rambling. Vote if you want to. Either way, I still say that Bleach is more pwnsome.

well I like naruto better than DBZ, but I know that goku can beat naruto, because in DBZ they destroy planets and alot of people got kill and revive, so naruto could never be a match for DBZ.

Meh, I hate the Naruto Fans that get really annoying. THey pretend they are actually ninja and such. I know these groups of little kids who pretend they are tha akatsuki :p
I prefer Bleach way over Naruto and I think Bleach is better than DBZ.

i don't know if naruto is overrated or not but don't you think your taking it too much . IMO DBZ is kinda worse or better then naruto because yeah in their fights they can nearly destroys planets and bring them back (awesome) but don't you think ITS REPETITIVE like a new evil enemy appears and tries to conquer the world ( or the universe) goku and co go and fight him but they nearly get defeated but find a way to run and train them selfs meanwhile many people in the world get killed but brought back to life with the dragon balls and then goku and co defeat the enemy in a long fight after a few months or years a new enemy arises and nearly does the same thing anyway that's my opinion so don't start a war about it

I think it is way overrated, that is one reason why I don't watch it. If I really wanna know what happens, I could just ask one of my friends who watches it. I really don't watch any of the "big" animes. Death Note, Naruto, Bleach, etc, I find they all fail. I would rather watch other things..

As for DBZ, I watched it all the time as well. However, only Dragon Ball and DBZ were good. DBGT is fail, and ugly IMO.

well same here but i kinda hated the ending of DBZ and GT is the same just that Goku became small , the dragon balls are in space and new powerful enemies that's all .... but i hated the most the movie that happens after GT

Ranma 1/2 I found it funny how hot or cold water changes you. @ topic. I never found what is so great about a ninja boy who looks mentally ill of a disease who wears a orange jump suit chanting shadow clone jutsu over 20 times.

Personally i don't care. For me You may talk about that here. Ranma 1/2 (as well as Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, unless You're talking about Captain Tsubasa but that old good show was good too) is A LOT better IMO than Naruto. Maybe even i'll join that discussion. Eventually EL or other GMod may Split posts from that to another topic.

Naruto is far from one of my favourites, though I won't say I don't read it. However, it became boring quite a bit ago, I would say more or less at the timeskip. Or, more exactly, when it became the story of two emo gay lovers, one of which wants to find the other no matter how emoer he gets, and the other wants to destroy everything and get power for taking revenge against his brother, who OMG WAS GOOD AT THE END. Kishimoto, wtf?

I wouldn't say all big animes fail. Actually, I'm a big DBZ fan, love Death Note, and can read Bleach (Not exactly a big fan though).

Naruto is overrated, thats a fact.
But its good too, has mare than 280 episodes and more to come.
Who doesn't like it don't watch it.
