I probably shouldn't compare this to the Classic or
Battle Network series but would you say Rouge is
ProtoMan or Bass?
And is Solo the new Chaud?
Any other similarities discuss here

Take a close look at his visor then copare it to Bass's (Forte) helmet also he has sunglasses like protoman, his armour is both red 9protoman/Blues) and black (Bass/Forte) He has a sword and and shoots a ton of engery things(His fist attack) He has sworn vengence on Rockman and he sometimes helps Rockman.

Oh and as for other comparisons:
Taurus fire = Gutsman
Cancer Buble = Anime/Manga Bubbleman
Goat Kung-fu = Er what's his name.... Tutrboman's net op.
Empy = Magicman
Gemini thunder = Like half custom half Protoman.

Ah your all wrong. Bly is in a class of his own. Has no resemblance to either chaus or forte except being a rival.

I'd have to say Bass.

Harp Note for sure is the new Roll. But I would say Rogue resembles Proto more than Bass. Because Proto gets a sword, and so does Rogue.

I guess that Plesio Surf is...Dive Man? He DOES spawn waves...
And Phantom Black is the more sadistic Killer Man. You can tell me that there's no resemblance, but they do remind me of each other.

Im see a reseblance with bass a rouge quite easily, mostly because they want power and they are both loners,i can see protoman beingable to be similar to him, but rouge seems to be fast and powerful like bass, and rouge has the flying fist punch which that reminds meof bass' buster.

Some people would think that Rouge is Proto Man just cuz of the personality(?). But you guys forget that he has a sword. I still say that he's a stubborn Bassie. And thanks for helping me remember the Bass Bust-I mean Rouge Fist. It's so...nostalgic...

Here some things that can be similar.

Burai has sword wave. Protoman has a sword wave
Burai Flying Fists are as hard to dodge as Bass Shooting buster or Buster Rake.
Both Bass and Protoman have a sword but Proto mains a sword more.
Burai does a 3 hit combo. Delta Ray anyone ? (Not BN6 version)
Burai has a regenerating Denpa Barrier. Be aware of Bass's Aura in EXE 1-3 and Dark Barrier of Bass XX in EXE 4 and 5.
Burai has a 4 hit combo "Burai Arts" with his hands. Bass's Dark Arm Blade from EXE has 3 attacks but they do use his arms.

I think there is more but i'm not aware of them yet. It better to wait to SSR3 to come out to bring out more moves of Burai. So far in SSR2, he is easily predictable and easy.

If I may add.
Burai/Rouge is Black like Forte/Bass and Red like Blues/Protoman.
Burai/Rouge has white hair like Blues/Protoman
Burai/Rouge's visor (Or sunglasses, Blues/Protoman maybe?) has a shape similar to Forte/Bass's helmet.

I'm sure I can find more, but for now that's it.

He does have Black and Red. It more noticable on the Burai Tribes.
as for the visor thing, Rockman's visors resembles Blues more but by shape. Not color.

notice the lifeaura/darkaura picture CLEARLY has Bass.EXE in
shadow in the middle?

well well well, Rouge or Burai, in the history is a kid, (i think its called Solo) resembles more to be Bass,
not because he have sword means that he will be protoman, bass also have sword, from the MMBN4, and i some parts of the original Serie he ises a darkk sword, and he dont have a sword atached to his body, he take his sword from a mini dark dimention hole, his glasses,hmmm well it resembles more like protoman, but, remember that megaman from BN series hadnt a glases (he get em whe he perform some crosses or souls),bass hadnt glasses, so why just dont make a characte similar to bass with glasses, and as i think protoman glasses are black, that give him a cool look, but, the rouge glasses are a transparent purple. 9i thik if capcom, wanted to make a new protoman, they should make a character with black glasses and red body.
rouge, have a diferent way to see the situations, to bass mind, like the way he wanted to restore his tribe (i think *-*), or to be tribe king, however, ad the same way like chaud at the start of the BN series, like: *dont get in my way or you die(or something like i will show no mercy)*
Protoman way to see the things was : i just obey orders, he didnt thinked for himself (well the may of the navis dont do it but, bass and rouge are only one mind, it means, liberty of think
but chaud changed, and chaud wasnt alone all the time, he had protoman with him, Solo is Rouge, from a extincted tribe, and he always do everything that he want to reach his goal (even if he fails)
like Bass, the only diference is, the time story line, the bass actitude was: im the ultimate navi, no one is better than me,i dont know what means be Defeated, kinda similar to rouge.

From what I've read on Gamefaqs board sources, a lot.

He Resembles Bass, Chaud and Zero.

Chaud: A 'solo' kind of person, err...not exactly a bad person but a rival (and strong)

Bass: Same with the solo part, and his 'boss-strength' with his usual being a 'challenge'. Like Bass is more powerful than some other huge bosses...

Zero: Only resembelance is his sword.

Rogue is the new Protoman, t's Apollo Flame that's the new Bass.

But Apollo Flame doesn't consider Mega Man a rival, and Proto Man is always here to help.
I will never consider Rouge a Proto Man, as he got his sword halfway into his part in the game, and he's always been mean and evil and stuff. Proto Man uses his sword for the goo dof the world and isn't obsessed with killing Mega Man(ala Bass), as Rouge wants to show that link power sucks(Bass wants to beat up Mega Man up so badly that he even kept up that desire after losing his memory to Gospel). Also, ala BN3, Rouge joined up with the bad guys to take advantage of them. Bass did the same, neither really wanted to be henchmen. Insight is good.

Well in the previous topic people were wondering whether Burai was the new Bass or Protoman. The topic was locked so I couldn't put in my 2 cents, hence the new topic.
Anyways, while reading the other topic, I remembered a magazine scan I saw a while ago, and I found it. =D
