TiFF StyLe - June 9, 2006 11:03 PM (GMT)
Hi Guys..

Saved by the Book
TV actress-turned-short film director and producer Tiffani (scratch the Amber) Thiessen, of Fastlane and Beverly Hills 90210 fame, is eager to join the ranks of Madonna, Billy Crystal and Jamie Lee Curtis in the celebrity children's book writer category. But the author of the manuscript Fins and Tales, co-written by R. Dean Johnson (Life. Be There at Ten 'Til), hopes to take her new career venture a step further than her fellow star-writers: her lit agent Jennifer DeChiara at the Jennifer DeChiara Literary Agency is not only shopping the expected nine-part series—young-at-heart tales told from the perspective of Thiessen's two dogs, two cats and pet fish—as a children's book series but as an animated film as well—and has already gotten some nibbles from producerssource

prpelrayne - June 10, 2006 12:43 AM (GMT)
This would be really neat to see! I'm excited to see how all this pans out! I really want the books too!
Tatfan - June 10, 2006 01:02 AM (GMT)
i know you can take hannah to the movie and read the books to her! ill have to find some kid to show it to! hehe i cant wait, hurry it up already! lol
prpelrayne - June 10, 2006 01:08 AM (GMT)
If you wait til January I'll have a little kid you can show it to! I'll FedEx her to ya!
Tatfan - June 10, 2006 01:10 AM (GMT)
eh send me hannah. i know shel be out of her throwing up phase! hehe i seriously would babysit for her if you lived nearby! :D
prpelrayne - June 10, 2006 01:22 AM (GMT)
I was gonna send you Hannah anyway! I didn't think you'd be interested in having to breast feed every 2hrs!
Tatfan - June 10, 2006 01:25 AM (GMT)
no, your right i would not enjoy that! HAHA how long did you do that for hannah? id give up pretty soon. :P
prpelrayne - June 10, 2006 01:43 AM (GMT)
With Hannah, I went into it deciding that I would do as long as I could with her. I was able to do six weeks when I had to go in the hospital to have a kidney stone removed. The medication I was on for the next 6 weeks for the issues the stone caused, weren't condusive with nursing so I switched her to formula, totally, when the frozen supply ran out around her 8th week.
This time I will do the same thing. I'll nurse as long as I can and store up for when I'm not around.
Tatfan - June 10, 2006 01:46 AM (GMT)
thats not too bad. ive seen storied about people that breast feed till the kid is like 3. thats just nuts! lol
prpelrayne - June 10, 2006 01:54 AM (GMT)
I would have gone longer, but as I said I had to stop. I am a firm believer in self weaning if at all possible. Unless the kid is like going on two, then it's time to stop!
Tatfan - June 10, 2006 02:01 AM (GMT)
yeah thats just weird! lol it is good for them though.
prpelrayne - June 10, 2006 02:18 AM (GMT)
The AAP reccomends only breast milk for the first 6 months and then to keep nursing as you introduce solids. Apparently kids that are breast fed have fewer food allergies than kids that are given formula.
Tatfan - June 10, 2006 02:25 AM (GMT)
yeah i know it is good for them. but doing that for that long would be such a pain! the storing it thing sounds alot better and more convient.
prpelrayne - June 10, 2006 02:49 AM (GMT)
Storing it is actually A LOT more of a pain then just giving it from the source. If the bottles are at a minimum, there is less pumping, sterilizing of parts, bottles, storage bags to buy, bottles to buy, nipples to buy, no need to keep a cooler with you, or having to thaw out the frozen supply and then throwing away the supply that was left over in the fridge if not used within 48 hours.
Those are the kind of hassles that one reserves for leaving baby with daddy...or grandma! :D
Tatfan - June 10, 2006 02:54 AM (GMT)
yeah matt is in for tons of fun! hehe
prpelrayne - June 10, 2006 03:02 AM (GMT)
He sure is! Just wait'll he figures out that I'm not exaggerating about that eating every 2 hrs around the clock deal! hehe
Tatfan - June 10, 2006 03:08 AM (GMT)
ya but you will be doing most of that part. until you start saving it in the fridge. then its his turn! guys have it way too easy!
prpelrayne - June 10, 2006 03:10 AM (GMT)
Even with me doing that, there are still things he can do at 2am after I feed the baby!
Tatfan - June 10, 2006 03:14 AM (GMT)
haha yes the most hated job! im praying they dont somehow make me do that on my job!
prpelrayne - June 10, 2006 04:22 AM (GMT)
 Sorry, I still think its funny that people the a bodily function is THAT bad! If you (and the kids) are lucky, they will put you with the more interactive older ones that can learn games and things!
Tatfan - June 10, 2006 04:28 AM (GMT)
yeah it would be different if it was my own kid though. i dont think they will make me since there is lady's there who look much more experienced than i am! yeah im used to dealing with the older kids so hopefully she remembers that! lol i dont think the parents want an inexperience girl changing their kids diaper!
prpelrayne - June 10, 2006 05:40 AM (GMT)
Generally, if you are more comfortable right now with one particular age group, then they will try and have you deal with that group mostly.
Tatfan - June 10, 2006 06:17 PM (GMT)
ya thats what they told me a while back. its going to be summer too so they will have some school aged kids too. which is nice cuz i like talking to the ones that can carry on a conversation! lol
prpelrayne - June 10, 2006 08:03 PM (GMT)
Kids 5+ are really neat to talk to!
Tatfan - June 10, 2006 09:10 PM (GMT)
i know! when i was working at this day camp last summer and the summer before i made friends with this one litle girl. she would always ask me to come and give her help on a project since one time she got really upset cuz she didnt understand something. and i calmed her down because i know what its like to feel lost and feel like your the only one who doesnt get it. so i talked to her when i came in and things. she was so cute and funny! i wish i could see her again this year but that place isnt having their camp this summer. im hoping ill see her around! and kids will just talk to you about anything, you dont have to feel self councious about things becasue they arent at all! :D
prpelrayne - June 10, 2006 09:22 PM (GMT)
That's neat! Kids are so cute when they're young. It's like they haven't learned how to be something other than who they are.
Tatfan - June 10, 2006 09:32 PM (GMT)
exactly! thats why id rather work with kids than be stuck in some curmmy office with adults. and i still love kid games like arts and crafts! when im with them mine always looks good, when i am with adults thats another story! hehe
prpelrayne - June 10, 2006 09:58 PM (GMT)
Another cool thing is teaching them games like basketball. Even if you shoot off the backboard, they are all like, "wow! That was GREAT!" hehe Kids are SO cool!

Let's stay on topic folks <_<
Ooo and YAY!!! *so excited* Thanks TiffStyle for the word, ahh I'm so proud of Tiff :)

Tatfan - June 11, 2006 04:14 AM (GMT)
sorry jess! its all erin's fault! :ph43r:
i agree go tiff! i cant wait for both of them to come out! i hope shel have a voice in it or something.
i know, exactly erin! and it works for me since i suck at sports! hehe what a confidence booster.
prpelrayne - June 11, 2006 04:31 AM (GMT)
I started nothing! :ph43r:
Even so, I can't wait for both of them! I may just keep the books in my personal library! Sounds like they might not be so kidish that the adults can enjoy them too!
Tatfan - June 11, 2006 04:38 AM (GMT)
i agree, they sound great for any age! :)
prpelrayne - June 11, 2006 04:43 AM (GMT)
I'm really excited to learn more about the plots of the stories and how they come about. I wonder who will do the illustrations in the books? <_<
Tatfan - June 11, 2006 04:45 AM (GMT)
i know me too! i always loved books about pets. thats a good question about the pictures. hmmmm
prpelrayne - June 11, 2006 04:52 AM (GMT)
I'd also really like to know how she got such a neat idea for the books anyway. It's not often you find a children's book that is fun for parents and kids as well as a good solid story!
Jess - June 11, 2006 05:04 AM (GMT)
It's ok :) It happens!
I was thinking Brady might do the illustrations, since he's an artist?
That would be cool if she had a voice in it! That was SO unexpected to read about an animated film ;)
It'd be COOL to see "Written by: Tiffani Thiessen" instead of "Starring Tiffani Thiessen" (or well both) hehe.
Yeah I agree - the idea is really original.

prpelrayne - June 11, 2006 05:11 AM (GMT)
That would be neat! Showing the kids a project they did together! Awwww!
