perhaps allow those with GPS to end up with a slightly shorter route than those without, whilst still getting the pay for the original route distance (have it take one less leg or some such), representing the fact that the driver isn't relying on memory/hand maps to get to where he is going, and possibly finding a shorter distance along the way.

I don't see that ever happening, though it would be nice to get something a little more useful than a 2d picture of "your" truck "driving" a route for the $500 that it costs.

I just close my eyes, click blindly and eventually end up finishing my route, while I imagine each and every drive in my head. FYI, there are dragons scattered throughout the mid-west and ninjas hiding just out of sight everywhere. $500 well saved.

meh it was just a thought given that the GPS currently serves NO practical purpose. and we got dragons and those devastatingly nasty ninjas all through west australia too :P

Well you could change it from map to satellite view and zoom in and see how many houses you are driving over... l0l
