I got the idea to do this from the thread about the user looking for a new PC. Basically you go to the site and pick a server (usually I just use the recommended one) and it runs a test to see how fast your internet connection is, and then gives you the results to post.

no I have a fairly good dell pc. The computer isnt the issue. I live 15 miles out side of the largest town for 40 miles. That town has a pop of about 9,000 Where I live there isnt a town. Dial up is the only option other then satellite which I have been looking into. It is not as bad as it sounds. do to FireFox and the way the computer is set up page loads are fairly quick. around 3sec for complex pages. But graphics and large photos kill me. The fact that the phone lines are so old there is still a lady setting down the road plugging them in to the big switch board every time you need to make a call doesn't help matter's none. You might have to be one of the older players to get that last part.

K this is on a laptop with wireless internet, for whoever thinks laptops make stuff slow... twice today in the forums i have seen people talking like laptops are useless... my laptop can run most games that exist except a few that came out over the last year and take massive graphics, my laptop is exactly how it came from manufacturer. But in whoevers defense my desktop computer is much faster than my laptop, but the lappy is handier.

This is DSL we got last year. It sure beats the hell out of dial up.

I just got 3000 download and 14413 upload. I can't paste it as I am at work :lol:

The speed really has nothing to do with your computer it has to do with your ISP.

Those speeds work out to roughly 487 mb/s Which is kinda wierd as on Embarq's website they only offer up to 10mb/s and that is like $65 a month.

I noticed that too, but I thought maybe he just saved the image to his pc and then uploaded it to imageshack.
