I feel that dmw's closing of the thread was unnecessary. Alco had resorted to name calling and insults, Nicholas was the same but to a lesser extent. N. Reeki remained dry and very literal. I had not done anything wrong (that I can see after looking at it again). I was a bit sarcastic at times but I was trying to have a semi-civil, semi-intelligent discussion. The post I was typing out when it was closed was going to be nothing but a cleaner joke to try and get the thread somewhat back on topic.

Alco should have been dealt with as he was the only one really flaming. Well, I guess he has been dealt with. It's just too bad that it had a negative effect on the others involved.

Indeed; it sucks for everyone when just a few people take the whole thread down a notch.

Let this be a lesson, if people would care to learn it.

In my opinion, closing it was the best option. To me, there wasn't enough to warrant a warn for Alco. Granted, he has done....other things to give him a warn, but telling me I reek? Are we on a kindergarten playground again?
