Title: Brainteaser
Description: No right or wrong answer

Ok, I have made a VERY VERY large cake to be divided amongst all the drivers on trukz in the most EQUAL way. What is most equal?
Some drivers have been driving longer than others, should they get a larger piece?
Some drivers are more hungry than other drivers, should they get a larger piece?
Some drivers have more money than others, should they get a larger piece?
Some drivers are larger than others and require more food, should they get a larger piece?
How should this cake be divided in the most EQUAL way possible?

This is simple. How should a VERY large cake be divided amongst all the drivers on trukz in the MOST EQUAL way?
jefffan24 - December 6, 2008 11:45 PM (GMT)
So that everybody gets an equal piece???
Thats the only way it can be the Most Equal.

Ah the communist/socialist approach. But that answer leaves more questions. What about the drivers who have been here longer? The ones who have worked harder? Don't they deserve a bigger piece for their hard work and toil? Why should they get the same sized piece as someone who joined, ran a route and went inactive for 20 days or so?
jefffan24 - December 7, 2008 12:04 AM (GMT)
If I knew you were going to bring politics/beliefs...I wouldn't of answered...but I could careless I don't like cake, I just thought I would amuse you and now I'm done.

Just give every body the same amount of cake.???????

But is that really fair? The truth is many drivers on this game have been here longer and have worked harder than other drivers. Should their piece of cake be larger?

That misses the point. If you are going to post in this thread, please make it insightful.
Mac Womack - December 7, 2008 12:46 AM (GMT)
As you (and you alone) baked the cake, it should be up to you how the cake is divided. But then again, did you pay for the ingredients? Is the oven you used to bake the cake owned by you? Do you pay the gas/electric bill? You might find you are entitled to a lot less cake after all :P.

Mmm you cant really make a topic like this and claim it is meant to be taken seriously. By all appearances it really looks like you just created this thread to put down anyone who does not share your "cake sharing" ideals Alco

Blow the cake up.
Piece size = (days in game/total days of all drivers) * cake size = 0
Piece size = (hunger/total hunger) * cake size = 0
Piece size = (money/total money) * cake size = 0
Piece size = (mass/total mass) * cake size = 0
Piece size (Driver 1) = Piece size (Driver 2) = ... = Piece size (Driver n-1) = Piece size (Driver n)
:explosion:

Cut the cake in half. Divide the first half evenly among all drivers, like communism as you say. Sell the other half on ebay to the highest bidder.
Muddslinger - December 7, 2008 02:24 AM (GMT)
If the cake is a gift, then it should be divided equal.
If the cake is earned, senior drivers get more.

Yes.
Cake MMMMMMMMMMMM...........................
TurboTeg - December 7, 2008 03:44 AM (GMT)
It's your cake, Alco. You can divide it however you see fit.
My favorite reply so far was Alpert's. Nice to see a mod that can't understand a simple hypothetical question. Followed closely by jeffy's, whose opinion I couldn't care less about.

Yes one of the many things mods on this game have in common with UAW members ROFLMAO .
So TurboTeg, if it was your cake, how would you divide it?
TurboTeg - December 7, 2008 03:55 AM (GMT)
I would delegate that responsibility to someone else. I have better things to do and would rather not deal with the inevitable backlash.
JD3020 - December 7, 2008 04:15 AM (GMT)
How bout this, we give all the new people bigger pieces of cake then the experienced people who have worked hard in the game.
Or we give the cake to each company. The companies that are managed good, are growing, and prospering no or small pieces of cake. And those who are running low collection, and high assistance, high wages, burning all their money, and running into debt and near closure large pieces of the cake.
frankie12 - December 7, 2008 05:07 AM (GMT)
Just give it equally as everyone is a driver and no one has more then 1 account (at least they shouldn't have more then 1).

Hmmm, corporate welfare to bad companies, just like the proposed auto industry handout. Only you would think of such a thing JD

ok, alco have have to ask. Do you just like to post topics so you can insult every member that doesn't go along with your views (or just find something wrong with each members answer)?
Also, what would your answer be to the question?

WEll I wouldn't answer becuase it is impossible to have a right answer. There is no right or wrong answer for this question.

Actually, Alco is on to something here. If we were to divide the cake and assign each piece to each driver, all the while adding the stipulation that you must pick up the cake in person in order to continue playing the game, finally, those multi drivers would be forced to either own up to their misdeeds, or just let their phony driver's cake fester and mold under the hot lights. Either way, the admins would be able to prune the multi's from the game. It's win win!
Sweetchuck - December 7, 2008 08:00 PM (GMT)

Ah hah! I always go around wearing this fake moustache just for such occasions like this. But not because I am using multis. I just want more then once slice of cake.

i like cake!
i think each individual member should apply for their slice of cake, and be judged based on their driver's performance.
Besides, how big is this bloody cake? it's hardly gonna be a 6 inch victoria sponge now is it?
Nicholas - December 13, 2008 10:16 PM (GMT)
I think we should get a microscope and measure each slice of cake accordingly to equal by a 5millionth of an inch. See the whole purpose behind this is to get people to argue. It failed horribly considering most people saw that it was made for that. Some people purely didn't get the question. Why taunt someone who doesn't understand a question? I have a question for you. If E=mc2(squared) then what does M equal? Do C and M have a relation to each other and also why does our universe curve and isn't straight like we see it not only by the naked eye but also in the overall theory.
:) Now that is a valid question.
