Hellow Each & Everyone,
I'm very new to "Trukz" & new to the world of PC as well...perhaps not a good combo...
My story & ? is....I just finished a run & have been left with 25% fuel in the tank(s) Just for ha ha's I pumped in only 75% thinking this would fill to 100%....as you probably figured out since I'm here @ this page it did not fill the tank to 100% but only 75%. Now perhaps due to my age (76) I'm missing something here. Would have thought 25% + 75% would topoff the tank(s) to 100%. So with that out of the way can yous let me know if I've indeed missed the boat & time to retire (again). Frankly had been leaving the refuels @ 100% but wanted to try other %ages. It appears with my math/thinking we are being charged for what's left in the tank(s) as well.....Well Mr. reporter that's all of my story....
Take Care All & Happy Holidays to Each & Everyone & Your Loved Ones...

The 75% option let's you refuel until your tank is 75% full, not 75% + whatever is left in your tank. Hope this helps.

Fear not Vermonter! If you do the math the next time you make a fuel stop, you will find that you DO NOT get charged for the fuel that is already in your tank - If you have a 200 gallon tank, and you have 25% left (50 gal.) and you dial up a 50% refuel (which will give you a total of 100 gal. in your tank), you will only be charged for 50 gallons. When doing your calculations, don't forget to figure in your fuel assistance and any company fuel discount, to get your numbers to come out right. If I'm on a route that I know I can't make on 1 tank of fuel, I usually run down past a 1/2 tank, and then start watching for that cheap $1.85 fuel - then I grab my calculator, figure out how many gallons I need to finish the route, using the mpg on my dashboard, divide that by my total fuel capacity to get the percentage needed (I usually add another 5% in case I hit a bunch of "headwind" legs) and put in that much. But alot of others just fill 100% when they hit that cheap fuel...

If you're refuelling mid-route for 1.85 you might as well fill the tank up - it's 1FP no matter how much you put in the tank and 1.85 vs 2.50 is a fair saving in fuel costs. Of course if you have to refuel for more than 2.50 a gallon then you break out the trusty calculator.

Thank You All For The Comeback.
I'll be scratching the head for a spell til system, math & routes ect..burned into the old head for sure...I be setting the sights on that shiny new lime green hybrid Pete over to the last page of Trukz Dealer...Perhaps Trukz may wish to look into offering a model or two in the Marmon family of trucks. Perhaps an incentive could be given for those ready or about to to make an new truck purchase & looking into hybrid & going green with any brands offering such a lineup/model?...In any case enjoying Trukz as is & Happy Holidays To Each & Everyone...
