The gameplay style option allows drivers to choose their style of gameplay based on how often they are able to access the game. We understand that some players may not be able to access the game every day (especially real life truckers) so the gameplay option has been setup to allow those users who can't get on daily to still enjoy the game. Drivers may only change their gameplay style while not in-route by visiting their driver edit screen. The following gameplay options are available:

Standard - Drivers must deliver their routes on time by beating the clock. Drivers will generally need to be able to access the game often in order to meet route deadlines. This is the default setting for all drivers.

Casual - Drivers are given 30 days to complete their routes. Driver end route collections are reduced 20% from the standard gameplay setting. Once the 30 days are up late penalties resume as normal.

The gameplay style also indicates if a driver has dashboard graphics set to on or off.

Does playing the game in casual mode affect the increase in DR or only affect the pay?

It does not affect the driver rating at this time.

If you choose to go casual I don't think you should go on the high scores then.

i'm not casual but why not they still play they should still get a shot at it.

it seems more like a lazy mode for folks that cant get on every day

is there a restriction to how often you can change this, for example on friday i want to go casual then on sunday i want to change it back AFTER i complete the load i start on friday.

as long as you are not in route i believe you can change it

Well if it's only for the weekend that you're unavailable, I don't think you should switch into casual mode. What I suggest is for you to not drive any routes over the weekend if you have doubts of being late... Besides, if you're fully rested, it only takes about 15 minutes to get back up to 11 HoS and go about your business.

If I want to still play this game, I will have to switch to casual sometime in the next 2-3 days. I have school from 7:30-4:00, then football from 4:30-6:15

i dont thing casual style will work very well because i barley make money off evey route i do like 100$ with reduced collection the gas prices might be to much makeing people go into debt

I only go on Casual if I am on Vacation, or if I am really exhausted with Fatigue and I gotta grab the load, but it pays good, then I will switch over to Casual. I got a lot of stuff to do this week, so I am on casual now and I am on a 42 leg trip to Yellowknife :D

Well , I don't really see anything about laziness, Just ,some folks have jobs,other commitments, etc,etc, that keep us busy Lord knows how long during the day. Not everyone can be a "slave" to their computer...IMO
