Title: Weather

Weather plays an important role in where and when you drive routes. Although the game doesn't have real world weather forecasts we've modeled all cities in the game to have realistic weather patterns. All cities weather and temperatures will update daily at 12:00 AM. All city weather statistics can be viewed in the City Stats screen.

In the winter months cities will have colder temperatures and any precipitation encountered in-route will most likely come in the form of snow, sleet, and freezing rain. In the summer months precipitation turns to rain, fog and drizzle. Cities in with colder climates like Prudhoe Bay Alaska and Churchill Canada will experience more artic based temperatures and weather and cities like La Paz Mexico and Panama City Panama will experience more tropical based temperatures and weather.

Cities with more extreme climates will recieve an individual city bonus to be paid upon route delivery as detailed in the City Stats screen.

The weather patterns encountered in the first half of your route will be based on your departure city weather. When you have completed more than 50% of your route the weather patterns will begin to reflect your destination city weather. The type of precipitation encountered when in-route affects how fast you can safely travel during that leg of your route. Drive too fast and you might crash your truck and will result in the loss of driver rating points (-0.5) so be careful and keep an eye on the weather patterns before and during your routes.

 It would be cool if you went along with the ice road truckers idea, maybe without the dying.

He is, but it's July, no winter roads.

When there's precipitation. If it's cold, it'll turn to snow or sleet. If it's warm, it'll be rain.
