Title: Hometown City

admin - June 29, 2007 05:45 AM (GMT)
A driver's hometown city is a city that can be specified by the player when editing their driver profile. The hometown city acts just like a regular company terminal in that when in that city and not currently in route fuel and repairs do not cost any fatigue points, however unlike company terminals hometown cities do not provide any cargo bonuses for route delivers.

When viewing the game map a players hometown city is indicated by a yellow marker on the map. Players may change their hometown city once every 14 days.

I was going to ask why you put El Paso and Corpus on there and not Austin or San antonio

Laredo actually is busier since I-35 is a primary corridor for freight coming up out of Mexico and straight into the heartland of the US. Just about every major trucking company in the US and Canada has a terminal located in Laredo because of this. The fact remains that this part of the game is limited to existing cities and towns. I personally live in a small town of less than 1000 people and really dislike calling Dallas my "hometown" in the game. I'd like the option of being able to actually choose my actual hometown even if it only meant that all I could do there was get some rest without losing FP's.

Heck, the fact that the game doesn't have Chicago in it seems weird consider the Windy City is the country's third largest.

man there was no cincinnati or columbus ohio..they're are tons of trucks on 275 and 70 also alot of truckin to places like showa and procter & gamble

War Man - October 9, 2007 12:29 AM (GMT)
Man they should have at least one city in every state that way you can get somewhere near your home. I live in Connecticut and the closest "hometown" is New York City, which i really hate calling my hometown. If they had, like, hartford, connecticut, that would be a little better even if i dont live that close to hartford

You have St. Louis, Missouri, but not Kansas City, Missouri. Why? Kansas City has grain, livestock, and stuff

We have a Ford plant here even.

I am From St. Louis, in St. Louis we have Live Stock too, as well as Beer, and corn. and we have a Dodge RAM and Caravan plant here as well.

i got a question i put my hometown on one of my copany termials does that stack or some thin my guy is Billybodfat =]

DWarrior - October 31, 2007 05:17 AM (GMT)
Hometown's only bonus is fatigue-free repair and refuel. Since terminals already do that, Hometown with a terminal is useless.

steel ownage - November 1, 2007 04:52 AM (GMT)
awwww =[

Amperage 88 - November 6, 2007 03:40 PM (GMT)
i live in connecticut too and there are a lot of trucks that go up and down I-84 and I-95

War Man - November 6, 2007 04:23 PM (GMT)
yea there are always trucks on I85

Edit: I mean I-84

Amperage 88 - November 6, 2007 05:11 PM (GMT)

I am suprised not to see a city up in New England. ie CT, MA, NH, ME, VT as a RL truck driver out of Maine, I deliver a lot of paper to various locations in the Northeast.

is there a way we can get Boston MA or Hartford CT on the map?

Taylormade - November 28, 2007 05:48 PM (GMT)
Why is everybody so concerned about having their game hometown the same as their RL hometown? Treat it as a mobile terminal. You can change your hometown every 2 weeks. Change your hometown to the city you are in or headed to if it's not a company terminal and enjoy saving 2 FP's for fuel & repairs. There are way too many cities in 3 countries for Admin to include everybodys hometown. Now go enjoy the game. :D
