Title: More Cities
Description: Post your city suggestions here!

George Lynch - January 29, 2008 09:32 PM (GMT)
EDIT OVERSURGE: This topic has been pinned. Please note that Admin currently has no intentions of adding new cities. With the recent addition of Europe, the game board is much bigger than it was. We WILL look back to this thread when we are ready to grow the game. So post those suggestions here.

Please keep this thread clean. No bashing of cities and explanations on why a particular city is no good. This is mainly a suggestion topic. Also, please make sure you don't re-suggest a city.

Cities that I would like to see:

Pittsburgh
Cleveland
Little Rock
Luray (For those who don't know, this is a small town in Virginia -- This is where I live. We actually have a Wrangler factory where a lot of semi's run in and out of)

Is it possible to have this pinned?

(Moderator's Note) If you can, put a picture of the city you would like, and I'll find the lengths of what it needs to be, because if admin decides to add it he'll have your picture there as well.

Fletcher - January 29, 2008 10:35 PM (GMT)
I'd like to see Cardiff in the UK.

I guess it could supply steel as permanent supply.

I would add a comment to your cities George, but I don't drive in NA. Sorry.

Farmerboysmom3 - January 29, 2008 11:14 PM (GMT)
I vote for Milwaukee Wisconsin. It could be a permanent supplier of beer.

Slick Johnson - January 29, 2008 11:32 PM (GMT)
Reno, Nevada. It is a major trucking hub as it's location is central to most of the western states.

Oh, and this:

There was a thread on it before but Memphis, Tennessee would be a good addition. It is a transportation hub, and it is a centralized location where there is a lack of other cities in the game. It's permenant supply could be mail (due to Fed Ex).

I would suggest additional Canadian cities to fill out things a bit. Looking at the map, Winnepeg and Calgary seem like good targets. Calgary could have oil as it's permenant good provided. Unfortunately, I don't know what the fixed product would be from Winnepeg and the wikipedia page on the city doesn't seem to provide a clear good that we could relate to the city.

phathead - January 30, 2008 02:50 AM (GMT)
Duluth, Minnesota

I live there and the harbor here is EXTREMELY busy because of where we're situated.

Andrew.K - January 30, 2008 11:42 PM (GMT)
I'd like Saskatoon,SK and Moncton,NB added

War Man - January 31, 2008 01:17 AM (GMT)

Boston, Massachusetts, USA
Augusta, Maine, USA

(basically more places in northeast USA or maybe southeast canada)

KWfarmer - January 31, 2008 04:49 AM (GMT)
Fargo, ND and/or at least 1 city in every state

tstroke - January 31, 2008 08:57 AM (GMT)
ohio has none toledo, lima, daton, cincinaty all right down I-75 lima has a refinry, tank plant, sope, ford plants and more and toledo has shiping docks from the lake and is big in grain and cincinaty is a center for maltiple states. just a thought ;)

CodyLtr - January 31, 2008 05:02 PM (GMT)
I would really Like to see Louisville, KY. Its the worldwide headquarters for UPS, maybe the admin could work out something with UPS and it could be a pemenant supply for UPS shipped items. Other than that Mempis, TN or Nashville, TN.

Outlaw Haulers Inc - January 31, 2008 11:59 PM (GMT)
I second the Cincinnati vote, There is a huge steel plant here in Middletown, and another down in Ghent. We are on the I75 corridor, and many factories are here.

Also. Peoria, IL for CAT equipment for the oversize guys.

Outlaw out.

malaki86 - February 1, 2008 03:37 AM (GMT)
I agree with Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus and Memphis.

Cincinnati & Columbus - both are perm beer suppliers
Cleveland - Iron Ore
Memphis - anything and everything

Road Rage - February 1, 2008 04:53 AM (GMT)
How about some port Cities where you can drop off freight going over seas, so you have a place to take freight when you get stuck in a city with freight that has no demand on the current continent?
Not sure of all the major port cities but the one I think of right off is Norfolk Virginia

Maybe becoming a complete logistics solution with ships and such?

It would be neat.

colgute - February 1, 2008 07:08 PM (GMT)
Pittsburgh... and could have permanent steel as a supply or something because Pittsburgh iss steel....... hence the steelers

JUMS MCGEE - February 1, 2008 09:20 PM (GMT)
More canadian cities... doesn't matter which ones... just at least 1 or 2 per province and maybe some more up north in the yukon and nunavut. just an idea.

Kenraali - February 3, 2008 02:00 PM (GMT)
@Europe:

Oulu, Finland
Kobenhavn, Denmark

@Europe:

Oulu, Finland

Okay, in Oulu they produces paper, but so do they in about 20-30 other cities in finland. Some other cities would be nice
Nokia, small city but a big producer of tyres (Nokian tyres)
Tornio, even smaller city but a big provider of stainless steel (Outokumpu)
also I don't see a reason why Helsinki is in the game, but I presume that game developers are from USA and Helsinki is a capital of Finland, so how could you know some tiny cities from Finland.
Also I would like to suggest products that are produced in finland, tires and paper, also maybe lumber.

thnx

Rat Rod - February 5, 2008 11:54 PM (GMT)
I'd also like to see Pittsburgh since it's the closest big city to where I am :)

DBabu - February 9, 2008 05:27 PM (GMT)
Obviously, like a brazilian player I'll be pleased to see any city from Brazil in this game!

But, or will be South America a new continent, or the connection to North america will must be done, including route from Panamá to Venezuela and Colombia and then, to Brazil.

Like I'd already posted in a new post recently, I think that would be cool to see the North Africa, Near and Middle Orient been an extension from Europe and South America as an extension from North America.

And some new europeans cities to equalize the numbers from both continents.

So, in the South America part:

Bogotá - Cundinamarca - Colombia (Coffee - a new cargo)
Caracas - Distrito Capital - Venezuela (Oil)
Quito - Pichincha - Ecuador
Lima - Lima - Peru
La Paz - Pedro Domingo Murillo - Bolivia (Timber)
Santa Cruz de la Sierra - Andrés Iáñez - Bolivia (Vegetables)
Viña del Mar - Valparaíso - Chile
Bariloche - Río Negro - Argentina
Buenos Aires - Ciudad Autonoma de Buenos Aires - Argentina
Punta Arenas - Magallanes - Chile
Manaus - Amazonas - Brasil (Eletronics or Appliances)
Boa Vista - Roraima - Brasil (Grains [Rice])
Belém - Pará - Brasil (Lumber)
São Luís - Maranhão - Brasil (Iron Ore)
Fortaleza - Ceará - Brasil (Sea Food)
Salvador - Bahia - Brasil (Fruits)
Brasília - Distrito Federal - Brasil (Book) Brasília
Cuiabá - Mato Grosso - Brasil (Grains [Soya Bean])
Corumbá - Mato Grosso do Sul - Brasil (Oil)
Campo Grande - Mato Grosso do Sul - Brasil (Livestock)
Belo Horizonte - Minas Gerais - Brasil (Milk)
Itabuna - Bahia - Brasil (Automobiles)
Macaé - Rio de Janeiro - Brasil (Gasoline)
Rio de Janeiro - Rio de Janeiro - Brasil (Medication) Rio
Santos - São Paulo - Brasil (Furniture)
São Paulo - São Paulo - Brasil (Automobiles)
Paranaguá - Paraná - Brasil (Grains)
Foz do Iguaçú - Paraná - Brasil (Vegetables)
Blumenau - Santa Catarina - Brasil (Beer)
Santana do Livramento - Rio Grande do Sul - Brasil (Clothing or Shoes)
Montevideo - Montevideo - Uruguay (Paper)
Asunción - Paraguay (Eletronics)

32 new cities, to make the American side a total of 79 cities.

By the side of Europe, currently with 42 cities, we will need 37 new cities.

Rîga - Latvija
Milano - Italia
Lisboa - Portugal
Oulu - Finnland
Zagreb - Hrvatska
Beograd - Srbija
Ankara - Türkiye
Antalya - Türkiye
Kharkov - Ukraine
Baghdad - Iraq
Al Kuwayt - Kuwait
Tehan - Iran
Aral - Kazahstan
Tel Aviv - Israel
Al-Qahirah - Egypt
Ar Ryiad - Saudi Arabia
Dubai - United Arab Emirates
Tunis - Tunisia
Tarabulus - Líbia
Cirene - Líbia
Al-Jezair - Algeria
Oran - Algeria
Rabat - Morocco
Laayoune - Western Sahara
Dakar - Senegal
Bamako - Mali
Al Khurtun - Sudan

Another option is include the East Asia connected to NA by the Bering Sea...

But I prefer South America as a new continent, so, the brazilian cities have more chances of be implemented soon.

Sds.

Mjs43 20 - February 11, 2008 02:13 PM (GMT)

how about some more city's in alaska and in the yukon and nwt

McFerrari - February 12, 2008 02:25 AM (GMT)
I think every country should have atleast one city.

There are quite a lot of Slovenian players (Slovenian NOTSlovakian) playing this game and one of us allready made a thread asking the admin to put one city on the map.

so, I vote for

Ljubljana - Slovenia

(picture)

and ofcourse all the other capitals of European countries aswell.

MaaNia - February 12, 2008 05:21 AM (GMT)
Baltics

Latvia - Riga

Lithuinia - Vilnius

Estonia - Tallinn

MADLUX - February 12, 2008 08:27 PM (GMT)
Virginia Beach Virginia, or Norfolk Virginia Major cities in VA

Trevor Warden - February 13, 2008 08:33 PM (GMT)
Memphis, TN
Tulsa, OK
Boston, MA
Nome, AK
Taloyoak, Nunavut
Churchill Falls, New Foundland
St. John's, New Foundland
Iqualuit, Baffin Island
Fredereichton, New Brunswick

Though I'm not suggesting a change cause its too close to NY but Elizabeth or Newark really ought to be the New Jersey city as Elizabeth has I beleive the largest Eastern port and Newark has Newark Airport so massive, and I mean massive amounts of trucks and cargo go through there.

Southport N.C. is a port city it would be really cool to drop off things that dont have a demand in another city for a little extra green cause you need a permit to drive onto the port

mikehunt - February 14, 2008 10:30 PM (GMT)
Buffalo NY
it could supply food or something (since our industry is pretty much gone)
But it's a major entry point to and from Canada for trucks in real life so it makes sense to have it

pookieson - February 18, 2008 04:14 AM (GMT)
Im from Ottawa,Ontario,Canada and would really like to see this city. It is the Nation Capitol . Plz and thank you

staple0692 - February 18, 2008 08:26 PM (GMT)

or like if there's a demand over in eurpope you could haul your load to a port and drop it off and it gets sent off to europe.

gear shifter - February 19, 2008 03:32 AM (GMT)
Louisville, Ky is major transportation hub as well as being within 6 hours to roughly 25% of the population of the country. Louisville has the Next Day Air hub for UPS and as a result has many warehouses and distribution centers. Please consider Louisville in the future.

If not Louisville, maybe:
Cincinatti
Indianapolis
Nashville

ETA: How could I forget that the two Ford plants here produce roughly 750,000 trucks and SUV's every year.

Wvuneers74 - February 20, 2008 08:13 AM (GMT)
Wheeling, Parkersburg, Clarksburg or Charleston, WV - could supply new cargo of Coal

Sioux Falls or Pierre, SD - could supply grain

Rapid City, SD - Known for Black Hills Gold, could add Jewlery as new cargo.

Also new cities in Canada like some have mentioned.

Low Gear07 - February 21, 2008 02:39 AM (GMT)
Hey outlaw agree with you and the other person that mentioned Cincy, but Ghent is on the I71 corridor, and not the I75 Corridor. I am a Kentucky Native that is how I know these places. But you and the other person made a good point.

DreadZer0 - February 21, 2008 05:33 PM (GMT)
2 city suggestions:

Bastia
Ajaccio

Both are in corsica.

Why not?

one thing (not intended to cause offense): why do you still have new orleans in the map after it was nearly destroyed by hurricane katrina?
