Title: 2010 trucks out. Only in Oz?

CavVet - November 9, 2008 08:41 AM (GMT)
Are you guys trying to make us not like the game anymore or what?

In real life different parts of the world get the new model year lineups before other parts.

Burbman - November 9, 2008 03:22 PM (GMT)
I'm sure they will add some soon. I would love a truck that can haul 77k like the Titan. You wouldnt have to repair very often with that truck.

I messaged Lydias, and he told me that more trucks will be in the works eventually for other parts of the world.

Be patient. It is not even 2009 yet, and you are complaining about 2010 trucks. ROFLMAO

All i can say if you want 2010 trucks move to were they are.. like what was stated in real life other parts of the world get new trucks before others.. Im sure there will be other trucks added to the game dont worry..

The 2010 Mack Titan really fits the Aussie continent and I'm ok with it being introduced there first. But the 2010 Peterbilt 386 doesn't make sense, imho. As the 2009 Peterbilt 386 is NA only.

Agreed there. They should make that 2010 Peterbilt available in NA and AU. That would be so much better.

Fisha695 - November 10, 2008 08:42 AM (GMT)
Ok while we are on the subject what kind of trucks does Australia have in real life?

The Big American kind or the Smaller cab-overs that most of Europe/Asia uses?

I mean I know they have the big trucks for the road trains, but what about their regular ones.

BRANDON - November 10, 2008 11:45 AM (GMT)
last i new they ran alot of macks, kenworths, and peterbilts over there.. I also agree about the 386 that is meant for the US not AU and plus if there was a 386 over there in real life i think the guy that owned it would get laughed at.. if any peterbilt should be over there should be a high end 379exhd or 389 apparently we dont like these trucks one of the most popular ones on the road and we have 1 2008 that wont even handle the lowboy...

tennesseedoc - November 17, 2008 11:03 AM (GMT)
I'm I the only one that noticed that the New Peterbilt 386 (green one) is Peterbilts new Hybrid truck yet the fuel mileage is still inline with standard trucks?

Please understand it creates stress, for instance we are already planning the 2039 line-up
and this made one of our engineers have menstrual cramps at the wrong time of the
month which then made him think he was pregnant, so as you can see a little understanding
is in order, thanks!

swampr79 - November 17, 2008 01:33 PM (GMT)
i personally have no problem with the truck lineup and think that its plenty up to date. in the auto industry, the fall is when the next model year is available, so i think they are doing fine on the new model releases. i think its just that we spend so much time here that we get bored with whats available so fast that we want change often. i've been playing for like 6 months or so and new models have been added twice in that time. just my 2 cents

One of my guys gets an RMF or 2 every single day in his 2010 Titan. He's repairing more than when he drove the DAF.

**I still think they are random though, and hes just unlucky this week.

The 2009 Model CLASS 8 tractors are all out in North America the 2010's could appear anytime after January its not like it was years back introduction of new models for NA Cars / Trucks was late October.

All they do is set a time / date on the production and everything after that is the new model year 99% of the time there are no drastic changes unless its a totally new model such as the TITAN ( name was used on a CHEV COE years back ).

My PETE is a 2007 the truck that was built 21 ( 2 days roughly ) units after mine was a 2008

Fisha695 - November 23, 2008 10:49 AM (GMT)
Ok I just found something out about the Titan and possibly why as of now it's only available in Australia.

In real life the Titan has been in Australia since 1995, and 2008/2009 is the first year that it is available in North America.

Peterbuilt and Kenworth are both owned by Paccar Corp and they focus on the Kenworth Product here so most if not all Peterbuilts here are imported by the Owners themselves

To the Developers if you like i can give you a better idea on what Trucks are to be released in Australia instead of the trucks that are on offer, in my opinion this will make Australia more realistic
