Hi all Uplifters from world!!!

I like uplifting trance very much, especially Cyan, Star Children, Darma, Cherouvim...
I live in Ukraine, Kiev and here almost all trancers even dont know about this music..
I got into uplifting after hearings some Cyan tracks 2 years ago..
They threw me into Space...
After that i discovered more & more new Uplifting bands..
but i have not so many information about general state of Uplifting world scene..
Nice that i discovered this forum, so i can discuss labels, artists & compilations with other uplifters from world :)

I hope Uplifting will revive and get international acclaim soon! This is great style of trance, and only not enough amount of information threats it..

Well,uplifting-melodic trance is more popular here in Greece and Israel,and almost dead anywhere else :(

For me it's very hard 2 get real uplifting compilations because i dont have international credit card yet, but i dream about buying uplifting albums sometime :)
and for now i have only mp3-releases from -MS and -HLMP3 with uplifting..((

And i read that soon Spectrum will release album not on label (in underground). Dont you know, this release will be ripped and got 2 direct connect?

Not much time ago i discovered label Unicorn Music, with great nu-goa style releases from Mendark & Radical Distortion, Goasia & Omegahertz..
but also this label released some Uplifting Too!! So now i m dwloading such releases like Conspiracy 1,2..
I have slow dial-up connection, so dwloading takes may time..

I m counting that Greek Uplifters revive Uplifting and brind it 2 World, so anyone evelved in trance ll know about it and it will be easily 2 buy :)

Well, far-far ago in Moscow there was trance label & promo group Area 51, which was interested in developing Goa, Nitzhonot & Uplifting in Moscow.
They released dj-mixes with this music and an album from cyber planet

Also they in cooperation with promo Reactor Sound System(another goa-oriented promo, but prefer more psy-sound) & Electronic Dance Radio "Stancija 106.8FM" (only radio in Russia that played uplifting sometimes..) were making Trance Parties..

And 21 April 2001 (sorry in last post i wrote 2000)
they made The Trance Is Dance Party with Cyan

This is very melodic cd, similar in style 2 combination of Cyan+Astral Projecting+MFG
one track is almost like Russian Uplifting... i ll try 2 dwload it 2 some filehost, if anyone wil be interested )
its CyberPlanet - Victory (Russians Are The Greatest!), which takes melody from Russian Native song "Katjusha" in uplifting style )

As yu should know, uplifting melodic trance didn't went undergound.
it was allways underground and any effort that have been made to make it mainstream has faild.so it was underground and it will allways be that way.
you can download many new tracks here in our forum, almost one new track everyday.
don't be bothered by our greeklish :P we all know english and will answer and talk to you in a way you understand.
ofcourse here in english section we will talk only in english.

any post in other language will be deleted.

man uplifting (nitch o not) is dead.no labels,no new artists-groups only some exceptions.this scene is dead...so we just listen till now and we organise some parties,1-2 max per year.nevertheless we try to make a new beggining.For example negous and mervit ''released''their underground cd,there is an upcoming underground lp too by spectrum and maybe discobole release transistanse 12...
ah,and also we prepare a new label...and maybe sunrain will be opened again...
as you can understand the future is unsure...anyway

So Uplifting was all time in underground. This is new to me - i always think that this is most popular Trance style in Greece... and now there is only 1 or 2 parties & self-made releases..

dreamowner, yes the future is unsure.. but who knows what be next?
Many scenes in electronic music were almost "dead" for some time, and then resurrected..

I think that merging with progressive trance, nu-goa & futurepop can revive uplifting in a new state :)

merging with other kinds of music, for some listeners was the point to abandon this music and move on to psytrance.there should be a limit with the 'mwrging' term coz in the latest compilations, there where tracks more progressive or psychedelic or pure trance,and the uplifting ones were in a way 'bad'. i like the new sound but i like uplifting trance too, so i prefer not to merge, but evolve...bu saying that this music was always underground i mean that even when there where parties with 2000ppl inside, the feeling was underground.like the psychedelic goa scene..rave parties if u have heard...

Only some personal pages of some composers, and there you can learn some things about them and their tracks...not very much! And I don't know if the pages are all in greek,or some use english language ,too. :)

Negous, i listened 2 some demo files from ur album with Mervit.. What i can say - intresting melodic uplifting, sometimes with very attended progressive touch..Its a pity that demos are only near 1 minute. but even counting on this, I think that some these track can easily be released on next Conspiracy Compilation!

But Your Tracks are Quite NiCE ReaL Uplifting! And they have some psychedelic touch too!

myStiq^, yes, maybe you are right.. To save unique UpLiFTiNg vibe, style must evolve & not merge completely..
I understand this after listening 2 some stuff from Conspiracy compilations - this is nice music, but sometimes FAR more proggy that i like..

I've had contacts with cherouvim but he...wont let me.

u mean the original cd or u just want the tracks?
cherouvim is out of this kind of music for about 5 years now..also global touch 2 is written and produced by qsys (a member of the group cherouvim) but you wont find this cd original coz the production company has closed years now and the cd is out of date...
so the only way u can find original this cd is to buy it used from a person that wants to sell it (I dont think there is anyone that would sell such a cd!)

We only discuss about making music, but when time to discuss his tracks, his very quiet...dont know why maybe u might tell me. I know very well that he stopped right after releasing Lunatix, INT20H and global touch 2, and that he now produces european psytrance.

Hey when did DU recs. shut down. And if DU was underground, how did Verros manage to release music outside greece???

I hope u understand..I take the uplifting music very serious. Since the first time I heard global touch 2, I threw all the other types of music I had and tried to get underground uplifting. This is not like any trance before, seriously though it has evolved through some cheesy flavours but to me the music is so touching, especially from those rare composers.

in gt2 qsys used some equipment didnt he? more crisp karamouza samples :P
anyway global touch 2 is much better than the first one, and thats because the first one was cherouvim the second one is QSYS

nop, the equipment was not the same.global touch 1 war ritten in fasttracker mostly.
globaltouch 2 has better sound because of the use of madtracker, beter mastering, more quality samples..and the most inportant much more experience..

What exactly did cherouvim do in global touch 2?? does anyone know??

Not all tracks in cherouvim-global touch are from cherouvim; 3 from panos and 2 from kostas qsys.

cherouvim is supposed to have done the compilation and the mixing of gt2 but we think he might have only given his name for the promotion of the cd.
