Title: Info On How To Find Out More About Old Mp3 Tracks
Description: info on artist, album, etc. via Winamp

Hi there!

For me, personally, it ofter happens that a certain MP3 file does not have any info in the ID3 tag, it's just the name of the file that gives me the info, for example,
mike verros - melodic aura.mp3

This could happen if a friend gives you a CD and you quickly rip the songs without attaching the info. Anyway, it could happen under other circumstances as well, my point was to give you a tip how to find out some more track info.
  • Download the latest version of Winamp player through the official website: www.winamp.com; and install it
  • Once you've opened your misterious track, go to the playlist editor, right-click it and click on Track Info (I personally select it and press Alt+3)
  • There's the new function called Auto-Tag in the lower-right corner. It will find more info on the web, such as artist, track name and number, year, producer, compilation, etc. GOOD!!!
  • If you want to do this to more than one tracks, simply select them, right-click + Send To -> Auto-Tag. Winamp will look them up on the internet and give you suggestions.
Example: Some years ago I quickly copied (ripped) a CD from a friend and I got some tracks with no additional info on them:
M:\Music\TRANCE\Karahana\Karahana_1.mp3

After Auto-Tag I found out:
Track# 1
Title: (Reverse Psychology & Astrix) Karahana 2
Artist: Eyal Barkan
Album: Karahana 2
Year: 1999

It might not be ALWAYS very accurate [check before clicking OK] but better than nothing :)

ENJOY :ooo:

Cool invention! I might download this as well cause my mp3 collection is a mess...

I use it when my MP3 player or cell phone has some strange untitled files. But again, it's good to be careful, because uplifting does not have that popularity, Winamp can came it wrong. Better than nothing! B)

If that program doesn't give you a solution to unknown Uplifting music, I suggest you to use Discogs...

All possible Nitzhonot albums from 1998-1999 are to be found on this database.
Here you got some main Nitzhonot labels from that period:

Typhoon Records
Planet Music
Nachman Records

Good luck! ;)

EDIT: I saw you already know about this site...that's a good thing! :D
If you wanna buy real Uplifting music, it's indeed the place to be, cause they offer a lot of second hand old compilations...too bad the prices are way too high sometimes...
Another option is to use Ebay, type 'Israeli Trance' in the search menu and if you're lucky you'll find some Uplifting stuff in between the Psytrance CD's. That's how I do!

I'll ask my English teacher, he knows how to buy from eBay, I have an account but I don't know how to do it :) I have a credit card and I would be willing to buy second-hand uplifting CD's, but it's 2008 - you know, not every reseller is reliable and accurate... BUT! Why the h*ll woud ANYONE sell his original uplifting oldskool CD's
