Sorry about that, I remember there used to be some kind of humorous video thread but I searched to no avail. First time I had seen it!
Did the Gobots really come out before TF? It seems like they were right about the same time.

Yes, they did, but the Transformers kicked their asses. And Hasbro bought their Franchise a few years later. I think they named the Minicons like the GoBots characters, if I recall....

Hasbro first used GoBots for a Generation 2 guy that changed colors when sprayed with water. Later in G2, they called all the little guys that were like hot-wheels styled racer cars in vehicle mode 'Go Bots' They were actually kinda cool, and got used again during Robots In Disguise a few series later. Even made it into the cartoon.

And in Armada all the Minicons were named Leader-1 it seemed. Slagging dubbing errors.
