Nice tentacles.

Very nicely done. The coloring, for the most part, is understated and very subtyle yet impressive. You get the feeling that even though it's a monsterous green and purple creature, it might just be able to slink around rooftops and other city areas without being noticed simply because it's colors arn't attention grabbers. That is a truely impressive bit of work, particularly considering that almost every surface area has been given a different lighting, which is nessisary to show that they are in fact different surface areas, and these veins arn't under the skin, they actually bulge out.

Now the bad part: The buildings in the left side all look over lit, while the buildings on the right side look about right. This leads to a bit of dissodance when you try to figure out the light source, and then realise that the sun(?) is comming from behind them. Particularly when you try to compare it to the light source on the creature/gargoyle(that the creatures crouching over, it should be in shadow but it's brightly lit).

Secondly, the drool is a bright green, but only once it leaves his mouth. The inside of the mouth is clearly visible, and there is no sign of even a greenish cast. Looks kinda like he's got a bit of glowing gree kelp stuck on his front teeth...

well, the lighting was kinda pre-disposed, but I see what you mean. The buildings in the back though are 'big city' while the ones in the foreground, right are all more mid-townish, and therefore really wouldn't be as brightly lit. The way they drew the skyscrapers (which are brightly lit at night) left me with little choice, but perhaps I overstated the light.

Oh, and that's the moon

The drool, I see what you mean, maybe I should have colored the inside of the mouth a bit greener. He didn't have much droolyness on him, other than what you see there. It was kinda weird for them to draw that even.

The overall effect will be a bit different too, once the lettering is in place (which will cover a lot of the skyscape)

Thanks for the words and critiques!

Oh, I'm not saying it's any fault of yours, just that it's something I see odd about the picture. The lighting on those buildings looks like it was like that in the original sketch and brought out by the inking, so you did what you could.

The drooly just looks kinda odd honestly. Nothing on the tounge, nothing on the upper teeth, and if it was drawn in there on the original sketch... um only thing I can think of is to have made it white/transparent and added some highlights on the tounge/teeth to imply that it's glistening in the light. I don't know. Still, aside from it looking isolated, you did good work on it.

With the moon being that large and bright, and the overall brightness of the picture it threw me into a bit of confusion. If this is meant to be a night scene, it should be darker(at least the sky should), and if it's meant to be a morning scene(suns up, and would be causing those reflections on the skyscrapers) the moon shouldn't be that bright. Either way, it's nothing major. Cities often have odd lighting effects in them naturally, and it's entirely possible that the sun just coming up is making the setting moon glow extra brightly. I don't know. Either way you go, the problem is a minor one, and the image as a whole is quite good.
