Title: TF2: Revenge of the Si... er I mean "Fallen"
O.Supreme - June 5, 2008 02:48 PM (GMT)
Greetings,
several websites are reporting a posible title for TF2 as "Revenge of the Fallen", as this term was trademarked by Hasbro recently, but nothing solid has been confirmed....
I'm going to go wayyy out on a limb here and say whether this turns out to be the official title or not, I bet we see Autobbots & Decepticons "joining forces" in the next film against a 3rd faction....... If I'm wrong no loss.. I just wanted to be the first to say it if it comes to be true ;)

If that is the case... berk! I do not like the title...
They could have just name it: TF2: The Fallen.

Probably just rumor. Or deliberate misinformation. One way or the other, a lot of times movies don't get named until further into the project.
Prisma Nova - June 5, 2008 03:15 PM (GMT)
They should consider: "TF2: The Search for Megatron" or "TF2: The Wrath of Starscream". Just a suggestion... :pimp:

OR any of these would work
TF2:
Electric Boogaloo
Nerds in Paradise
The Heretic
Their First Assignment
;)

The Fallen was stupid anyway. Who'd want to use that rusty turd again?

I hope they don't have a Bot/Con teamup already. That's too "X2".

People over at AICN are saying that it's misinformation, and that the real title is the equally bad Transformers 2: Metal Reformed
Dinobot 2 - June 6, 2008 02:48 AM (GMT)
I like 'Metal Reformed' a whole lot more.

As much as The Fallen had his place(I mean, who wouldn't enjoy a villain who is perpetually on fire?) I rather think this is misinformation. In fact I really HOPE this is misinformation.
Then again, considering that Megatron has fallen by the end of the first one...
Dreadnought - June 6, 2008 09:42 PM (GMT)
What is "Metal Reformed"?

Alternatively - "the Fallen" could mean - the warriors who fell in battle.
Roadbuster - June 9, 2008 03:07 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I seriously doubt that the term 'the Fallen' had anything to do with ... the Fallen. He had a relatively short life in the latter comics, and there's a good chance that Bay's never even heard of him.
Prisma Nova - June 9, 2008 03:23 PM (GMT)
Could just be Megatron... he is "The Fallen", not only because he died, but because he used to be a legitimate leader on Cybertron, as Lord Protector.
Roadbuster - June 9, 2008 03:26 PM (GMT)
yeah, I would be pretty sure that was the case.

IGN Movies is reporting via CHUD, who has supposedly confirmed the 'Fallen' title with an inside source, that the title refers to the Fallen of DreamWave comics. Interesting.

rumor or misinformation. Seriously doubt it.
Prisma Nova - June 9, 2008 08:00 PM (GMT)
I also doubt it, "The Fallen" has only come out for a very short time in DW's "War Within" series. Doubt it they would include a very recent character, and not as important as the other characters.

My money is on misinformation.
However, it wouldn't be impossible for the movie to take that turn. With Megatron dead and out of the running, they'd need a new threat to challenge our heroes. The Fallen is a threatening villian, with a pretty dramatic appearance. Plus it builds towards Unicron without charging right into Unicron.
I just really doubt they'll go there.
