Ice Cream Truck In TF2 - Twin Autobots? & More Vehicles By bwbm on Thursday, June 05, 2008 @ 07:40:21 AM As "Transformers 2" principal photography wraps up in Bethlehem, PA, some new images have popped up from the shoot. We won't bore you with the images of the steel plant anymore nor Tyrese Gibson dressed up; however, we will show you an interesting photos of an ice cream truck. An ice cream truck? What? A couple of images from "Squal42080" via "Transformers 2" Director Michael Bay's official message boards shows a beat up, old, pink ice cream truck with the top of an ice cream cone on the roof, driving around the set. What this is doing in the fictional Chinese city is not exactly known, but there has a been a rumor floating around that it will become two Autobots. That's right, not one Autobot, but twin Autobots. "Chaingun" of Seibertron reports this information after interviewing an individual leaving the Bethlehem shoot wearing a "Transformers 2" crew identification card. While the information sounds a bit odd, scriptwriter Roberto Orci has said that the movie may feature up to 20 robots. The report from "Chaingun" also references that a red Acura NSX and a grey and black Audi RS6 have been spotted on set. "Nelson," the administrator of Mr. Bay's Shoot For the Edit, presents some contrasting evidence that an Audi RS8 has been spotted at Bethlehem Steel. A blue Chevrolet Corvette has been spotted on the site as well, according to "nelson." Please note that he has added a disclaimer that these reports are not from him. He also links to an image gallery featuring Mr. Bay with a white Audi R8, which he incorrectly calls an RS8. Many automotive news sites and blogs have been reporting that the RS8 is an R8 with a 530 horsepower V10, but this vehicle is currently in development and does not officially have a name. How does the news of twin Autobots or a NSX and R8 sound to you? Does this sound plausible? Sound off in the comments.

TF2 Call Sheet Reveals New Actors, Bots, Plot Points By bwbm on Friday, June 06, 2008 @ 09:35:50 AM Transformers Live Action Blog has been provided a call sheet for "Transformers 2: The Revenge Of the Fallen" from the Bethlehem, PA shoot that has just wrapped up. According to the call sheet, the shooting will take place for 84 days, not including built-in days off. The following information is a summary of the information that may be found in its entirety here. Some of the analysis done found here is not at the Transformers Live Action Movie blog, and was done by TFormers. Remember there are SPOILERS below! NEW ROBOTS: We'll jump into the best parts you guys are here for. Arcee will definitely be in the picture. However, the call sheet calls for "3 Arcee motorcycles," and whether or not this refers to the Can-Am Spyder we've seen before, is unknown. The confusion lies where two trikes are listed further down the call sheet and in the images we saw of the Spyder, there were only two of this vehicle on the trailer. Whether or not there were others being transported separately is not known. What the crew is using to describe the Spyder (motorcyle vs. trike), is unknown, since it all depends on who you ask to classify the vehicle. Transformers Live Blog seems to be confident that the Can-Am Spyder will be Arcee's alternate mode. The Twins, as they are referred to as on the call sheet, will bear the alternate mode of an old, beat-up ice cream truck. Jetfire will be making an appearance in the film with an alternate mode of an SR-71 Blackbird. Stinger is also listed on the calls sheet, without an alternate mode listed. However, the Live Blog believes the character will have a Porsche alternate mode. A previously reported Audi, now confirmed as a R8, is speculated as an unnamed Decepticon by the Live Action Blog. A speculated Transformer to appear will be Wheels with a possible Go-Kart as an alternate mode. The Live Action Blog calls out a Constructicon Earth Mover and is attributed to possibly being associated with a well-known combiner. NEW ACTORS: Ramon Rodriguez (The Wire) has been cast in the film as Leo, and was filmed at the Bethlehem set, and will take part in scenes alongside Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox further along the filming schedule. Andrew Howard (Band of Brothers) has been cast to support Matthew Marsden, who will play Graham, a member of the U.K. Special Forces. NEW PLOT POINTS: The next stop in filming is the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C., where Sam, Mikeala, Simmons, and Leo are looking for a Splinter. The Live Action Blog suggests it may be a fragment of the AllSpark that was taken from Megatron after he was destroyed (?) at the end of the first film. Filming is scheduled from today, June 6th until Sunday June 8th,

Records The SR-71 remained the world's fastest and highest-flying operational manned aircraft throughout its career. From an altitude of 80,000 ft (24 km), it could survey 100,000 square miles per hour (72 square kilometers per second) of the Earth's surface. In addition, it was accurate enough to take a picture of a car's license plate from this altitude.[10] On 28 July 1976, an SR-71 broke the world record for its class: an absolute speed record of 1905.80993 knots (2,193.1669 mph, 3,529.56 km/h), and an "absolute altitude record" of 85,068.997 feet (25,929 m).[11][12] Several airplanes exceeded this altitude in zoom climbs but not in sustained flight.[13] When the SR-71 was retired in 1990, one was flown from its birthplace at United States Air Force Plant 42 in Palmdale, California to go on exhibit at what is now the Smithsonian Institution's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center (an annex of the National Air & Space Museum) in Chantilly, Virginia. The Blackbird, piloted by Colonel Ed Yielding and Lt. Col. J.T. Vida, set a coast-to-coast speed record at an average 2,124 mph (3,418 km/h). The entire trip was reported as 68 minutes and 17 seconds. Three additional records were set within segments of the flight, including a new absolute top speed of 2,242 mph measured between the radar gates set up in St. Louis and Cincinnati. These were accepted by the National Aeronautic Association (NAA), the recognized body for aviation records in the United States.[14][15] An enthusiast site devoted to the Blackbird lists a record time of 64 minutes.[16] The SR-71 also holds the record for flying from New York to London in 1 hour 54 minutes and 56.4 seconds, set on 1 September 1974. This equates to an average velocity of about Mach 2.68, including slowing down for in-flight refueling. Peak speeds during this flight were probably closer to the declassified top speed of Mach 3.2+. (For comparison, the best commercial Concorde flight time was 2 hours 52 minutes, and the Boeing 747 averages 6 hours 15 minutes.)

Sunday, June 08, 2008 More Pictures from Udvar-Hazy Thanks to "Roboquaker" here are more pictures taken on Saturday, June 7th at The Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center which I was informed is near Dullest National Airport in Dulles, VA which is about 30 miles northwest of Washington, DC. Because of its proximity to the airport, its airspace is not a no-fly zone hence the reason that Bay could land his personal jet. A few notes on what he saw: - DreamWorks picked up the $12 parking for everyone who came by yesterday. - John Turturro, Megan Fox, and Shia Lebeouf were all part of the scene around the SR-71 Blackbird. - They were checking out something under the plane, then John yelled something and Shia and Megan ran off towards the other military planes. - They had this radio controlled jeep (my son thought it was Ironhide) that led Megan and Shia under the Blackbird and then out to the other part of the museum. I guess this is Wheels. I have two fuzzy shots of it. - Later they had a space capsule thingy rolling around near the Blackbird. In regards to his descriptions, from the call sheets "[Simmons] lets Wheels out of box." later "Wheels pulls in front of SR-71. Points. Simmons takes reading." This indicates that Wheels is very small Transformer. Also a line is "Jetfire transforms. Knocks space capsule onto floor."

could also be something like Roller

It sounds to me like this is a 'first time' spotting of Jetfire scene, and the humans are with the 'Wheels' using it as a scannerbot or something?

Saab Aero-X Debuts in Transformers Sequel - 2009 April 1st, 2008 by Ryan According to a highly credible source as of late that ties into a mention by Eric Geers during an interview at the North American International Auto Show in January, the Saab Aero-X Concept car will be debuting in the second Transformers film which apparently will be on or near June 24th 2009. With General Motors the main sponsor for the first Transformers movie in 2007, it gives even more credibility to this news as of late as the Saab brand under GM ownership making an appropriate debut like this. I understand that the Saab Aero-X will be a new version of the transformer character called “WheelJack”. Wheeljack has many similiar design elements, especially the notable wrap-around windscreen and white body color. The irony if this character is chosen to embody the Aero-X concept car, is that “wheeljack”, was apparently a LANCIA vehicle, harkening back to Saab’s past history collaborating with Lancia (Fiat) on both the Saab 600 and 9000 projects. I wonder if the Saab Aero-X will take on a new transforming routine by converting into a jet, hence the “Born From Jets” tagline or will it turn into the same character as Wheeljack, just a robot or both a robot and an airplane? It will be interesting as time moves on where and when this Aero-X will be depicted in this film.

Chevrolet Beat To Be Featured in Transformers 2 By bwbm on Monday, June 09, 2008 @ 05:15:48 PM So it looks like the Hummer HX will not be the only concept vehicle that will be featured in "Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen." According to Autoblog, the Chevrolet Beat will be featured in the film as well. Which robot it will serve as an alternate is unknown, if at all. The vehicle was spotted at the Udvar-Hazy Museum shoot that happened this weekend in Chantillly, VA. The Beat debuted at the 2007 New York Auto Show along with sister vehicles Trax and Groove. Individuals were asked to vote for which vehicle they would like to see General Motors build, and since the Beat won the vote hands down, what's a better way to chalk up interest for the vehicle than putting it into a movie that will surely be a blockbuster hit? Thanks to "Blitz" for the heads up!
