I've been watching everything else on YouTube, so I figured why not the end of RiD? Somehow I missed those last 8 or so episodes when it aired. Everything past "A Friendly Competition".

About 2 seconds ago I finished watching the last episode.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell that was special. SkyByte is still my favorite character in the entire show. Not hard to do. At one point I started checking my e-mail, because they ran about a dozen transformation sequences back-to-back. Through an entire episode I was talking with OM and another episode with GS on AIM. You really don't have to pay that much attention to follow the story.
It was halfway decent. Nothing remarkable, but nothing too horrible either. At least I can say I watched it all now. Bleh.

My Car Robots episodes are more easy to access than my RID ones, so they are my set of choice when it comes to this series. It's been a while since I watched those as well, but as I recall all the battle scenes with BraveMaximus were pretty cool (especially when he goes up against the whole Destronger base with Gigatron as it's Hand heh...). Also the final battle GodFire Convoy vs. Devil Gigatron at the Earth's core was pretty cool. Yeah all the back-to-back TF sequences got kind of repetative, but they weren't nearly as annoying as the ones on TF:Cybertron where they added in filler dialogue just to make them seem important when really they weren't. Since this series is a "Stand Aone" among all the other TF series, this is the one I would want to have a sequel made from(since most of the antagonists were not destroyed, or converted to the good side, just imprisoned amazingly). Maybe someday in comic form... who knows

A sequel would work.
I used to kick around the idea of a remake, but there were a lot of cute, humorous moments from the show that I'd want to retain. There were a lot of missed opportunities in RiD though. Too much of the status quo and not enough plot twists for my liking.

I wouldn't mind seeing Sky-Byte in TFA.

Hell. Yes. I think Sideburn would fit in well too. :D

I need to go back and rewatch them (and I didn't even watch them that long ago!)

I do remember vaguely that I was a little disappointed in the end. It was just kind of anti-climatic.

There was one comic-appearence of the RiD bots in the DW verse!

Yeah, but even DW squandered their opportunity. I know it was just a quick little summer special, but they didn't do anything with their 8 pages that hadn't been done in the show a thousand times already.
