Title: Need a good pic of Voltron

Mako Crab - June 12, 2008 09:42 PM (GMT)
Just like it says. I'm customizing our product sheets down at work and one of my managers requested Voltron. How can I say no to that?! :P
Anyway, the pics that I've found on the net are not very good. Lots of low quality stuff.

Do you have a preferrence?

Animated series, toy picture, or comic??

Probably a still from a comic book would be the best quality, but I wasn't sure exactly what you wanted.

I was thinking just a snap shot from the toon, but if you know of a cool pic from the comics, then send it my way.

Thanks for the pic up there, Grim, but that's not quite what I had in mind. He looks like he was drawn by Pat Lee! All poofy and squatting. Not to sound ungrateful- I hope :peace:

I always preferred Voltron 1 for reasons I can't explain. Perhaps it was because I was such a big fan of the Shogun Warriors.

They're also what made me interested in TF (besides the Dinobots). Bombshell's face reminded me of Mazinger.

Mazinger Z was great. I loved it when I was a small bot.

One of my first true loves was Captain Future and UFO Robo Grendizer  :catsip

That's a great pic PfP!

I personally was a Voltron child, and I loved both the Vehicle and the lion bot.

I'm currently running a long Lion-Voltron rpg over at Blues Club. Icefang and Dread are both part of it (and I'm looking for some new players too!)

are you in Houston? :P

And I thoguht I was the only Vehicle Voltron fan left heh....... Anyway soon they will have their spotlight as later this year the DVD sets will be out (presumably after the GoLion sets are finished of which the first one came out about 2 weeks ago).

Although Sony at the time tried on a cheap budget to do what WEP did by transforming Mazinger Z into "Tranzor Z", it still got me interested and am glad I have the original japanese series on DVD.

As PM said, Grendizer was HUGE in Canada (and in most of Europe & South America as well), unfortunately the "Force Five" Grandizer Dub only gave U.S. fans about 1/3 of the series (along with fractions of Getter Robo G & Gaiking, and Danguard Ace, yup more Shoguns for you BZ!) ;)

I *wish* they would do a Masterpiece Vehicle Voltron. That's one toy I never had, the GIANT Vehicle Voltron by Matchbox, and I always thought that toy was cooler than the five lion one.

O.Supreme - June 13, 2008 06:25 PM (GMT)
Hey if we are finally getting a Beta Fighter from Robotech after 20+ years, anything is possible. I had the original, Matchbox one and it was quite cool, I just never had Voltron II (Gladiator). Also I remember about the time that Voltron 3D was on the air Toys R Us was selling a knockoff VV right next to the Trendmasters Voltron toys

Roadbuster - June 13, 2008 06:33 PM (GMT)
Really? I never saw that! I totally woulda picked it up if it was the big one.

I've debated finding one on Ebay, but they're usually missing a ship, or broken... or expensive...

If they just did the Lion Voltron Masterpiece, I'm hopeful that they'll turn to the Vehicle one...

Poop-Flinger Prime - June 13, 2008 08:04 PM (GMT)
bah! I don't need anymore online games.
