Title: A Bridge Too Close (TFA Season 2 finale!)
Description: So many spoilers it's not even funny...

Wow. Just...wow...

Part I:
The clones are awesome! Hope the female one stays around. Is it me or is BB more of an ass than usual during this part? Anyone notice Corey Burton having a good conversation with himself? Hell, he even keeps himself guessing. Great stuff. One word: Blurisawesomefastandcool. :blahblahblah:

Part II:
[Starts singing]
Big-O!
Big-O! Big-O! Big-O!
Big-O!
Big-O! Big-O! Big-O!
Cast in the name of God
Ye not the guilty
We have came to team!
Big-O!
[/singing]
Seriously, I can't get the song out of my head. Hell, this is the first time in over a year that I feel the need to make an AMV. It's just that perfect!

Anyways, Omega is awesome, of course, but nothing made me happier than to see him wack the Sunstorm clone! :krem:

Only things I pissed me off was the credits. Stupid YTV ruined the fun of a great joke! Hopfully CN won't do the same. If they do, then the DVD can't come off soon enough!

Jackass Maximus - June 29, 2008 11:09 AM (GMT)
I was a little miffed about the credits, too. GREAT eps, though; probably the best so far. I'm soooo excited about the prospect of DEVASTATOR next season.

Mako Crab - June 29, 2008 04:11 PM (GMT)
Oh that poor fool working for YTV. I wonder if he knows that the entire fan community hates him now. :killsmurf:

Awesome, awesome episode and I too hope the female Starscream sticks around. She's definitely the coolest of the new batch.

LightSlayer - June 29, 2008 05:04 PM (GMT)
That kicked ass! Omega was amazing!

I want to know what part of Starscream the female clone comes from, heh.

Now for the long wait till season 3.....

Dreadnought - June 29, 2008 05:13 PM (GMT)
Female Starscream, maybe his Prima-dona side"? lol I loved the eps and thought this was a great renditopn of Omega Supreme, he's never seemed so "human" before.

I was assuming she was Starscream's treachery. She is female after all.

I thought she was cleverness, since she has great come backs and seem to notice things quickly.

Jackass Maximus - June 30, 2008 12:51 AM (GMT)
I don't think she really comes from anything, and is just there as an homage to the more feminine (Japanese) interpretations of everyone's favourite backstabber.

Anyone notice around the 3 minute mark Youtube bugs out on all the "A Bridge too Close" part 1 videos...

That's just as, if not more, painful if you don't have Veoh TV installed. Btw, tried Veoh TV. Not bad, but rather just be able to watch it without it.

Rod, does it stop loading or just cuts off? Eitherway, try this: start loading the movie again and skip on the bar to around where you left off. Youtube will start loading to video from the point that you skipped to.

Roadbuster - June 30, 2008 09:40 PM (GMT)
rofl I derive amusement that you complained about Veoh in the same post that you tried to help someone with a YouTube glitch rofl

But seriously, GREAT episode!!

I WANT OMEGA SUPREME TOY NOW!!!!

And I hope they do small sizes of some of the seekers (though I don't want a battalion of Voyager sized ones!!)

Which two seekers took off with Blurr?

lesseee colorschemes:

Female: Dirge
Suckup: Sunstorm
Liar: Ramjet
Coward: Skywarp (bastards)
Elitest: Thundercracker
So... was there a Thrust in there?

Blur and one or two seekers are lost in who knows where.

Omega, Megatron and Starscream are also lost who knows where-else.

Blitzwing and Lugnut might be with them...

And the contsructicons are buried in the rubble.

right?

Dreadnought - June 30, 2008 09:45 PM (GMT)
The pathelogical liar had the thrust color scheme. Wasn't ramjet heavy red and black while thrust was more white and black? And I think Megalomaniac and Coward got sucked through with Blurr but I'm not sure. I AM sure it was meglomaniac though.

He better be BIG. At least Supreme size (Hell, even the name calls for it). I hope for a cockpit to for either a Deluxe or Activator Ratchet.

Skywarp and Thundercracker are with Blurr. I'm calling them that because the set up for them to become Skywarp and Thundercracker is there and Hasbro plans to make both (Mega for Skywarp and Activator for Thundercracker).

Female is no where close to Dirge. Dirge is blue with yellow, female is teal/green with purple. I'm pretty sure she's just a more feminine version of Starscream. Yes, the liar is Ramjet, the head being white gives it away. No Thrust or Dirge in the clones, not sure why Ramjet is there though.

Can't wait for Season 3 for answers.

No, they were left outside with (possibly dead) Seekers.

Bet they will fix Blitzwing and Lugnut (and Seekers, if they aren't dead) and start searching for Megs...again.

Nope, Ramjet's main body was white. His wings were red with black, which this version was missing, but I'm still sure that was a Ramjet nod.

QUOTE

Yes and no. Dirge had a blue body, and, just like Ramjet, had brown wings ('gold') with black pieces. Again, they likely just dropped the wing color. She also was similar in color to the Dirge used for BWII.

AH... no... you know who I'm actually thinking of?! I KNEW a seeker had those colors... Generation 2 RAMJET was blue and teal!

BlackZarak - July 1, 2008 05:15 PM (GMT)
She's the part of Starscream that likes boys. heh

Great episode. Omega Supreme was awesome. His sacrifice suited his character. If he'd done that in the original series and G2 we'd still have the Ark and San Francisco. heh Anyway, that fight scene was beautiful. I love when his head spins around and he blasts Lugnut to shreds. That's the way a fight with Omega Supreme should be.

I love how "Ramjet" kicks Starscream when he is down in homage to the kick Starscream gave Megatron in TFTM.

The cut-away during the credits was retarded. Their programming goons should know better.

I love Shockwave's voice, as well as Blurr's. It's nice to hear those familiar voices again.

Nice cliffhanger about Sari being a robot, too. I wonder if she's a cyborg or a full blown bot. I mean, the Autobots didn't register her as anything but organic. You'd think they'd pick up on something.

If she is a Sumdac bot, does that make her a descendant of Megatron?

Also, is it me, or has anyone else noticed that Lugnut looks like he was originally supposed to be Shockwave. He even has the proper color scheme.

I can't wait for season 3.

Exactly. Every seeker present had a previously used color scheme.

Here's hopin that CN doesn't screw with the credits!

He's far more Ramjet than Thrust. Here's picture proof:

Not quite close enough to say she's based on either. I mean, it's like saying Star Saber's colors are based on Starsceam's colors because they both have red, white (gray), and blue.

It might be G2 Ramjet, but the colors have been moved all over the place and most of the black is gone. If she's based on any offical seeker, I'd say this one. However, I don't think she's based on any offical seeker.

Now then, I swear I've seen her before as a fan character. Same color set up and female. I just can't find it anywhere.

I hope they make all of these Starscream repaints.

I think she's some weird technorganic thing. Remember when the AllSpark was trying to communicate with her in the season 1 finale (when Prof. Sumdac tried to confess something to her)? It showed her a DNA strand. Maybe it was trying to tell her that she's got some Cybertronian elements in her genetic code.

Yeah, but I hope they make them in the Activator size, and not at the $20 Voyager size...

Oh c'mon, Roady! I miss the days of having an entire shelf of Decepticon jets.

I wish they'd made the "green seeker", too. heh

Roadbuster - July 2, 2008 05:08 PM (GMT)
yes... but at $20 a pop... Blech...
Now if they want to retool for a female one, that'd be really cool!

Omega Sweet :HoD

O.Supreme - July 3, 2008 05:18 AM (GMT)
I've watched segments of the finale, but I'll record the whole episode and watch it this coming Saturday, and reserve final judgement until then. However I'll give the writers credit for thoroughly working out details of the entire 29 episode run (thus far) from beginnng to end.

I found my tape containing the 3 part premiere and decided to give it a second chance. One of the first thngs Prime does when they encounter the Decepticon ship is "order defense code OMEGA", however Teletran-1 states that this function has been deactivated to conserve energy. Kind of neat to see how they brought that back around to bring Omega Supreme back online in the last episode.

My only question is now.... If Prime's crew were literally Space Bride Maintenance, and were so unimportant, how did they end up with a ship that was basically one of the most powerful Autobots of all?? My only guess could be that since the ruling Autobots felt the cons' were no longer a threat, that is why they deactivated Omega, and thought nothing of giving it to a low level tech crew. If there is a season 3 it will be ineresting to see if there are more Omega class Guaridan ships. I cant recall the look of the ship Magnus came in wh the Elite Guard, but I wonder if there is any chance of seeing an "Omega Sentinel" in the future.

Remember, the war took place millions to billions of years ago. Omega was powerful then, but died near the end of the wars. It's only logical to say that Omega is old tech and the Autobots/Elite Guard use much more powerful weapons for their last line of defence now.

OR

Omega's tech needs a spark to work and the Autobots couldn't replace that without the Allspark, so they had to make new weapons that didn't need a spark to work.

Eitherway, Omega seemed unusable to anyone without his spark or Sari's key. Also note is that him a Ratchet know each other. Maybe the Elite Guard was going the depose of the ship and Ratchet stopped them, suggesting Space Bridge duty instead.

Pretty much, the writers have given us enough to do guess work until they clear it up.

Roadbuster - July 3, 2008 03:08 PM (GMT)
Has it really been stated to be millions to billions of years ago? I didn't think they said....

Now, another possibility here is that there's *coughcough* More Than Meets the Eye to Prime's crew...

An Elite Guard trained academy bot
A master Spacebridge technician
The best surgeon on Cybertron
A partially trained ninja
... and Bumblebee. (they needed someone to fill out the roster...?)

All riding around in what basically amounts to the carcass of a dead Autobot hero and looking at Space Bridges.

A lot of coincidental talent there.

I was kind of thinking the same thing. Also I am seeing Bumblebee as the "Diamond in the rough" that Hot Rod was in the original series, unless of course a Hot Rod/Rodimus character is introduced later. An Elite Guard BB repaint toy has been reported on a Jpanese TF site. I am guessing BB gets promoted to "Gold Bug" at some point.

Wow! Great episode! Can't wait until season 3 (which they will hopefully play on all stations around the world on the same frickin day)

I don't know exactly how YTV screwed up the credits, but Cartoon Network decided to talk over half of them, so most of Starscream and Megatron's banter was missed. Guess we'll have to wait for the dvd. Maybe they were saying something...inapproriate ;)

They did the "Squish the screen into a corner and show another screen in a bigger size" thing a lot of networks do, but the poofy, blonde haired guy who did the talking was particularly annoying, as he talked through the ENTIRE credits.

BlackZarak - July 6, 2008 07:26 PM (GMT)
Perhaps we can bitch at Cartoon Network to get them to post the credits online.

Here's their feedback link. Send them a message and let them know how we fell. Spread the word to other boards!

I wanna know what they said, dammit!
