When SRK knelt before a wheel chair in Madame Tussauds
By IndiaFM News Bureau, April 9, 2007 - 11:14 IST
went to see Shahrukh Khan in London when he came to unveil his statue at Madame Tussauds wax museum. I was accompanied by five young women from Shahrukh Khan's French fan club, Shahrukhfan.fr. We knew that only media people would be allowed to get into the museum, but despite this, we came from France, hoping to see Shahrukh, and maybe talk to him.
I am on a wheelchair and it was almost vital for me to tell him that when I see him dance, my body too dances, that I can dance with his body. I so much wanted to thank him! We went to the museum at 7am and we waited for hours in the icy wind of London. We talked to the bodyguards, they were giants but very nice ones; people were getting more and more excited and less and less controllable. They had come from all parts of the world, "only" to catch a glimpse of Shahrukh: France, Japan, Australia, and Trinidad.
Then he came. Suddenly no one remembered me, our small group was scattered, literally ejected meters away from me, I was sandwiched between Nani, who was helplessly holding the wheelchair, and the bodyguard, with my head flattened against him. I managed to move my head away, and I saw Shahrukh, with his caramel-coloured skin, his black hair and beautiful smile.
Then, for one second, our eyes met. How strange. Try to imagine: the overexcited crowd, the hysteria, the bodyguards, and our eyes met, although he was three meters away from me, with lots of people between us, and my chair wasn't at all at the level of his eyes. Then everything became black. The tsunami was dangerously shaking my chair. My face was flattened against the bodyguard. All that came to my mind was that the wedge of the armchair was completely driven into the guard's legs, and Nani was doing her very best to prevent me from falling on the ground. Then the bodyguard moved, with one hand he was holding the crowd and with the other he made sure that I could see something. In fact, it's because Shahrukh was kneeling down that the guard moved. He was kneeling down for me. It was like being in a cave with human walls, we were in front of each other, and I was able to tell him thank you, I could tell him that he made me dance. He didn’t understand. People were screaming and my English wasn't good, I was too nervous.
He asked me, surprised, if I wanted to dance. I said "no, I don't want to dance, I dance with your body". He smiled, took my face with infinite tenderness, and kissed me on the forehead. He didn't smell cigarette, nor perfume, only a nice body odour. His kiss wasn't wet but not dry either. It was complete. He went away and I didn't see him again. What more can I tell you? This man gives off strength. When he came near me I felt this strength, he gives and gives, only with his presence.
It wasn't a star kissing a disabled woman for publicity. I felt the human being, full of tenderness. He is able to do a lot of good. I don't understand why Tussauds tried desperately to discourage us from coming. I hope Shahrukh knows that the reason why there weren't more people is that Tussauds refused to give information, kept repeating that we wouldn't see him, laughed at us. The public relations of the museum strung us along; Tussauds didn't want us to come. I don't know why and I hope this will reach Shahrukh's ears. If it does: thank you, Shahrukh; seeing you and seeing you dance has changed my life. Thank you for stopping in front of me on Tuesday, April 3rd.

SRK unveils healthcare journal
By IndiaFM News Bureau, April 9, 2007 - 09:25 IST
Shah Rukh Khan has been chased by the media spotlight endlessly. After thrilling an eager audience at the official unveiling of his wax statue in Madame Tussauds, London, the Bollywood superstar has done it again!
He surprised the guests present at the launch of a healthcare journal called “Health International” on Sunday night. Reportedly, SRK made an unexpected visit at hotel Taj Lands End, Bandra. He then entertained the guests with magic tricks and of course, his clever compering tactics. Heath International is a collective effort of brilliant journalists with the assistance of physical trainers and health experts. The star-studded event saw celebrities like Roop Kumar and Sonali Rathod, Rahul Roy, Prem Chopra, Mohinder Amarnath, Poonam Dhillon and Akbar Khan, who dropped in to convey their regards.
Besides SRK and other Bollywood bigwigs, the royal family of Ajman was also present to grace the occasion – including members of the royalty like Prince Sheikh Majid Bin Sayeed with his father Sheikh Sayeed Bin Rashid Al Nuami.

Big B is proud of SRK?
After months of speculation and the reported cold vibes between Bollywood's two busiest and biggest superstars Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, the ice seems to have melted with the Sr. Bachchan coming out in the open and showering praises on his junior colleague. Amitabh was reacting to the unveiling of SRK's Wax statue at the London's famed Madame Tussauds's museum. "It's great news and Shah Rukh truly deserves it," said Amitabh. Now was the Bachchan just being polite and diplomatic as always?

Snap Happy TimesBy HT
Sunday April 8, 02:47 AM From simple celebrity coverage of the old where senior journalists were friends with stars and suppressed quite a few nasty tidbits about them, we are rapidly moving into paparazzi territory where nothing is sacred or private when it comes to people in the limelight.
The desire to live vicariously, voyeuristically and yes, vapidly - by blocking out more serious, sombre news - is what drives the paparazzi phenomenon the world over. In India, where only a handful of celebrities, evenly divided between cricket and films, actually qualify as genuine A-listers, the hunger for interaction gets sharper and more focused; the questions a little more personal and uncomfortable.
Exclusive GamesPaul Danahar, BBC's South Asia bureau chief, analyses this change. "There was no competition in India ten years ago. Now it is one of the most competitive media markets in the world." The quest for survival in an overcrowded reporter-eat-reporter circuit is why the paparazzi culture is slowly but surely gaining ground in India, according to Danahar. Everything now revolves around getting an "exclusive." Rajdeep Sardesai, managing editor of CNN/IBN, Channel 7 and IBN 7, compares the media to a "carnivorous beast" that wants to feed on all possible events and generate news in any way possible.
"They never refuse to pose. People like Salman Khan and Shah Rukh were humble when they began their careers and they are still humble. It is the new lot that don't know how the system works. When they are just a release or two old, they start giving attitude and don't want to be clicked. They lose out on the visibility the media can give them. And when their careers come to a grinding halt, they want to pose for pictures again. But by that time, it is usually too late."
Shah Rukh Khan, one of the few stars who can inspire fan mobs, is matter-of-fact about this relationship. "When I want to boost my film, I will have three back-to-back press conferences in a day and people will come. It is not a question of using the media - I'm giving them something too. We are all doing what we have to do."
But what happens when the intrusion is not expected or planned for, given that the paparazzi deal in candid snaps. Can celebrities really demand to be left alone when they have chosen to live in the limelight?
According to director and talk show host Karan Johar, there is no such thing as privacy in a celebrity's life. "If you want privacy, you should become a doctor or something." Speaking about the relationship between the media and celebs, he says, "It's like a marriage. You can love them, hate them but you can't do without them. The media is the bridge between a celebrity and the common man. How can we do without it?" But even then he believes there are certain lines that the press should not cross. In his words, "what I do in my bedroom is private."
Point taken.
Going for BrokeBut with the fabulous assets that most stars have at hand, that include beefy bouncers, media managers and friends at high places, it is a little difficult to imagine how a celebrity can be hounded in this country. Especially since most Indian journalists have meagre resources to fall back on.
So in 99 per cent of the cases, what you see in print and on TV has the tacit consent of the stars. You will never have photographers in India getting clear shots of a celeb couple sunbathing on their yacht. The reason? Well, the equipment is too expensive and the payments not so great here.
Most celebrity pictures sell for a measly Rs 100 to Rs 500 a picture. Compare that to a fee of $500,000, the amount reportedly paid for the Brangelina-on-the-beach pictures. In India, for unusually spicy pictures like that of Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha chatting, the price goes up to only Rs 5000. Such rates don't justify shelling out lakhs for the equipment.
Sanjay Nigam of TV Today agrees, stating that there is no danger of the Indian scenario getting as bad as it is in the West, unless the "commerce of it improves." Also publishing unfavourable pictures means a blanket boycott of the photographer or reporter in question by the star. Yogen Shah puts it succinctly. "Why would I want to spoil my relationship with them for such measly amounts. I would rather take their consent while shooting pictures and stay in their good books."
In addition, of course, is the clout of the stars themselves. "You can't demand privacy. But you can create it," says Shah Rukh. "If I don't want a photographer to sit on some lamppost and take pictures of what's happening on my terrace, then I better cover my terrace. When I have a private party in my house, I keep it private. But the press has the right to hang around outside and try and get pictures."
The decision to come out and speak to the press, like he did last year on his fortieth birthday, however cannot be forced on him. But it does go a long way in building goodwill. By honouring some of the basic demands of the press, Khan creates a comfort zone so that requests to not shoot his kids, for example, are honoured.

Shah Rukh - Take Three By Krishna Jewel, AllBollywood.com Staff
April 08, 2007 Shah Rukh Khan is still on a high from the wonderful honour of his duplicate being installed at Madame Tussauds London. Now he his a triplicate!
He has been honoured with a wax replica at Sunil Kandaloor's as well.
While the dream of Shah Rukh's mother to have her son in the famous Madam Tussaud's in London has now been fulfilled, she would have been doubly pleased to know that her son now has a replica on home soil created by Sunil Kandaloor.
Kandaloor has created his own wax replica of the superstar in a theme park called Baywatch in Kanyakumari. However, he has not met SRK to take the intricate messurements that the Tussauds people were privy to...rather the measurements were taken from a life-size poster.
SRK's figure is among 20 statues of prominent Indians like PM Manmohan Singh and superstar Rajanikanth.
Kandaloor claims that he had great fun replicating the 'dimples' of the Bollywood Badshah.
When SRK heard about this new statue, he was thrilled, "Maybe I am doing something right! That's why people give me so much importance," he said.

Bachan on SRK, IIFA & Ash
The Indian International Film Awards head to Yorkshire this year, and brand ambassador for the event Amitabh Bachchan announced the nominations at London's Madame Tussauds -- an interesting choice of venue given Shah Rukh Khan unveiled his waxwork there just a day before.
And with the Big B making an appearance in April, the media couldn't help but ask him about his son Abhishek's impending nuptials with Aishwarya Rai. Bachchan, as always, called the issue a personal affair and something he wouldn't prefer commenting upon.
Spotting Ash and Abhishek in London
The nominations were interesting, since Karan Johar's Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna resulted in both Bachchan Sr and Jr nominated for a Best Supporting actor award. The awards will be handed out at Sheffield's Hallam FM Arena on June 9.
Brushing aside the rumours of SRK rivalry, Bachchan smiled and said he was happy that King Khan too has found his place at the world-renowned wax museum. He said that it was a joyous occasion for the Indian film industry and the country as such. Bachchan, of course, was the first Indian actor to be honoured by Madame Tussauds.
Now in its 8th year, IIFA plans to go green. The target is to lower the emission of carbon dioxide, from all quarters. With support from international celebrities like Sienna Miller and TV networks like MTV, it's bound to gain momentum. Closer home, John Abraham, Lara Dutta and the entire Bachchan clan -- including daughter-in-law to be, Aishwarya Rai -- have vouched their support for the campaign.
Bachchan also stressed that IIFA till date haven't found their footing in North and South America. He mentioned that there was a proposal from New York City, but in the final vote count Yorkshire beat out the Big Apple.

Everybody loves ShahRukh Khan
By Vimla Patil
8 April 2007 (Sawf News) - ShahRukh Khan (SRK) is honored with a desi wax replica at Sunil Kandaloor's!
ShahRukh Khan's mother had hoped one day her son's wax replica would be placed at Madam Tussaud's in London and that dream has been fulfilled.
However, SRK's fans love him too and one of them, Sunil Kandaloor, almost with the same passion as SRK's mother.
Kandaloor has created his own wax replica of the superstar in a theme park called Baywatch in Kanyakumari. He has not met SRK and says the measurements were taken from a life-size poster!
SRK's figure here is among 20 statues of prominent Indians like PM Manmohan Singh and superstar Rajanikanth.
Kandaloor claims that he had great fun replicating the 'dimples' of the Bollywood Badshah!
When SRK heard about this new statue, he was thrilled! "Maybe I am doing something right! That's why people give me so much importance," he said.

What’s Myanmar’s capital? Naypyidaw TIMES NEWS NETWORK[ SATURDAY, APRIL 14, 2007 03:26:20 AM] If you’re one of the fortunate few to add a few lakhs to your income while presumably being watched on prime time TV by millions of strangers, do not relax if Shahrukh asks you on KBC-3 to name the capital of Burma as Myanmar used to be known.
Do not fall for an audience poll or ring up a friend who pretends to be surprised that he’s talking to the Badshah of Bollywood and then tells you in three of the stipulated 30 seconds that the capital of Myanmar is Rangoon as Yangon used to be known.
The correct answer is Naypyidaw which does not mean “I do not know” but is Burmese for “Royal Palace/City” or “Abode of Kings”. The military regime which rules Burma announced the new capital’s official name on Armed Forces Day in March 2006.
While opposition groups maintain that the rationale for shifting to the centrally-located Naypyidaw is the apprehension of a seaborne-invasion by a US-led coalition force, the official explanation is that Yangon has become too congested for any further expansion, adds Wikipedia.
To date, however, most of the KBC-3 queries — even the ones which add lakhs to the income — are not of the Naypyidaw kind. Especially simple are the questions which enable one of the ten participants on each programme to qualify for the hot seat.
The night of Wednesday, March 11, saw a young guy being faster than seven other gentlemen and two ladies when it came to arranging the four stages in a woman’s life in their chronological order — daughter, wife, mother, mother-in-law! The qualifier also quipped that if he won Rs 2 crore, he would like to go to Swaziland and become the king.
While Shahrukh wondered why, while making it abundantly clear that the contestant’s declared ambition was not meant to be taken seriously by any of the viewers in Swaziland, Wikipedia tells us that the reigning monarch King Mswati III has 12 wives and two fiancees, some of them chosen at the annual Umhlanga or Reed Dance where topless maidens perform.

Bidding adieu to KBCMonika RawalThe biggest game show in the history of Indian television – ‘ Kaun Banega Crorepati ’- is once again going off air. It’s neither an April fool prank nor a rumour doing the rounds - the news is confirmed and official.
The last episode of the show would be aired on April 19, and this will bring the third season of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) to an end. This might come as a shock for SRK fans and for the rest of the game show buffs, who will have to now re-schedule their prime time slot of 9 pm that was so far occupied by KBC.
But why is the show being taken off air again? Is it because King Khan failed to hold the audience the way Big B did? Or is it the rumors of TRP ratings taking a nose dive? Neither, actually. Contrary to belief, most of the audience has indeed liked SRK as a host and the rest were gradually coming under his spell.
And as far as TRP ratings are concerned, Harsh Rohtagi, GM, marketing and content, Star India says, “We are getting happy TRP ratings from 6 to 8. Comparing the present with the previous season, a two-fold difference has been noticed.”
So will this sudden news of the show being put off the air come as a disappointment for millions of viewers who dream of being in the hot seat some day? Read on!
Star TV’s contract with production house Celador allows it to have a season of only 52 episodes, despite the fact that the channel has telecast rights for KBC for next five years. According to Rohtagi, , “The show was already planned to run for the subsequent season and thus this 13-week activity has come to an end - with 52 episodes for each season.”
“We would tentatively resume in January or February next year but this might go up or down by some weeks. When the show comes back after a gap, it would have some new and exciting changes and that’s the key to hold on to the viewers,” shares Rohtagi.
The channel may have reason to be concerned about viewer-ship – if the beginnings of this season are anything to go by. The initial days of KBC’s third season were dominated by endless comparisons between SRK and Big B; however, King Khan successfully put his best foot forward, added some pizzazz to the show and made it look different.
The following period also witnessed several controversies ranging from the channel’s falling TRPs to SRK’s failure to meet viewers’ expectation. Despite his growing popularity on the show, the audience did take a long time to get accustomed to and accept the new host.
Was the King Khan’s comeback on small screen after a 20-year gap destined to be short-termed? Not really! Bollywood’s King Khan will continue to host the show in its next season as well. But this would be a long wait for KBC viewers and SRK fans because the show plans to hit the small screen again sometime next year.
However, this puts a question mark on the channel’s policy on a year-long hiatus before starting the next season. With such a long gap between two seasons, won’t the channel need to put in more efforts to jog the viewers’ fading memories?
“Most of the shows follow 13 weeks or 26 weeks format and a six to eight month break is needed between two respective seasons,” explains Rohtagi.
He further says: “A set season ensures a set viewer-ship for any show and most of the format shows operate in seasons only. This concept might sound new but it is being followed across the globe for shows like ‘American Idol’ and ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire.”
Or is it that such a break will give the channel some time to negotiate with advertisers and convince them to shell out more money for the show again? Or maybe because format shows tend to become boring after some time and the audience needs a reasonable break to come back to it again.
Whatever the reason, it’s time for all KBC buffs and SRK fans to bid farewell to their favourite show ... for a while anyway.

Virile. Vulnerable. And so wicked. Shah Rukh Khan banters around with SUBHADRA DEVAN."I GET up in the morning, give one shot, one look, and do one fighting jump, and I am happy with that." The quote about a mundane morning comes in a smooth baritone from the figure, whose torso is cut like a diamond in a black Armani suit.
Bollywood's leading man Shah Rukh Khan (picture) gracefully slips into a warm brown fabric armchair, which matches the colour of his eyes, on the Tag Heuer stage at the Olive Restaurant of Hotel Genting to give mortal Malaysians some insights from the Don himself.
Against his smooth teh si-colour skin, the crisp white black-polka-dotted shirt glows. His polished black shoes sparkle. There is a whiff of a spicy, woody scent.
It is the morning of the Sunday of the Zee Cine TV awards and Shah Rukh is up, for the umpteenth time, for India's Best Actor award in a show televised live from Malaysia to an audience of millions the world over.
He sits on the edge of the chair, smoking a Wills Classic cigarette, giving rapid-fire answers to a myriad of questions. Even if he wants to talk about his morning routine in the bathroom, you listen and take notes.
Shah Rukh speaks with some self-deprecation about awards, films and life.
"Acting is like writing a poem or painting a picture. You don't stop just because you've made Mona Lisa...
"And you don't know if you've made a Mona Lisa. You cannot gauge, give paradigms or give marks to your own work.
"You cannot say, oh I've done the greatest film in the world. The world has to say that and after the world says that, many a time you don't know (if) it's your greatest film.
"It's a misnomer (this best actor award), that the world can turn around and say lovely shot... and I don't think so.
"I'm like, maybe I can do something different. Not better but different."
With more than 50 films under his neat black belt, Shah Rukh goes on to say that "you don't always have a sense of achievement" and that's why the award is called the actor of the year.
The affable guy thinks he has done well in the career he chose. "I am just a hardworking actor who's having a good run.
"I don't like this term 'best'. I think it's not good. If a girl is acting well, or a guy is doing well, then I wish them the best. I say, don't work too hard.
"I don't get too deep into what others are doing... I'm too involved in my own life. I'm a little selfish when it comes to work. I just do my thing."
When asked about his smoking despite reports that he was India's anti-smoking hero, he shot back:
"People will write all kinds of stuff. You know, you're a journalist. A lot of stuff is written and this is one of those items. I never gave it up."
The self-confessed workaholic feels that one should always keep working. As an actor, "you should always be coming up with something to surprise your times".
"Many a time, people may have given up on an actor (but) after his new film (they say), that wasn't bad."
He seems rugged enough to be at home with the lyrical impulses of the soul. Shah Rukh has acted as villain (as in Darr), romantic hero Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayengein and romantic comedian (Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Baadshah). And he has won accolades for all three types of acting.
Bad, good or funny, Shah Rukh Khan - whose name is rarely divided into three parts when spoken - is a household name to billions around the world.
But, "there are no roles in Hollywood for me. I think I'm not good enough for Hollywood," he says.
With one eyebrow cocked, Shah Rukh explains: "If I were to do a film in Hollywood, then it has to be about a 40-year-old who is brown, who's short, has lots of hair and is an Indian."
He adds that "it's not up to him to decide if he wants to work in Tinseltown".
"And I'm too old to restart a career somewhere new. I am too well enconsced where I am to move. And nobody from there has ever called me.
"I can't just turn up there (in Los Angeles) and say I want to act in one your films. Aishwarya, and others, yeah, they are wanted. And in my age group, Hollywood has many actors, so I don't think they need me but I've never been offered so I've never thought of it really."
You wonder if he has thought of expanding his celluloid resume with art movies.
"Well, I've done Paheli (his own production company's 2005 film and nominated for an Oscar).
"I was told to do Water (Deepa Mehta's film on widowhood) but I had no time.
"I really have no demarcation between art and commercial. But it needs to be offered, you see, I can't write it myself.
"Now, I will be doing one film a year on women-oriented issues because I like women, so I'll do a film which says things about such issues without being in your face.
"This year, I am doing a film about women and field hockey, Chak De India. It is about the Indian women's hockey team coming to the World Cup in Australia. The problems they face with regards to freedom of choice in their field.
"So I'll do that (one women's social commentary film) but yeah, Water could have been a good women-oriented film, yes."
As Shah Rukh says this, he is bouncing lightly on the balls of his feet, his muscles taut against the fabric of the trousers.
So how does this I-have-no-time-to-waste guy keep fit?
"I don't know. I have bad habits - I eat very little, don't exercise regularly.
"I lead a simple way of life, so I eat very simply. That sort of helps."
Almost Zeus-like he maybe to Hindi movie-goers, but when seated not three feet away, there is a sense of vulnerability about Shah Rukh. In the Nasreen Munni Kabir documentry, The Inner and Outer World of Shah Rukh Khan, he spoke about losing his parents when he was in his teens.
In this interview, he mentions his wife and children a number of times and said he will spend the next two months just with his family.
"I want to take my son especially to see the World Cup but to travel so far just for a few days is difficult, and to take small children..."
Adding to that sense of loss is the fact that at 42, Shah Rukh has had two spinal surgeries and one knee surgery.
"I do pull-ups for my arms and other exercises to strengthen my back. If I don't exercise, do weight training, the back - mainly the left side - starts packing up.
"I get bored with physiotheraphy, ayurvedia and yoga. They are good but I'm too impatient with all that.
"I will be taking two months off work, next month, to sort off rehabilitate. I don't carry heavy weights anymore."
He hopes he doesn't have to do anymore surgeries adding that the stunts are easier to do these days "because we have wire work". "Earlier you just jump. So that does help and I've grown older."
When asked about any rivalry for the king of Bollywood title, Shah Rukh replies with a smile: "I have no sense of competition.
"Lots of people ask me if I am competing with anyone. I'm not. I don't need to. I have my own space because I have been working a long time.
"And mine is a wonderful space to be in."

Hey ma! Dharmendra and Hema Malini will not dance together, certainly not with Bobby Deol in tow Mumbai Mirror Bureau
Hema Malini with Dharmendra
It's a gathering second only to a marriage out there at Film City today. An entire line-up of stars are there, all of them dancing for Farah Khan's Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Om Shanti Om. Today Farah will be teaching the turns to Rekha, Sanjay Dutt, Saif Ali Khan, Dharmendra, Bobby Deol — all at one go.
Of course, Farah would have liked Hema Malini to be there too in the vintage line-up, especially since was an important part of the original 'John Johnny Janardan' in Naseeb, the song from which hers is inspired. But that was not to be. With Dharmendra and Hema Malini having decided not to work with each other, Farah was, most probably, forced to choose between the two. And with Bobby Deol shaking a leg for the same song too, it would have got rather awkward to have Dharmendra, Bobby and Hema doing the twists and turns together like one big happy family.
Bobby Deol
In fact, unit insiders have been heard saying that there was a request to Farah to not attempt the bringing together of the three. As for Farah, no doubt she wants to shoot in a pleasant rather than a charged atmosphere. So, Dharmendra and Bobby, it will be. Period.
Incidentally, the other star of Naseeb, Amitabh Bachchan is also not participating in the Shah Rukh Khan-led mega-song. He has begged off, citing date problems… Farah did try to contact Aamir Khan too, to add to the line-up. But Aamir was 'not reachable'.

'I am already planning a new film with Pakistani and Indian actors together. It is a sentimental film about relationship between India and Pakistan" - Jawed Sheikh By IndiaFM News Bureau, April 14, 2007 - 02:50 IST
He is the Amitabh Bachchan of Pakistani cinema. Four films old in Hindi cinema and Jawed Sheikh is already getting noticed for his character roles in Bollywood as well. The recent one being in Namastey London where he played Upen Patel's father. “At my age I am playing character roles. So of course I relate to it and I am thoroughly enjoying it”, replies the soft-spoken superstar of the neighbouring country.
His next film happens to be Apne which gets the entire Deol clan together. “For a change I am not playing anybody's father in this film. I play a media mogul based in Canada who is a friend of Dharamji. I have a very good character in this film. I thoroughly enjoyed working with the Deol family. They are very professional and humble humans”, says Jawed.
But Jawed sounds really excited about getting to work with two films under Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies banner. “Farah had choreographed a song in Jaaneman, that's where she saw me and liked my work. She also told me that we might work together. And because of Farah Khan I got Red Chillies first film My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves. Director E Niwas was discussing about this character with the writers and Farahji told the whole team that they should take Jawed Shiekh for the role. I play a police inspector called Khan.
It's a different role for me and I am enjoying it. The film stars a new boy Nikhil Dwivedi with Amrita Rao and Anupam Kher.”
With the second Red Chillies film Om Shanti Om he gets to share screen space with Shah Rukh. “In the first half of the film I am playing a superstar of 1978; someone like Rajesh Khanna from that era. Shah Rukh plays a struggling actor in the film. Post-interval after his rebirth he becomes my son. That is the present day which opens in 2007. I am thankful to Farah Khan and Shah Rukh Khan who gave me the opportunity to work in their film. I am so proud that I am doing a film like Om Shanti Om. The whole team is marvelous.”
However Jawed's Bollywood connection goes two decades back. “It started from 1986 when I had got an offer to do Khoon Bhari Maang with Rekhaji and Sonu Walia. I was signed for that film. Before the mahurat something happened in my family and I could not do that film. Kabir Bedi was roped in for the role later. Exactly after 20 years later I came here to record music for my film Yeh Dil Aap Ka Hua. At that time Mr John Mathew Mathan saw me on NDTV and he approached me and offered me a role in his film Shikhar. That was a turning point for me to come back to Bollywood. After Shikhar, I did Jaaneman and Namestey London. Now there are a couple of more in the line.”
I have made my own film in India as a producer, director and actor called Khule Aasman Ke Niche. I shot that film in Bombay for forty days last December. So now that he is doing a lot of films in India, is he cutting down on Pakistani cinema? Jawed explains, “Apart from acting in a lot of Hindi cinema I have made my own film in India as a producer, director and actor called Khule Aasman Ke Niche. I shot that film in Bombay for forty days last December.
Also I recorded all my music here. Ganesh Acharya is my choreographer for the film. I am doing all my post-production work here. I have got all Indian singers in the film. And this would be the first Pakistani film releasing in India simultaneously with a worldwide release. That's the reason why I have to be here for sometime and cut down on projects there.”
Indian cinema is far superior to Pakistani cinema. And I don't hitch to say that. Ask him if working for Indian cinema is any different as compared to Pakistani cinema and Jawed doesn't get diplomatic with his reply “Oh yes. There is a lot of difference. Indian cinema is too good compared to Pakistani cinema.
And I don't hitch to say that. Indian cinema is far superior to Pakistani cinema. I am learning different techniques here and that is why even I am doing my film here. That was the reason I brought my unit from Pakistan to India and the Indian and Pakistani crew worked together for forty days without any accidents. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. My crew learnt a lot from the Indian crew. I am already planning a new film with Pakistani and Indian actors together. It is a sentimental film about relationship between India and Pakistan. I have already registered a title for it called Dil Toh Ek Hai. And I am also trying to release a few of my Pakistani films in India”.
Has he gained more recognition after working in Hindi films? “Yes, of course. Definitely I have gained a lot of recognition. Hindi cinema has made me a globally known face”, Jawed replies honestly.
Which Pakistani films has he worked in recently? “There is this film called Ek Din Laut Ke Aaonga that is releasing on 27th April. It stars Indian television actress Nausheen Ali Sardar with Pakistani actor Humayun Saeed. The film was shot in Hyderabad in Ramoji Film City and also in Bombay. The entire film was made in India. People in Pakistan have seen the trailer and they like it. There is another film called Lahore produced by a new producer Sunil Sharma and directed by Sanjay, they are planning to shoot in Pakistan also. There are one or two more projects but aren't finalized as yet. There are plenty more producers, directors who are ready to come to Bombay. Couple of them are already here and planning their film.”
There is one company from Pakistan who has signed a MOU with Yash Raj. Yashraj will be releasing their film in Pakistan and Pakistani films will be released here through them. Finally what does he feel about the ban on screening of Indian films in Pakistan? Jawed expresses his disappointment saying, “I don't really understand the ban there. But three Indian films were released in Pakistan recently - Bride and Prejudice, Taj Mahal, Mughal-e-azam. Before this there were two films Noor Jahan and Kashish. And I have heard that there are plenty more to be released like Kaafila to be directed by Amtojie Mann starring Sunny Deol and Sana from Pakistan. Sana is the heroine in my film Khule Aasman Ke Niche too. There is one company from Pakistan who has signed a MOU with Yash Raj. Yashraj will be releasing their film in Pakistan and Pakistani films will be released here through them.”

Salman ‘chick’mates Saif
Salman Khan plays Cupid and tries to set up Saif Ali Khan with PYTs on a night out while SRK, Gauri Khan and Karan Johar look on!
RUBINA A KHAN Times News Network
It was just another Friday night at a Bandra restaurant ‘cept for the star studded table occupied by Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan, Karan Johar, Salman Khan, wearing blue jeans and a black teeshirt which screamed ‘You Make Me Big!’ and Saif Ali Khan of the broken (his spilt with Rosa) and now mended
(recovered from an alleged heart attack) heart, enjoying a leisurely dinner.
But naturally, diners around the table couldn’t help but steal furtive glances at the haute ‘n’ happening famous (and how!) five on the table, including three 20-something girls dining at an adjacent table. The girls would have never imagined what happened next in their wildest dreams and we don’t blame them either!
Suddenly Salman got up and went across to the three who were trying very hard to concentrate on their dinner, and not the men, and said, “Hi, I am Salman Khan. I have a very good looking friend here who is single and I’d like you to meet him. Would you like to?” And before the girls could get a word in, Salman called out to Saif, who was on the phone. Saif looked up, clueless, hung up the phone and walked across. Salman then introduced Saif to the girls, much to their delight and the actor’s shock. The conversation revolved around what the girls did and they in turn told him how they liked his performance in Omkara and how good he looked in his ad campaigns, even as Shah Rukh, Gauri and Karan watched from their table, visibly amused. Then, camera phones were fished out for photos, though no exchange of telephone numbers. Whoever said Friday the 13th was an unlucky date obviously hadn’t met the charming, not to mention handsome, Khans! Ask the girls! They sure got lucky, almost...!

Aaja nach le
And That Is How You Do The Bihu Boogie: Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan KBC 3’s grand finale on Thursday will have not one, but two, celebrity pairs: Kareena Kapoor-Priyanka Chopra and Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif.
Needless to say, this episode will be a two-hour special (what with all the stars needing enough space to showcase their charitable deeds and their sense of humour, no?).
And since all grand finales go out with a bang, we’re learnt that Salman and Shah Rukh will be doing the jiggy thing on the song Bhangra paale from their 1995 hit film, Karan Arjun! But the fun doesn’t stop there.
Apparently, SRK dares Sallu to do the ‘Bihu dance’ on that song — an Assamese dance form that participant Mridul Gogoi taught him earlier — leaving the audience and a somewhat stunned Katrina amused and impressed.
Now this we’ve got to watch!

KBC script writers head to Bollywood!
R D Tailang, who has been with the show since its very beginning, says it has completely changed his life. "To be honest professionally it has made a lot of difference. After KBC 2 I developed a name in the industry. My pay packet became five times bigger. I got a house, a car. And today I write for some of the best shows on television."

Manoj Muntashir speaks of similar good fortune. "I joined the show in the second season. And after that there has been no looking back for me. I've got such a huge list of people wanting to me to write shows and it's reached a point where, I'm ashamed to admit it but I actually have to turn down shows because I don't have the time. If I'm honest my charges first got doubled and tripled now."
Muntashir says thanks to his success on the show he is finally attaining his life long dream of writing for movies. "If I'm completely honest I think all of us in television want to reach the big screen. I always wanted to write for movies. My first movie Dus Kahaaniyan is coming out soon. It's by Sanjay Gupta and stars Sanjay Dutt amongst others. I have written four songs in the movie. The songs are sung by Sunidhi Chauhan, Shibani Kashyap and Sonu Niigam and the music by Bappi Lahiri and his son, Bappa. What else can someone ask for in their first movie?"
Both stars are elated with the fact that SRK has promised work with them in his next movie. "During KBC 3, Shah Rukh said he would get in touch in May with me for his movie. I am also working on Sanjay Gupta's next which stars Dia Mirza and Sanjay Dutt," says an elated Manoj.
"We all developed a great rapport with Shah Rukh. We are around the same age so it was like working with a friend. He is also very friendly. In fact there is no star barrier with him and towards the end of the shoot he himself mentioned that he would like me to work on the script of his next movie. In addition tot hat I'm also in the midst of discussing my scripts with some big producers," adds Tailang.
Manoj on working with Big B and SRKWorking with Shah Rukh was very different compared to Bachchanji. With Mr. Bachchan all we did was read out the script, he gave his comments and we left. With SRK it was completely different. We were much more at ease. We would discuss the script but he was very involved as well. We became so friendly that I could actually comment on his clothes and tell him 'I don't think this suit looks good on you!' which I couldn't ever think of doing with Mr. Bachchan.
RD on working with Big B and SRKWith Mr. Bachchan his aura is so much that you can't help but feel small before him. Even if he stands next to you, you still feel like an ant with him. I used to get scared to take my script to him. More than writing it was difficult to read it. But it was a great experience nonetheless. With SRK it was a complete turn around. The way we spoke to each other, interacted was very different as compared to Bachchanji.

But not just like that! The Badshah of Bollywood in his trademark style is all set to entertain viewers with an exciting, one of a kind, fun-filled episode of KBC. After the movie Don, this is SRK's first tryst with Kareena and Priyanka together. Priyanka Chopra on her experience in KBC said, "KBC was a fantastic experience and I enjoyed myself to the hilt. Sitting across Shahrukh can be quite nerve wrecking, but he completely put me at ease. In fact he was completely driven up the wall because Kareena and I would keep debating which answer to opt for and always came up with different options. The fun was complete with Salman and Katrina on the show, where all of us did the last segment together."

SRK's friends pitch in for finale
It's finally coming to an end. It might have seemed like just yesterday that Shah Rukh Khan started his Kaun Banega Crorepati, but Khan's been having guests in the hot seat for almost 3 months now, and on Thursday, April 19, the show comes to a close.
Here's a sneak peek at the final episode, featuring Shah Rukh and his superstar buddies.
Don stars Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra aren't the only ones featuring in this special episode, Khan also joined by superstar Salman Khan and girlfriend Katrina Kaif. As is imaginable, Sallu has the audience in splits with his typically riotous brand of humour.
It's an interesting group of stars, sure, but coming as it is this week, we can't help but smile. It seems like the gang not invited to the big Abhi-Ash wedding on Friday decided to hang out together.
"KBC was a fantastic experience and I enjoyed myself to the hilt. Sitting across Shah Rukh can be quite nerveracking, but he completely put me at ease," assures Priyanka.
"In fact he was completely driven up the wall because Kareena and myself would keep debating which answer to opt for and always came up with different options. The fun was complete with Salman and Katrina on the show, where all of us did the last segment together."
And while the celebs aim at grabbing crores for specific charities, SRK plans to make it a best-of situation, handing out the 'Khamakhan Awards,' recognising the show's biggest highlights.
With categories like 'Khan Ki Khoj' looking at SRK's twists to the format and 'Khullam Khulla Pyaar Karenge' focussing on Khan's flirtations with the female contestants, this should be quite a watch.
This Kaun Banega Crorepati special episode will be telecast at 9 pm on Star Plus, Thursday, April 19.

OM SHANTI OM to have seven songs!By Abid, Bollywodd Trade News Network Choreographer Farah Khan's first project as a director, MAIN HOON NA, released in 2004 and not only was it a big commercial success, the music of the Shah Rukh-Sushmita starrer is popular even today. In fact it remains Anu Malik's last big commercial success. However, for her second project OM SHANTI OM, Farah Khan has gone in for Vishal-Shekhar.
The movie that boasts of special appearances from almost the entire industry is keenly awaited and there is a lot of curiosity about the musical score of the Shah Rukh Khan, Shreyas Talpade and debutante Deepika Padukone starrer.
The only significant thing known about the musical score is that apart from Vishal-Shekhar, Pyarelal (of the legendary Laxmi-Pyare 'jodi') has composed one of the songs of OM SHANTI OM. But we can tell you that there are going to be a total of seven songs in the album, and Vishal-Shekhar duo has already recorded five of them. The music of the movie, based mainly in the psychedelic 70s, is expected to have a scent of that era.

One two ka four!
For That Starry Hair: Aalim Hakim Recently, Sanjay Dutt, Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Dharmendra, among several other B-Town stars, shot for a song sequence in Farah Khan’s upcoming film Om Shanti Om.
But it wasn’t just Farah who was as busy as a bee on the sets.
Also running from pillar to post was hairstylist Aalim Hakim.
Since he’s the stylist of choice for most of B-Town’s macho brigade, Aalim was constantly running around attending to his bevy of stars.
Needless to say, the stylist had a hard day’s work with his four macho clients insisting that Aalim himself do their hair.
In the end, we won’t be surprised to hear that Aalim himself suffered a ‘bad hair day’ that day!

Pest side story
Dunno what’s wrong with my dhobhi.. Safedi Lal was never the health conscious sort, so I was surprised when he told me that he’s been going to Bandra Bandstand for an hour of brisk walking to keep fit. He can walk to Timbuctu for all I care.. as long as he gets me some sosha bosha when he comes with kapda shapdas..
Safedi says that while he was jogging outside Shah Rukh Khan’s bungalow, Mannat,he heard some strange sounds coming from behind the gates.. it was also accompanied by puffs of some smoke.. and he thought SRK was smoking a ciggy or something.
Turns out that the construction of the six-storey building behind Mannat is complete.. and that’s why my sweetyboo SRK had called for pest control to be carried out.. before the interiors can be designed according to the needs of the Khan-daan.
Safedi says the plans of the interiors are such that they foil all the attempts of peeping Toms to catch a glimpse..not fair..so many of your fans will be disappointed.. but never mind, I guess, I’ll keep filling them in. And yaa, what’ll happen to my Uncle Subhash the Ghaiji?.. isn’t he always trying to get SRK to do a movie again with him.. in vain.

SRK's Mannat in the news… Again!Looks like there is no respite for SRK with respect to his house – Mannat at Bandstand in suburban Mumbai. The sprawling property is once again in the news for all the wrong reasons – this time thanks to a graffito sprayed onto Shah Rukh's house and his neighbours.
Of late graffito has become a menacing problem in suburban Mumbai especially in the areas of Lokhandwala and Bandra. And last weekend these graffiti artists decided to turn their attention to SRK's 26,400 sq. ft house by spraying 'SRK GAY' on the bungalow wall.
This comes just a few weeks after the Bombay High Court had asked SRK to submit documents regarding the ownership of the bungalow as well as the construction he has undertaken on the plot adjacent to Mannat. This decision came following a petition filed by the NGO Bhrashtachar Nirmulan Sanghatana which states that the construction done by Shah Rukh obstructs another road. There is also an alleged allegation that the property where this construction has taken place was actually a property actually meant for an art gallery.
But what seems quite surprising is the fact that although Shah Rukh is provided with 24-hour police security of which a couple of guards travel with him while the rest are stationed out side Mannat.
So what we want to know is where was all the security when these graffiti artists were making merry with SRK's property?

Shooting stars is such a party! By: Upala KBR
April 17, 2007 Farah Khan spent seven long days shooting for the title track of Om Shanti Om, featuring 30 A-list celebs
Farah Khan’s lavish mega-star song for Om Shanti Om, shot over seven long days, is finally being finished today. The last shot is being canned with Preity Zinta, and features 29 other actors (excluding Shah Rukh Khan)!
My song starriest!
I Can Count On Him: Farah Khan and Shah Rukh Khan Talking about the song, Farah says, “It’s the title track of Om Shanti Om.
It involves a scene where superstar Om Kapoor (SRK) has won an award and throws a party attended by many members of the film industry.
OSO is based on the film industry and spans two eras.
For the first time ever, Shah Rukh, Saif (Ali Khan), Salman (Khan) and Sanjay (Dutt) will be seen together on screen.
We made them get up on a bar, take off their jackets and dance and all of them look like rockstars!”
Talking about the lavish scale of the song, Farah says, “As a child, I loved the song John Johny Janardhan from Naseeb and always wanted to do something like that in my film.
It had many big stars of that time featuring in it, so I wanted to top that song. A month ago, Shah Rukh and I started approaching stars and they were so sweet. We personally met each one of them and they immediately agreed.
Jeetuji told us to give him just one hour’s notice, while Mithun flew in just a day before the shoot from Hyderabad. If some stars couldn’t do the shoot, it was either because they were out of the country or didn’t have dates.”
Garam over Dharam Even though Saif, Salman and Sanjay Dutt had packed up for the day, they waited for Dharmendra to arrive on the set and shoot his act. When he did, the three boys too leapt into the frame and started dancing too!
Tushki gets shyThis is the first time Jeetendra and his son Tusshar are coming together on screen. So when Tusshar came on the sets, he told Farah that he was shy of dancing in front of his father, who is such a good dancer!
Sunil Shetty too was frazzled when he heard he was dancing after Govinda. How was he going to top such a feisty act?
But the girls were better behaved. After Tabu and Urmila’s act got over, they stayed back to cheer Lolo as she was dancing again after a really long time.
The only star who insisted on rehearsals, was Rekha. The rest came and practised on the sets.
Ajay Devgan was invited by SRK (through wife Kajol) but he didn’t come.
The excuse? He was in Delhi shooting for Sunday (even though he was in town).
Amitabh Bachchan sent his regrets as he is tied up with Abhishek and Ash’s wedding.
Fardeen Khan too was supposed to put in an appearance but couldn’t as his flight from Dubai was delayed. Gifts to go!Each star was gifted an expensive Tag Heuer watch, a Nokia mobile phone, a gold coin with Om inscribed on it, and a personalised T-shirt with “OSO – You Made It Big” written on it.

SRK, Hrithik and Zayed = A burning dance floor! Print Edition of TOIChildhood sweethearts Sanjay and Zarine Khan hosted their wedding anniversary (ain’t gonna tell you the years!) bash at their Juhu home on Monday night. It was undeniably THE place to be, given the galaxy of friends and stars that attended the do to congratulate the couple on their special day. Sanjay and Zarine’s eternal romance gives the term fairy tale endings a whole new meaning — it makes one think that this is a fairy tale beginning of the next phase of their lives. Their kids — Simone Arora, Farah Khan-Ali, Sussanne Roshan and Zayed Khan along with wife Malaika made sure every guest was well taken care of in the quintessential ‘Khan’tastic style that they are known for. Sheikh Rashid Al Nahyan, of the Abu Dhabi royalty, had a great time and said, “This is the best party I have ever been to!” Rakesh and Pinky Roshan, Sheetal Mafatlal, Saif Ali Khan, Suniel and Mana Shetty, Ali Morani, Dia Mirza, Amrita Arora, Celina Jaitley, Kaajal Anand, Neelam, Anna and Jaiveer Singh, Sunny and Anu Dewan, David Dhawan, Vashu Bhagnani, Chunky and Bhavna Pandey, Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor, Christine Parekh, Komal and Rajiv Wazir, Ajay Arora —the list is endless — were seen having a great time at the do.
HERE’S THE PARTY TONIGHT! Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Zayed burnt the dance floor down with their mean, dance moves, and matching them groove to groove were their better halves Gauri Khan, Sussanne and Malaika. But Karan Johar’s imitation of Hrithik’s Dhoom 2 dances were the best ever! Zayed and Zarine’s dance on Dus Bahane was adorable.

SRK’s bookish pride
We’re told that Shah Rukh Khan and the KBC 3 team had a wrap-up party on the sets on the day the last episode was shot.
Interestingly, the guests of the finale episode, Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra-Kareena Kapoor, also stayed back to join the party.
A source informs that apart from cutting cake and popping the bubbly, SRK also gifted books to each and every member of the team.
“Shah Rukh has worked very closely with the Synergy team and grown very fond of them, so on the last day he gifted every member of the team a different book.
He actually took the effort to find out who likes what before selecting the books for them,” says the source.

Sallu takes a break Another interesting tidbit about the grand finale episode is the break links. Apparently, SRK asked each of his special guests to deliver a line before going into the break (during the show) in a different style.
So while PC ‘took a break’ Meena Kumari style, Salman surprised SRK by doing an imitation of the Big B.
A source reveals, “Salman’s style of going into the break was the cutest and had the entire audience in splits.
He first mimicked Mr Bachchan’s style of going into a break, and then did it the way Shah Rukh does it on the show. It was really funny!”
We’re also told that Salman didn’t miss a single chance to pull Katrina’s leg throughout the shoot.
“He kept telling Shah Rukh to ask Katrina questions strictly in Hindi, since that is her favourite language!”
Priyanka sings Bebo’s tunesWe all know that PC and Bebo share extremely thanda vibes (and Kareena had admitted as much on Koffee with Karan), but there’s no doubt now that these two girls are really good actresses.
Apparently, they became the best of friends on the finale show. They also feigned stunned expressions on discovering that they’d come on the show wearing black outfits.
“It was a coincidence that they were wearing the same colour. However, between the two of them, Kareena seemed more serious and focussed on answering the questions,” says the khabru.
Interestingly, Priyanka stunned SRK and the audience by singing a few lines of Yeh Mera Dil from Don. “Shah Rukh was really impressed with her rendition. He didn’t know PC could sing so well!”

The octogenarian neither understands nor speaks Hindi. Yet she has lost count of the films she has seen featuring SRK. “My favourites are Dil Se and Baazigar,” she says.
King Khan’s popularity has breached the near-impregnable Himalayan wall, travelling to the barren, rolling mountains of Tibet.
Khan is almost omnipresent in the Tibet Autonomous Region’s capital city. Shops selling motley household items peddle pirated CDs/DVDs of his films, his songs are the ringtones of every third cellphone, and his posters adorn almost every hair-cutting salon.
Tibetans say the Kaun Banega Crorepati host is the most popular person in Tibet after the revered Dalai Lama.
“Not many people know of Amitabh Bachchan here. Shah Rukh is our hero,” says Jiang Wu, an employee of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Lhasa. Born to a Han Chinese father and a Tibetan mother, Jiang has at least half-a-dozen popular numbers of SRK in her mobile phone as ringtones.
“When do you think Shah Rukh will visit Tibet?” asks Tashi Takhla, a curio shop owner. Is King Khan listening?

As the third season of the popular game show Kaun Banega Crorepati comes to an end tonight, joining Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan in bidding adieu to the TV viewers will be a galaxy of stars from the tinsel town.
The grand finale episode of KBC will see the leading glamorous ladies of the silver screen Kareena Kapoor with Priyanka Chopra and one of the hottest pair of tinsel town, Salman Khan with Katrina Kaif come together on the KBC hot seat.
Kareena's appearance on the KBC along with Priyanka, Salman and Katrina will be the first time ever that these Bollywood heartthrobs are coming together on a game show.
It will be SRK's first tryst with Kareena and Priyanka after Don .
Sources in Star Plus said that what contributes to the 'fun filled atmosphere on the final episode of the KBC is the wit and whacky humour displayed by Salman.
“Salman will leave the audiences rolling in splits of laughter with his wit and wacky humour. The episode also has Priyanka exercising her vocal chords and belting out melodies that will leave audiences speechless,” the sources said.
Talking about her experience on the show, Priyanka said, “KBC was a fantastic experience and I enjoyed myself to the hilt. Sitting across Shahrukh can be quite nerve wrecking, but he completely put me at ease.
“In fact he was completely driven up the wall because Kareena and myself would keep debating which answer to opt for and always came up with different options. The fun was complete with Salman and Katrina on the show, where all of us did the last segment together,” she said.
The ravishing Kareena will donate her prize money to St. Anthony's old age home and mount Mary's Bandra, and Priyanka will contribute her prize money to Nari and the Utkal Bipanaa Sahayata Samiti while Katrina will donate her prize-money to the Kovalam Charitable Trust and Salman will donate his money for his soon to be opened Salman Khan Foundation (SKF), the sources said.
The final episode of the KBC will have SRK revisit some of the “magical and fun filled moments during the previous episodes.
In fact, in his inimitable style, SRK will come up with the khamakhan awards with the various humorous moments on the show divided into various categories like Khan ki khoj (some inventions on the show like topi, gale milna etc)', krazy kiya re (some unforgettable moments with some unforgettable contestants), kyunki hum sab kalakaar hain (some entertaining performances on KBC) and khullam khulla pyar karenge (some romantic moments between SRK and female contestants).
The celebrity guests, who will be clad in stunningly black outfits, will announce the nominees and the winners of khamakhan awards.
It will be a glittering finale to what has been one of the most talked about shows on the Indian television scene in recent months.

KBC News - SRK: Nice to play host to two of the nicest people in the industry Shah Rukh Khan talks about the joy of playing with Sanjay and Boman. As KBC fans all over the world enjoyed Sanjay and Boman's presence on the show last week, the host seemed equally pleased as well. Having had no real time for rehearsals or briefing the two stars about the show, Khan feels the spontaneity in the show helped make it extra special for everyone.
Shah Rukh told KBClive that the reason he invited Sanjay and Boman to the show was not because of the popularity of the Munnabhai movies but for the fan following and love that the two enjoy. "The whole idea behind the programme was to get two nice people... two genuine and good people to come down to the show. The theme of the show was ‘kar bhala toh ho bhala’ and I didn't want to harp on about Munnabhai aspect only because I think both those individuals stand for a career in films much beyond one film or two films – not deriding or taking away from Munnabhai at all. It was a wonderful film and both of them acted very well in it. But I felt we wont get stuck only on that but bring these nice persons to come and talk about nice things like charity, giving."
Khan says he is extremely honoured that Boman, who is currently shooting for his movie Goal in London, flew down to India especially for the show as well as Sanjay, who also took out time from his busy shooting schedule. "These celeb shows are for charity and both of them feel very strongly about their charities. Boman flew down from London just for a day for the show and Sanju cancelled his trip to Khandala for a shoot. And both of them said ‘no we’ll come here’ and they waited for hours and completed the show."
"And I think just their actions speak exactly what we wanted to say in the show – be of a giving nature and share with your fellow humans and there is a lot of beauty and greatness in giving. And that's why Boman and Sanju came on the show!" sums up SRK.

KBC News - Bal Bhadra leaves with 6, 40,000 rupees Re-cap from last night.Last night Bal Bhadra Dev from Vishakapatnam began his journey towards the 2 crores on offer but unfortunately for him before he could settle in, his journey came to a halt. The first hiccup came right early on at the third question where Bhadra made use of his Audience Poll lifeline. As he managed to cross this question, he reached another hurdle soon after on question five where he had to make use of yet another lifeline – 50:50 – to win the twenty thousand on offer.
However, after that Bal seemed to overcome his initial nerves and played steadily to reach the 3, 20,000 rupees question. And just when things seemed to be in his favour, Bhadra seemed unsure once again and made use of another lifeline. Using the Phone-a-Friend lifeline, Bal Bhadra went on to get the question correct and was assured of 6, 40,000 rupees at the end of his game.
Sadly, the contestant from Vishakapatnam couldn't get very far and finally two questions later he perished by giving the wrong answer. Not only did the game end for him but he also lost half his money and came down from 12,50,000 back to the minimum amount of 6,40,000 rupees.
Talking to KBClive after his game, Bal Bhadra said he was quite disappointed with himself. "Sure I have won a decent sum of money but I certainly wish I had done better. It was great being here and playing with Shah Rukh but I'll always be a bit unhappy about not doing better and losing half the money that I had already won!"
