Title: Jon's 28th Letter : March 2009

eveline - April 1, 2009 02:32 PM (GMT)
Dear everyone,

here we go, March 2009 letter.

Thank you for Jon, for always in contact with us, no matter what..
we always believe in you.

Cheers
Eveline

Hi all,

Time seems to past so quickly, it's already the end of the third month
of 2009. It seemed like a while ago that it was new year's eve. How
time seems to pass me by.

First of all I would like to thank all of you for your patience with
regards to my debut album. It's not scheduled for release just yet,
but I am still not giving up and am putting in my best efforts to make
the process faster. I think some people have already stricken my album
off the list as something that will never come, but i assure you, it
will. I think there is no one that is anticipating it's release more
than myself.

I have not been in the best of health, just last wednesday night after
a very stressful day I was hit by high fever, the fever took so many
days to subside that the doctors suspected dengue and I was sent for a
blood test. Thankfully, it wasn't. The fever started to subside
yesterday and I have not been able to do very much in my state of
illness. I was on drowsy meds so half the time I was asleep. Good news
is I am better now and am recovering pretty well after that long spell
of high fever. It is very rare that I get ill two months in a row, I
am usually pretty resistant to all this kind of thing. The only factor
that I can point to is that I have been under a lot of stress. I think
the stress from the last 7 months has finally shown its face. I urge
all of you who are in constant amounts of stress and if you are ''in a
constant state of unhappiness to do something about it quickly before
it affects your health. That's the worst thing that can happen, losing
control of your health. Everything goes downhill from there. So,
difficult as it may seem. Do try to be happy. For the sake of your
health. I have learned with much regret that extended periods of
feeling negative and being overly stressed out, worrying every hour of
the day does not reap any rewards. Being bedridden is no reward for
working hard. Being happy should be said prize.

When I was recovering, I had some time to think about my situation and
what I could do about it. I have come to some conclusions and also I
thought about what helped to pull me along these tough times, I am
lucky to have really good friends that stick with me and support me no
matter what. Though none of them read this, I would like to thank
them. I would not be able to keep doing what I am doing if not for
them.

i don't want to go on and on about how positive I am now but I am
definitely in a better place than in the last half year or so. I know
my work will show this as well. Anyway, I want to share with you this
website called TED.com I don't know if you have heard of it but this
is a wonderful website. It's motto is exchanging great ideas. It's
free to watch, and the website is full of short talks given by
various learned people in their field of specialty. i think everyone
has something that they can take away from watching this. It will make
your time much more well spent as compared to it being spent on
watching soap operas or mindless gossip programs. The talks are
generally about 20 mins so its good if you want to take a short break
from work.

i hope you will have a good month ahead. Don't forget to check out
TED.com

Jon.

Oh JON,

U r sick again.. Ya, sometimes u have been stressed for long time and although ur brain keeps on telling u that its ok, ur body will not be able to take it...

I am sorry that i dont know how to encourage u as I, myself was so stressed over two months due to my tests and exams (and now exam is one week away, nothing is ready yet :( ) and keeping my friends to encourage me again and again..

JON, I am so stressed now.. (T_T) I wanna cry .. I am so stressed now... I took 8 modules (with my greed) and now they are killing me.. I am so stressed.. i am really scared that i wont be able to get my target GPA.. I wanna cry... the more i study , the more i cant absorb... (T_T) (T_T)

OK.. I shouldnt do this.. I should encourage u instead... JON, Dont worry... U can take time to prepare ur album.. I know it will be out one day..

Oh.. There is one thing that i want to share with u.. Whenever i feel so stressed , i might cry, should out loud or talk to friends who can encourage me, but the most important determination that helps me to over come stress is that " One day (sooner or later) it will be over " Thats what i know for sure..

Well,, i am sure u r not as week as me :) anyway, relax and have a good rest.. Whatever is meant for u is there for u.. I am sure u will achieve ur dream.. U know why ?? Cuz u have the best fans and remember , u never wasted our support..

Now i am so fresh after reading ur letter.. well, bk to my study again...

Wish u to get well soon...

Nandar

Oh dear, hope you've fully recovered by now! It must have been really terrible to have a fever, esp. the headache caused by the fever! Falling sick after a long stretch of work & stress is the way our body is telling us that it needs a break!

Do take lots of your mum's nutritional soups to strengthen & refresh yourself again!

Thanks for sharing the TED website. Will check it out if there's a chance.

Take care & hear from you soon again!

P.S. Dear Nandar, do take care of yourself too! So true of what you said that "One day (sooner or later) it will be over". Hang on in there!

Dear Jon,

Agree with Angelyn that falling sick is the way our body tells us that we are overworked.
Hope you are totally well by now.
Dont worry about how many people will be anticipating your new album, that's not something which you can have control over at this point in time. And how well the album can sell is also not your job alone, give the marketing and publicity team some work to do.
Take care of your health and stay happy doing what you do.
Will patiently wait for your new album and also public performance.

See you around!

Alice smitten
