heya people,do participate in this election yea.We'r looking for Jonatics that are willing to commit to join us to make this fanclub a better one.=)

The Jonatics(name of the club,if you have any better names,do suggest.)

Yes, i mean the president,and vice president positions too.

why colleen?(a passage by the jonatic herself)

first and foremost, i think the comm needs to be a team of pple whom jon knows? yeah i expect us to be interacting with him certainly. so yeah its best if we know him and he knows us. better than a whole new gang to recognize. yup. 2nd reason.. hmm i feel that i have more time to commit to like such stuffs? cos im still a student yup. and the "passion" for jon would definitely be there. haha you get what i mean right. i dont switch idols easily in that sense hahaa. so yah. thirdly, i think i can handle personal relations? i hope so. hahaha.

why kaileng?

oh well, weird.But i think i need you people to trust that i can take up the job as our president of this fansclub.So,i'm typing.So far,i've been actively involved in roadshows and idol extra filiming,idol trailer shot.Yeap.I think i'm commited.=)

oh yea. & i am part of Jon's cheerleading team during the theatre shows.


P/s:These people has been nominated for positions. Daphne(takes up PR),Felicia(takes up secretary),Geraldine(she willingly takes up the offer) and Stephanie,A****(takes up PR),Rukia aka faith(lead photographer :] ).Please show us your support. =)

let me just explain the tasks of these people.

president:Organise meetings,get updates from the committees.
vice president:assist the president,taking over duties of president whenever he/she is
not available.
treasurer:handles cashflow.club funds.
secretary:paper work,note taking.
photographers:take photoshots during events.
event coordinators:coordinates event,draw up list of ppl attending etc.
PR:handle media (when need be) and other external parties
web mistress:maintain and update the fansite/forums.

She is so gonna kill me but I nominate Faith/Rukia for the photographer position. This position needs someone with a steady hand and good camera. She has both. ^__^.

Also, you may want a PR or contact person who is composed, articulate and streetwise, and can handle media (when need be) and other external parties. I have someone in mind but I'm scared she is also gonna kill me...A**** you wanna volunteer yourself? :P

I didn't even know I was nominated! Haha Apologies for not posting that much on the forum but rest assured that i've been reading & following up with all your conversations.

Hmm...i don't have a professional camera & my skills are too amateur, so photographer is out for me. I'm bad at figures, so no treasurer for me! Events is filled up, so that leaves Secretary? I'll take minutes of meetings? Haha

Or if *ahem* A**** is willing to take up the PR post, can I be her assistant? Since i'm like doing PR & Comms more than 8 hrs a day now, so it probably won't make a diff! ;)

I as asked to come here and offer my advice to you gals as I belong to two fanclubs and one of them has been turned official and being recogised by the artist and his company. I was juz wondering whether do you gals have a proposal already in place, like what is the aim of the fan club and what has the fan club done for Jon and how is the fan club going to help Jon. Setting up a fan club is not that easy, you need a lot of hardwork, publicity and all. You need leadership qualities to deal with the company, artist as well as fans. I'm not offering myself up to the committe but I'm willing to offer advice and willing to help draft up your proposal in the event the fanclub wants to turn official. I will definitely support this fanclub so no worries about it.

One word of advice here - the forum is a bit messy as there are postings all over the place and it's not focused. The forum is an important place to communicate messages to his fans and perhaps even to Jon if he ever comes here, so we shld try to clean up the forum, to make it look neater and to remove postings that are already no longer of any use or redundant. I get a big headache when I went to come here to read news about Jon becoz of the messy postings. Was wondering whether we could do a clean up for the forum and get some administrators/moderators to run the forum as well, not only Diyana. Get what I mean.

These are my personal comments with regards to the forum, if Diyana need help on this, feel free to approach me I'm most willing to help you do the forum up to a better standard .

Hullo all, got a suggestion here. Instead of getting nominations for all the post at the same time, perhaps the presidency post needs to be confirmed first. Cos once the president is confirmed, she (or he :P) can get the committee filled up quickly. Right now, I see Kai Leng asking people to volunteer and nominate for the positions, anyone else going for presidency? :)

Yes...is not an easy task to maintain a site nor a fanclub...
need a lot of hard works.

I think we should have a Jon's site (mean those website need to pay
with ftp account that can upload clips and stuff)...of course with no advertisment around. Some server offer $150 to $300 per year (it depends on the space)... that split into pages like News, Albums, Photos, Forum board etc. I don't mind to contribute the cost of the server...but problem is we need someone who know how to design webpage...if we ask some professional to design...the cost will not cheap...cost around $500 to $1000 (depend on how many pages you want).

Just my thought...currently this forum of Jon is quite Ok...
easy to post.

Hi hi... I think the forum, website thingy can come later... most important is to start a committee first. I think KaiLeng did a very good start earlier on...perhaps we should continue from there.

First stop, Jordan, what are the positions your 2 fan clubs have in the committee? And the number of ppl holding the office. How do they go about filling the roles and what are the duties involved?

2nd, like April suggested, we should get the president and perhaps vice president position fixed first. Who wants to nominate, volunteer for the president and vice president positions? So far I see Kaileng's and Colleen's names right? Anymore? Dun be shy or paiseh ya? But do take note that anyone who is interested has to be able to commit the time and effort when elected. We can get all the names in than do a poll if there are more than one taker. Shall we set a deadline for this?

Btw, I dun think we need a very sophisticated fanclub. Just start with a simple, free membership one and then grow from there.

Haha.. but you seriously are good for the position what..with all the great work you have done with the concert tickets, getting us news, participating in cheer leading, etc.. and you are very articulate and good with words. Just the right person for the job. Daphne as well, especially since you are already in the profession! Should come easy for both of you. So we now have 2 very competent PR potentials to help out the president, committee and fanclub!

But of course other just as capable potentials please raise your hands up if you are interested too. We want this fanclub to be successful for Jon right?

hmm, yeah i agree we should really setup the comm quick, so that we can have all the sites and everything done nicely.

firstly, we need to do up jonathanleong.net. you guys agree? no offence to Diyana though it was your effort :] i dont know if you guys have seen this

this is something i did some time back as a new layout for jonathanleong.net.
i will upload all the mp3 files there as well as pictures of course. it is more "organised" compared to the now site. compared to the cuurent layout it is more "official" and neat. so do give feedback on it.

and of course we understand the pros & cons of setting up an fc. it requires alot of time and effort. but i believe everything can be worked out nicely if we setup a comm soon, to attend to all the problems now :]

OH YES! and a PR would be good! good suggestion people ;D

Konnichiwa everyone!

I haven't been in here for a while and happy to know that this forum created by Diyana is active and ongoing! Once again, Diyana thank you for taking the time if I do recall you were having your exams but still you make time to set this up so that all Jon's supporters could have a place to call "our own." Bravo!


Jon's FAN CLUB next? That is so cool! Yeah I absolutely agree and support that Jon needs an Official Fan Club. When he eventually become a bonafide artiste, definitely his FAN CLUB is very important.

Jon wouldn't want to perform without an audience. People who appreciate his music, buying his CDs and going to watch his performance, that is what it is all about, isn't it? Jon gets to do what he has always want to do and we get to enjoy it. Oh...I would also want to be Jon's friend. Hmm..am sure many also want to, so don't think it is possible. :rolleyes:


Well, I have read many, lots...on how you all love Jon's singing...his voice has touches you in many ways so...needless for me to say how much we all will enjoy. :P When he finally gets his recording deal, though it is not going to be so soon....it will be good to have the FAN CLUB going and keeping it alive. Hopefully by then it has flourished and grown! When the time comes....don't have to build from scratch? Long term goal...am I getting abit too serious for some of you? Hope not...just my nature in case you are wondering what it is...well just read my signature lah! :D


I have seen the list of people that has volunteered and nominated, very happy to see some familiar names. I am sure all of you are well aware and prepared. The time and commitment involved in maintaining and running a FAN CLUB. So, I admire all of you for doing this whole heartedly and unconditionally.


Also glad to see some are working adults, as I believe with their background and experience working in an organisation will definitely be an advantage to guide the younger ones. It will be good to set up a plan, at least have a basic plan, so that each and everyone in the commitee understand and know their individual roles and responsibilities.


I believe Rukia is petty good with photography she has taken alot of nice shots of Jon in most of the Roadshow we have attended. And she has a bazooka 7 mega pixels digi cam too. Well...think she will do a good job and I must say she is very resourceful too and she has lots of contact from all area of industries. It will be good if she is involved in the commitee too.


Kai Leng has done a good job by kicking the ball rolling. I have no doubt on her dedication and commitment. Could start off with an objective, mission and vision. Then work on the plan and goals?


Some mention about getting an official site as in setting up Jon's Official Website like most does, hope don't mind me sharing my thoughts, I do agree it is good to have but perhaps not at the moment?


Go slow and start small first, there is still time to take it up to the next level when things develop for Jon's music career. Don't have to spend money for now? Well, would need to pay for the web domain name and also a hosting company to host the site. Not that it cost a bomb but still...it is a yearly thing to up keep. Do not see the need at the moment, and beside Jon has his priority to accomplish first.


Don't get me wrong, I am not playing devil's advocate. I would like to show my support and may Jon's Fan Club be a successful one. If there is any need for any assistance, just shout...I will be happy to help in anyway I can. Go girls!!!

Btw, Faith could not come on to the Forum and asked to inform that she would be glad to take up that photographer role.

I am glad we seem to have quite good candidates for all the positions. Wah the secrtary seat quite hot ya. I think Felicia would make a very good secretary because she is a PA by profession. I think we would need also some committee members without portfolio so those who volunteer can still be included. This way when you organize some events or any other thing, you have the extra hand to standby and also extra head for ideas.

Yes, I think Kaileng and Colleen will make good choices for President and Vice-president positions. Both are well-known and very active in their supoprt for Jon. I am sure both KaiLeng and Colleen, together with the committee will make the fan club a successful one.
