To Jon,

This year is definitely a memorable year, since “knowing” you and glad to be sharing the same world as you. It was through your passion and your love for music that have brought so many people together.

I think what makes you so unique and different besides your unique voice and singing talent, is the way you looked at life, your thoughts, your emotions, the way you expressed yourself, that quiet disposition you possessed in you it is just…special. Not sure if I am right to say this, and it is because of all these qualities inside you that have attracted many people.

And it was also through your sharing about yourself, your life at the SI’s blog that was how we get to learn more about you, other than just hearing you sing. It really makes a lot of different; we are able to connect with you and not just your music alone. That was really a tough tiring moment for you isn’t it? I am sure you have grown since then. You’re stronger now than you was before…just like the song “You give me wings”. That is a beautiful song with meaningful lyrics, though some said otherwise.

As for the tabloids…well I have only one thing to say. "The public have an insatiable curiosity to know everything, except what is worth knowing." You mentioned that you are going to close your friendster account, as it can only takes up to 1000 max. I can see why and doesn’t make sense to create another and another account and have to maintain all of them isn’t it? Well, I hope you would keep it still, guess that is the only way sort of to feel connected to you?

You have brought many beautiful moments to our lives through your music, your words, thank you Jon. I sincerely do wish you success in your music career and of course in your studies as well. You’re an intelligent man, you have to graduate ok? It will not only make your parents proud but it shows your love and appreciation for them too.

in life, I do enjoy so much with something called Musics! to me, I cant imagine life without musics...and musics is one of life's ornaments that God has created for us, human being....and HE created some people with Great talents to make musics beautiful for human's life...and do you know Jon?....One of those people is You...!

and we are amazed not only with your talents in musics...but also your great personality, warm and friendly behaviour makes the package complete in you...with loving parents around you who just as great as you.

I posted that song because I happen to like those sappy love songs...not sure how so. Alex Band, front man of "The Calling", I love his voice and his style of singing, and I felt that Jon does have the same special essence too. Guess that is why I like Jon's singing alot! And Jon writes too..."A person who can write a long letter with ease, cannot write ill". (Jane Austen).

I think it applies perfectly to both Jon & his fans. It makes sense for him to hone his craft & polish up his singing skills before he embarks on making an album. Slow & steady wins the race! :)

As for us, i'm sure his album wouldn't disappoint when it does get released. Cos all his hard work & effort would have paid off...not forgetting lotsa lurrrveeeee put into making the album! afro

Didn't want to think about missing you yet because Nov & Dec have been such beautiful time seeing you always!

Reading the messages have made me real sad and dreading the coming months of not seeing you! You are going to be away from us for quite a while and we do have to let you concentrate on your studies! Can't imagine the time from now, things just seems so lifeless even thinking about it!

Because of you, we have all been so happy sharing our love for you! If only you could see for yourself .. the fantastic bonding among your supporters, for me I am so touch by all of them!

When I need to feel inspired in my work, songs like Chasing Cars, If You Are Gone, Wherever You Will Go & Dance With My Father have such a "melancholic element" in them that they never fail to lift me up. I am actually rather paradoxical, U would think; "sad songs which are actually inspirational"(?) but I am one of those who beg to differ.

This is perceptual coz some may not think these songs have this "moody icing" in them but personally I actually love the way you gave these songs such an emotional and passionate feel in them, that they actually make me fall so in love with you as a performer.

Don't know if you knew - 'You do exude masculine charm in your own quiet way without being over-bearing' and that's one of the many reasons which makes you so endearing to us all (I am saying this on behalf of all Jonatics, whom I believe will agree with me as well).

Oh gosh, Jon, I need to touch on how I feel about the "rock element" and "jazz element" in your songs; I will do so the next time, otherwise some folks might fall asleep after reading my lengthy letter (zzzzzz .... haha!)

Congratulations once again on winning "Best Hunk" - you truly deserve it in every sense and I really admire your humble personality and also on the "Best Fight" category. When I read your interview reply given in "Best Fight" the phrase, "Take the road less traveled. It will make all the difference".

I found this phrase all too familiar coz guess what, this is from the poem by American poet, Robert Frost and there is this big poster of the poem (with the below wordings) just outside my boss's room. I am staring at this poster everyday in the office coz I sit just across from his room. He's always stressing on creativity and "daring to be different" by taking the road less traveled.

I know U do draw inspiration from poetry. Some past poets did lead difficult lives (from humble background) but through perseverance and lots of dedication and yes passion, they succeeded eventually. (For the benefit of any other Jonatics who are reading this, Frost took the Bollingen Prize for Poetry, his last award in 1963 before he died (sob ....).
