Let's talk about rock, something Jon would be familiar with.

It is only right that some of the bands that Jon's into, Audioslave, Velvet Revolver, are reincarnations of legendary rock bands. Soundgarden + Rage Against the Machine = Audioslave. Guns N Roses + Stone Temple Pilots = Velvet Revolver.

New bands with such pedigree do deserve respect. However, let's not forget our forefathers of rock. Without bands like AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath to inspire the rock out of their successors and drive their legions of fans wild, rock music would've been outdone by the squeal of pop, the commercialised mainstream & the $-hungry industry executives.
