Thank you for arranging another gathering.
Suggestion : You could add another icon to vote for the date of the gathering, so that you could narrow down, when majority could make it.

I think the next gathering, should be a gathering where, people could have the opportunity to know each other better. Therefore, it would be good to include some bonding activities like getting-to-know you games, ice-breaker etc. Once each and everyone know each other better at a deeper level, it would be easier to interact in the future when going on outings like Karaoke, Barbeque etc., as everyone knows each other well, so we can really have a good time together. At this stage, not everyone knows each other perfectly well, apart from their names, therefore, there are tendencies that you will group with the people whom you only know well.

Therefore, to carry out the above more appropriately, my vote goes to potluck at someone's house, that incorporates bonding activities. If you need assistance in this area, to formulate some of these activities, I will be happy to provide help and could also open my home for the gathering, amongst the list you already have.

Meanwhile, let's hear what others have to say, and what their votes go to. BBQ by the beach sounds good too, but it could be too open if you are carrying out bonding activities. However, if you have a large crowd of 60-70 people, perhaps, being in the open could be more appropriate.

I totally agree with mag... :D

We should have bonding sessions, ice breaker games for our next gathering... once we know each other well, we can organise activities such as karaoke-ing etc...

so my vote would go to : potluck at sumone's house OR just like what mag had mentioned earlier, if we have a big group, activities by the beach would be appropriate...

thanks for the input, yes, we will package it with a team building games, fun games...but it will be more appropriate if we have the gathering for BBQ @ the beach or someone's house, coz we need space to have interaction.

ealier, with my church friends, I organized a gathering too @ east coast and pasir ris park, it was very fun and create an amazing bonding..:)

to decide the timing, I cant put another icon for polling, the date will be decide in a later part where majority can make it....

if you have any ideas/suggestion for any games/details, you can Pm me, and can join to be the adhoc team for this event....

meantime, enjoy the day...it's a wednesday!..:)

i like both potluck at someone's house & bbq at the beach. Anyway I voted for BBQ at the beach as i feel it is good to have some outdoor fun & still can interact as we can have lots of teamwork eg..doing shopping,buying drinks, marinating food etc. & can takes turn to bbq for one another & together we were smell 'smoking delicious'..haha

I choose both bbq and outing.

Bbq is a classic choice. Great for bonding. And not to mention, yummy food. :P

Outing is also good too. A variety of different types of outings(movie marathon, shopping sprees, etc.) is fun and add spice to our friendship. :)

majority now is At the beach...BBQ....so keep the ideas flowing....:)
and after that, let us decide when is the best time to have our first BBQ...
we will arrange to marinate the chicken wings together too...assign a group of people to bring
on the stuffs...it is a teamwork!...so keep the ideas flowing pals...

Picnic cum BBQ at East Coast...
we can do quite a lot things there...
playing game, cycling, jogging, chatting,
eating...even can go for bowling if we want to.

As for the date...
maybe after chinese new year...
as Feb is a busy month...
doing spring cleaning and preparing for CNY.

anyway, i've voted for bbq party @ the beach... i've always love the beach, it's such a nice & breezy place for gathering ya... hm, i think the date of gathering is likely to be after CNY cos some of us would be busy doing spring cleaning or even out of S'pore during the festive period.... rolleyes:

Hopefully, more jonatics as well as the newbies would join us for the next gathering ya...

Looking forward to another gathering with all of you! Anything is fine with me as long as we can enjoy each other’s company and share the bonding.

However, BBQ at the beach would be good for team building games as we need the open space and we will also definitely be noisy! It is nice to relax and enjoy the cool breeze too but we do have to hope for fine weather.

Thank you dear all..for all the feedback..so happy that all of you are so enthusiastic :) we definitely will have a very unforgettable gathering soon and also the most important is that we will share a beautiful friendship together in this family of the jonatics..:)

Hi Eve,
don't mind anything that's arranged for the majority's preference.
Whist there may be quite a lot of effort planning activities and such
for the get together we can also consider having a "potluck" high-tea
at someone's home 1-2 wks after CNY just to "chill" out.
It would be nice to arrange viewing some of Jon's performances during the spectaculars.
