Jon will be participating in a sharing session at the Rivervale CC Youth Executive Committee Biannual General Meeting. He's the guest speaker for this sharing session. Woohoo!

Date: Sunday 2 Sep 07
Time: 2 - 5 pm
Venue: CHIJ St Joseph's Convent @ Sengkang East Way (AVA Theatrette)

There will be a registration booth at the entrance, and they're expecting abt 100 participants. Do come down if you can! Think you'll be given the chance to ask questions too. Finger foods will be provided.

What does a guest speaker do? Does he deliver a speech, or will he be interviewed? What will he be sharing on?

But I suppose, ex-youths like me will not be counted. :huh:

Think he will be sharing something related to youths and how one should endeavour to strive for their dreams. Format is probably like that of a talk show, probably the floor can ask questions too.

I have always wanted to hear jon speak, not to mention, his raspy low voice =)

I had sprained my right hand...
need to rest for few weeks.

Ex-Youth can do with views from youth of this generation cause they are going through different times from our past & facing a more challenging future, they tend to be more vocal too. It may help us to understand our youth better too! I would love it if my teenage sons (at least one) would come along with me, at least a good & valid reason for me to turn up, otherwise I do feel awkward to be there. It's no use conveying the msg to them 'cos then to them, it's like we're nagging at them (for those who have children, I'm sure you understand what I mean); they have to hear it or ask questions for themselves.

We have many young Jonatics, so do go for the sharing session, ya!

Hey all,

just a short update on the sharing session earlier.

Jon shared on how its important to pursue one's dream, the progress of his album and how character is more important than academic qualifications or monetary worth. Think he said quite a lot, fielding questions from both the MC and the floor, and he was pretty frank with some of the things he shared.

He also spoke a little about his school days and about the media circle. Actually, he really shared quite a bit of things here and there, some of which I cannot recall now haha, and some of which I shant post here :P

Someone from the floor asked him if he was attached too. Lol.

Anyway, here's a little pic taken at the event, Jon looking all laid back and comfortable in the little red sofa.

yeah, how is the album progressing?

Album is still in preparation phase. :)

Jon did emphasize that while most singers take that 1-2 yrs of album preparation before appearing in the limelight, he's the opposite. He got that bit of fame first through SI, so now got that lag time in his album roll-out. Guess we'll need to be a little patient. After all, we don't want an album thats full of cover songs only right? :P
