Title: Merry Christmas!
April - December 13, 2007 11:04 AM (GMT)
Here it is finally, Season's Greetings from Jon in the month of Dec!
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Sleigh bells ring, are you listening...
Everybody's favourite season is the just around the bend, it's time to put on the christmas carols and go xmas shopping! I drove by town last week during my one and only christmas shopping trip, gotta say that I really like the whole white light up in orchard this year. Its simple and nice... very cool.
I had my very first radio interview on 93.3fm just a few days ago, it was very enjoyable but also very much a challenge to use mandarin to converse all the way... I need more opportunities to use the things I have learnt in language class. Anyway, Things have been pretty ok thus far, working working working and practicing practicing practicing..Oh! for those of you who came for the gig at courts, thanks a bunch for the encouragement also, was nice to see some familiar faces in the huge crowd.
The next time I am going to prepare for a gig for the bookfest at suntec city, I haven't had the chance to go to a book fair in the recent years... I wonder if they sell comics... I have been reading something new from the Vertigo comic line (they have the coolest storylines and artwork.. but its suggested for mature readers) its called "Preacher", I picked up 1 and 2 of the paperbacks last week and I have already read them 3 times! Think I may be a little obsessed...for those of you who enjoy dark comics with a fantasy feel you should read the synopsis online somewhere and give this series a try. Highly recommended (as good as sandman). This letter feels a little blog-ish for some reason. Hmm...
I have heard that there are many good DVD releases the special 2 disc kind all over but I have yet to make a pit stop at a dvd store. There isn't much point in getting the one disc dvds you know what I mean? Especially if you've seen the flick in the theatres, the magic is usually in the special features disc, with the commentaries, interviews, making ofs, storyboards that gives the insight into the geeky, hard work, blood sweat and tear world of entertainment.
Ok, i was a little curious... and had a look see at the Dvd release sites... many of the good movies of the year are already out in bonus 2 disc specials!!! Will definitely rent them soon. Talking about all these movies makes me kinda relaxed. strange...
For you non movie buffs, this month's letter is a bit boring for you so enough about hollywood. As much as christmas is becoming more and more about presents, don't forget to be generous not only to your loved ones but the less fortunate as well... no good deed goes unrepaid (and even if it doesn't, at least you made someone feel nice).
I want to thank you all for making 2007 a memorable one and here's wishing all of you (and your loved ones) a very wonderful christmas full of joy... merry making and of course... a happy happy happy happy new year!
Ho Ho Ho!
Jon.

I always get a déjà vu feeling when I read your letter and that’s a good feeling! Don’t worry about what you write ‘cause those are words & thoughts coming straight from yourself and that’s what we’re always looking forward to.
So! Any charitable Christmas work for you this year? I and I’m sure many others really wish that you’ll be performing in some Countdown this year! This makes me think back of your last year-end’s countdown at Vivo-city – you looked dashing, charming & sounded so good!
We’ll be looking forward to seeing you at the Suntec Bookfest!

Hey,
Learning to play the guitar yeah? Hope to hear you strum that one day during one of your events. Hehe.
Talking about movies. Can't wait to catch Warlords, with its testosterony angst and eyecandy. Woohoo.
While you're preparing for your performances at Bookfest and Countdown, don't forget to have fun and take time to smell the roses!

Pssst....can someone please tell this young gentleman not to "ho, ho, ho"? Just in case he has fans in those 2 continents? wink1
louisa - December 16, 2007 03:50 PM (GMT)
I was thinking. If jon was crowned as the spore idol, today he would be in indo, competing for asian idol. I wonder by twist of fate, what the outcome will be like. Hmm...
Eclipse, i dun understand what you mean. Lolz.
Jon, wishing you a merry, merry christmas. Spread the christmas cheer around!
Cheers,
louisa.

Hi Louisa, USA and Australia have told their Santa characters not to say "ho, ho, ho" anymore because that is offensive to their women. It sounded too close to something not very nice. Their Santas have been asked to say "ha, ha, ha" instead. To me, "ha-ing" Santas sound looney. At least "ho, ho, ho" can mean "good, good, good" in some of our local culture.

In the lane, snow is glistening. :P
Thanks for the letter, Jon. You certainly "sound" chirpy. All in the holiday mood? :)
Me a little curious - how did Toto react when you brought the little dog home? Oh! I must say it was very sweet of you to help that little dog. And yes, as the DJ said, "jia fen jia fen!".. hehe.
Anyways, looking forward to your coming performances and don't forget to enjoy yourself too!
Merry Christmas, and in case, I don't drop a line to you any time soon, Happy New Year too. Oh, my greetings to Papa and Mama Jon, and Toto too. :D
