Title: Fatty Fatty Fat Fat!

The lake was a calm place to be that day; few dragons bathing as it seemed the task had been taken on earlier in the week for most, which made it a perfect time for a particular pair to come out of their weyr.
"Oh Shards and shells... she's gotten huge!" What should have been a joyous proclamation was instead quite fretful, the queenriders face pickling into a pouting expression. The queen glanced over contritely, but Alesia wouldn't allow a single apology out of the beast. "No, you're doing as you should; you're eating and growing with life in that huge, bulbous belly of yours" A hand brushed against the queens hide, which was already stretched as if she were 2/3 of the way through her pregnancy, but instead, she was barely halfway through her term. "Maybe you just get extra big during pregnancy Iolath... but I'm thinking you're just that full of egg."
Iolath glanced towards her belly, her wings giving a shrug as she scratched idly at the flaking skin only to be batted away as her rider resumed oiling her after her bath. I am not in any discomfort. The queen offered, as if her well being would resolve all of Alesias grief with the notion of her well being. The conceited remark pulled a smile onto the Weyrwomans face, giving the dragon a good scratch before slathering more oil on her. "Arrogant beast. You're lucky I love you as much as I do."
((open to anyone XD))

Kiskith normally wasn't one to make her rider uncomfortable. Such as she was today. Landing gently on the shore of the lake. Lyra, sliding off her neck, cast a nervous look at the queen and her rider. Kiskith crooned playfully and nudged her gently, eyes a whirl with happiness. Despite she thought she was dirty, she could wait until hers was ready. Lyra glanced up in some surprise as Lil'Bit and Flyer popped in from between and settled on her shoulders. One on each.
"Go swim." She told Kiskith, who had been watching her intently. A joyous sound come from the green's throat and she happily went in.
Lyra was left to watch the young dragon paddle, all the while stroking Lil'Bit. Flyer wasn't as keen on attention as Lil'Bit was, but would enjoy the occasional scratch. Lil'Bit, however, seemed afraid that she'd loose Lyra if she wasn't affectionate. Which wasn't true. Both flits could be the meanest little creatures out and Lyra and Kiskith would still love them.
~Hokays! Minemine! I'm done. Will you comescrub me now?~ Kiskith's voice startled Lyra out of her thoughts and she nodded.
"Of course."
The emerald hide was slippery, but while she climbed up, Kiskith looked intently at Iolath.
~How are you Iolath? You look well, your hide looks especially shiny today.~ She gave a happy greeting, then telling hers to say hello.
"Good day Weyrwoman." Lyra obliged her dragon in a soft voice, intent on scrubbing her hide.
~Thank-you mine. That feels very nice.~

Alesia took note of an energetic green that took to the water a few dragonlengths down the lake, quirking a brow at the way it arched its neck so playfully and splashed about in the water. "How old is she? She's quite small." Iolath turned a lazy gaze towards the green, pausing for a moment to recognize who it was.
Oh, she's fully grown. Slightly younger than I. We have many small greens here; they are faster in the air. At that moment, the green would turn a friendly greeting towards them, inclining a happy draconic hello towards the gold in a body language accentuating their mental words. Dragon ways were truly fascinating. The gold inclined her head kindly in the direction of the green, giving a small dip as she returned the niceties. I am as well as I appear, Kiskith. Thank you for asking. Haha, even when a queen is at its nicest, they can still be quite vain. Your hide is also looking well. Hunting has been well, I hope?
Alesia now turned her attention to the greenrider, who seemed to have spoken to her. Snapping out of her daze, she nodded curtly, offering an awkward smile as best she could. "Good day, greenrider Lyriania" She had to make sure she said each syllable, since every now and then, her Telgarian accent would make her slur such names.
Iolath leaned into her rider slightly, reminding her to continue oiling her belly. The rest of her still only needed oiling every few days, but now she found herself oiling the swelling golden gut every day. Alesia frowned, returning to her duties. Still she felt obligated to make small talk, and offered a bit of what was on her mind to the greenrider. "They're needy when they are gravid." Of course, the greenrider would not know what it is like to have a pregnant dragon, though she didn't think such a comment would bother her. She didn't think that she would have known pregnancy herself either, with how young she was. Then again, you never know. In Holds they are known to become pregnant quite soon, but if a person Impressed at her age.. oh.. maybe when she was 13... 14 or so, she probably hadn't went through pregnancy. True, greenflights could result in pregnancy but most were discouraged to indulge in such maternal affairs during a Pass. Ugh, there she went, analyzing everyone she met!

Kiskith gave a chipper trill in response at first. Mulling over her words. Oh the Queen was talking, talking, talking! To her! Oh how special she felt, very, very special. Thus, no mistake.
~hrr... Yes, I like asking. Yes thankyou, wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. What about you? Do you still hunt, does your mine bring you food?~ She wasn't trying to be mean, no... She was just... Blunt. She knew the queen was pregnant. As hers had said. Kiskith didn't understand the concept.
Lyra smiled and shrugged,
"I realy wouldn't know Weyrwoman. Kiskith has yet to even rise. And... Being a green... She's not ever going to be in such a way." She replied easily, offering a bright smile to the other woman as she paused in the scrubbing of Kiksith's neck. Lil'Bit chirped, begging for attention, and Lyra had to divert her attention, yet again.
((Sorry, that's like... Really crap. I just woke up.))

A low, tolerant rumble emanated from deep within the gold, the thrumming chuckle a warm, cheerful sound. I do not believe I will be encumbered enough so I can't brind down most game. I merely cannot go -between- any more. The thought of what could happen if she performed such a feet caused her to glance at her belly worriedly, moving in such a way so she could better examine her own bulk.
Alesia quirked a brow, glancing at the green. Then again she was a small creature, and some of the smaller colors were known to mature more slowly if they were particularly small in size. "Quite odd. You aren't holding her back, are you? I'd suggest maybe seeing men.. or women?" She added in respect to if the girl had other preference, but didn't dwell on it, for it was the way of the Weyr in many cases. "But anyhow, maybe you should open yourself up to romance. It's unusual for a green not to rise in the first one or two turns of life." Alesia was usually one to be in ones business about their dragon, but in a sense it was her duty to make sure all was well in the Weyr.
(lol I'm feeling the same way XD)

Kiskith seemed to realise for once that she may have offended someone or in this case. The Queen. She ducked her head, looking sort of embarrassed for herself. And her talons dug into the ground slightly. Much like a human scuffing their foot against the dirt. She crooned in apology.
~Oh... I am sorry Iolath. I am sure that your babies will be wonderful. Pretty, pretty. Yes, sure I am. I wasn't sure. Since I have never been with egg, nor has mine. So I do not know your restrictions. I am very, awfully sorry if I caused any offense to you.~ She did sound sorry, which was very different for the green.
Lyra looked at Kiskith for a moment, frowning as she thought about her reply.
"Not that I know of. Honestly. I do try, I guess she just requires so much attention I forget." She laughed softly, biting her lip then, wondering if she was really was holding her dragon back. Kiskith giggled mentally, she didn't mind even if hers was holding her back.
((Kisk was supposed to rise the day after the party thing but meh XD I doubt anyone would give chase XD))

An ever-tolerant glance was given to the green once more, golden ribcage heaving with an effort to take in a deep breath with the very mass of eggs within her belly pressing against her lungs and shortening her breath. Ah yes, pregnancy was wonderful, yes?
Greens have their place as the fastest threadfighters. Queens lay eggs and watch over the Weyr. It is not your place to know my burden, as it is not -my- place to breathe flame. It was actually a pretty powerful thing to say, for a queen to admit something was not within her reach, but the particularly mothering queen would look upon the green with a slowly growing understanding of how she would have to treat dragons in the Weyr; not as rivals and foreign beings, but as creatures that were now under her wing, looking towards her for guidance. Haha, these are the things that mulled in a dragons mind that were sometimes kept from their riders; but then again everyone needed to have their individuality; even the dragons that could not survive without humans.
Alesia was too busy pondering over the green, but dismissed it with a flip of her hand toward the air, as if to brush away the worry from her thoughts. "No matter. Nature always takes its course eventually." Alesia put the finishing touches onto oiling her beast and stepped back to admire her handiwork. She had been diligent as soon as she had noticed the stretching of the queen's hide, and all strain marks she had seen in the days before were much less noticable and would heal properly. "Well, I think I'm well and done with Iolath, here. I should really get back to the records.. so much work to do..."

Kiskith didn't seem bothered by the fact that she may have caused Iolath offense any more. Now nudging at the water with an interested look in her eyes. When Flier moved down to have a look at her, she snorted happily and blew a breath out at him.
~Flying Thread is fun. Breathing flame is very uncomfortable though, and it doesn't taste very nice.~ Kiskith had been listening, thus why her reply was so well though-out. Which was a rare occurance for the little green. Her tail moved, spalshing in the water as she considered the queen's words. No, not her place to know what being with egg was like. Never, she was a thread fighter, and Hers'. WHy would she need to know Iolath's troubles.
Lyra smiled as she leant back from scrubbing the green's hide to address the Weyrwoman.
"Which is good, it will happen. Eventually." She mumbled, grinning widely as she petted Kiskith's shoulder. Then she nodded, much as she had enjoyed speaking with Alesia the Weyrwoman had things she had to do.
"It was nice speaking with you Alesia." Simple words, but with as much feeling put behind them as the young rider could manage.
