And we are planning a gather! The Weyrleaders were supposed to go to all the Holds for a banquet to celebrate the flight of Iolath.. but the poor dearie so so fat that the Weyrleaders fear she might not be fit for going -between-. So instead.. a gather! It will be hosted within the Weyr, both for neutrality and so that the Holds can safely show up to trade wares for items desperately needed that they are not getting from the nearby Holds.
Woodworkers from another Weyrs territory will be invited to have much needed supplies for trade, as well as some Southern traders that will have wares exclusive to that area such as feline pelts (yay! just what you needed in your weyr ;D ) Anyone have ideas for other types of vendors? I'm open to any suggestions. Just start naming them off, and if you want to have a trader character that would be -awesome- even if he or she goes NPC every now and then (also, if you want trader searchables, I'm sure lots of traders have kids ;D What better way to be searched than go to a Weyr gather?)
I want to have some fun things happen before the hatching, and see the candidates be rped more in a fun setting =D What do you guys think?
Hooray for Gathers! There's the ever-popular bubbly-pie vendors, the blacksmith, the tanner who can repair leather goods like harnesses and such, clothing and fabric, the harper hall can sell musical scores for all the musical weyrpeople. Hmm.. tinkers in general for all the random knick knacks lying around a typical weyr. Lots of fun stuff in store here :D
Perhaps even a limited number of firelizard eggs for sale from a lucky person who found a clutch? Maybe not though, we don't want the Weyr overrun by the beasties. :P
How about a sale -and- a raffle? nobody knows what is in their egg until they hatch =D It wouldn't be many, and most likely none would get sold to PCs... Just maybe a raffle since firelizard eggs would be quite expensive.
