With a huff, Asvia crossed her arms, poked out her bottom lip, and slid down the stone wall of the empty hallway until she sat on the cold floor. She was in quite a predicament, and found the whole situation totally unfair. Realizing that sitting on the floor sulking wouldn't help any, she stood back up with a sigh.
This is why I won't let you get one. They are so much trouble. Besides, they shed and smell and make awful noises.
The Bluerider rolled her eyes. "Felines aren't as bad as you say. Though this one is certainly annoying."
The feline in question belonged to a friend who had business to take care of and would be gone for two days. She had asked if Asvia would mind caring for the animal, but that Tobold needed to be kept in the rider's weyr. But Asvia, unlucky as she is, had accidently let the feline out when she went into her friend's weyr to feed Tobold. That's what led to her chasing the feline all over the weyr. And she knew he was here somewhere, just hiding. But she couldn't find him, and Mica was suspiciously absent. "Dratted flitt. Never here when you need him."
And so, with a groan, she continued down the hallway, looking left and right for any sign.

Enter K'mav, with his graceful, fluid gait usually saved for thse accustomed to carrying baskets of laundry on their heads. His brown-hazel eyes found the wandering rider, and he slowed his pace, shaking his brown hair out of his eyes and greeting her with a rogueish grin. "Hello there!"
~Asvia.~
"...Asvia," he added, grinning sheepishly.
{She's not in my wing; give me a break.}
~Lazy wherry.~
He had taken note of her behavior before he greeted her-- everything pointing to a determined search for something. "Are you lost?" Maybe she was trying to find the kitchen.
~She and Estoith have been here for longer than us,~ added Daharenth blithely, and K'mav resisted smacking his forehead with his hand.

The woman jumped, surprised, and whirled around to face the other rider. Or she meant to. In actuality, she ended up tripping as she spun and fell on the floor. Today definately wasn't one of her good days. "Hello floor, meet my bum." she muttered before standing up and dusting herself off. Hands on her hips, she eyed the rider, sizing him up, before relaxing.
"It isn't nice to scare a lady, you know."
I wouldn't say that.
What, that is wasn't nice?
No, that you are a lady.
That's not nice either!
Never said I was.
While Asvia had been speaking with Estoith, numerous expressions flowed across her face, changing from confusion, to annoyance, to slight amusement. Taking a hold of herself, she focused her atention back on the rider.
"Lost? No, not me. I have a wonderful sense of direction!" she declared.
So says the rider who thought the broom closet was the way to the community baths.
Shut it, you!
"Ahem, anyway. No, I'm looking for a friend's feline. He go away this morning, and I was supposed to keep him in my friend's weyr. So I need to find him. I haven't had much luck so far, though."

Short, but lithe. He approved.
"My apologies," he said, winking. Then he tipped back on his heels, listening. "A lost feline? There seems to be a plethora of lost little kittens this mornning." He gazed scrutinizingly at her. Well, she wasn't a gold-rider, and she didn't look the part, either-- she was too cute. Not to mention she was a bit slim. He lamented his luck-- she would've been perfect if she just had a few curves...
"Well, I could assist you in your search," he suggested. He'd have to see where this led.
