Name: Aeryn
Gender: Female
Age: 13
Sexual Preference: Male
Rank: Candidate
Appearance: 5'2" (at maturity, 5'6"). 96 pounds (at maturity, 113 pounds). Hair: silver-blonde, straight, thick, falls well past shoulders. Eyes: violet (blue-gray, and so dark that they often appear to be purple). Skin: golden. Build: very slender.
Personality: Aeryn is a quiet girl. She's pretty enough (striking, in fact) that many people put this trait down to demure modesty. It's not. Aeryn is painfully shy, and far from thinking she's pretty, she tries to avoid looking in reflective surfaces. All she sees is a skinny kid whose accomplishments fall short in every way of four older brothers. In fact, her attributes (as she sees them) number only two: an excellent memory, and the ability to keep out of everyone's way. She is used to her own company, but that doesn't keep her from watching from the sidelines as her peers interact, and wishing she could be one of them.
History: Aeryn's family is entrenched in the rich, prosperous agriculture of Izvand Hold. Her father is a gifted farmer and natural storyteller who often entertains the Hold of an evening with the Izvand Harper, swapping tall tales with him, each more exaggerated than the last. Her mother was a Runner and now is in charge of the Izvand Hold Station. Her four brothers are all hardworking, intelligent, good-looking, and ruthlessly competitive with themselves and each other. They never considered Aeryn, who was always a slight child, to be of much worth in those endeavors they felt were important: swimming, climbing, running, threshing grain, and anything else loud that required muscles and got them attention. So Aeryn, who adored her brothers, grew up doubting herself at every turn, finding herself lacking in every way, and uncertain about how to overcome all this.
Family: Father: Bielor. Mother: Lynnae. Brothers: Tynor, Milon, Alier, Joleb.
Dragon: blue Eagrith (Impressed November 1, 2007), from the Hide My Pretty Face Egg (#17).
All descriptions that listed in italics are written by Nako. The most flat, unflattering brown would encase over half of this egg, mottled by a slightly grayer, lighter brown.Covering most of the top except for a few patches here and there, one would almost be drawn to curiosity just because of the almost intentional dullness of the egg. If one peered at the bottom of the egg, or through one of the patches that had missed the lackluster assault, one would see an amazing webbing of yellows, greens and blues, highlighted in some areas with a most vibrant pink. Oh, what a pretty egg it would have been without this strange.. birth mark upon its shell.Appearance:
One of the last eggs to break shell, a huge crack opened on the brown side of the shell, pushed aside like an escape hatch so the creature within could escape. A very small, awkward looking blue fell out, and a murmur and some good natured chatter was already striking up in the stands. It seemed everyone found the amount of blues a little odd. The blue though, would pay them no heed. Instead, he toddled off, scoping out the candidates. He then noticed someone was watching him. Him! Most everyone else was either watching the gaggle of greens, or that showy bronze that was over near the boys. Curious, he stepped towards her, warily at first, then with more confidence. His color was a transition of light underbelly to dark spine, not too spectacular compared to some of the dragons that had hatched this Impression, but still beautiful all the same. There was a gasp as someone Impressed a green nearby, and he turned his attention to that, momentarily distracted, tilting his head quizzically at the sight.
Size: Very small.
Personality:
Eagrith is easily the smallest blue of the clutch. To top it off, he's also very awkwardly built, with earknobs, feet and tailtip too big for him. He'll continue to be the smallest for sevendays despite a good appetite. Weyrlingmasters assure that this is normal, and not to try to overfeed him to make him grow. He's willing to please, but also has a rare sense to know when he's overstraining himself. His ability to back down might make other dragonets, especially blues, think he is weaker. Despite this, he's good-natured about it, especially since the next day all his other brothers and sisters will wish they hadn't swam that extra lap. He's assertive and does not let shyness shackle him down, and his politeness compliments this attribute well.
