Title: 11/02/07

The New Month

November has begun, and I hope everyone had a safe and happy Halloween this year. Kharasi is going stronger than ever, and we have much in store coming up this month. I hope to schedule both a gather and a confrontation with illegal trading caravans from Thyra.. not sure which order I'll be doing that though. I might have some firelizard eggs open to some people, but for very good reasons, Weyrlings will not be Impressing to any firelizards until their dragons are older. What's a good age, do you think? Three months? That will come faster than any of you think =) Though I have a lot in store, I'm open to more plot ideas, especially smaller ones that others can more easily take a part in. Just message me with any of these ideas.

Hatching Success

The hatching went smoothly and quickly, and I'd like to personally congratulate everyone on their Impressing. You all deserved it. =) I also ask that everyone keep in mind that little quirks will be thrown their way here and there. Some dragonets that were hatched as 'medium size' might not stay medium sized as they grow. Some might even grow slower than others but then hit a growth spurt at odd times. I'm trying to add a bit of flavor in here and there, really. It might be a while before special abilities are evident, and not every dragon has some special thing they can do... but there are a few gems out there for sure. I also have the lowdown of many of their personalities written, and I will probably give out these small stipulations I have created for them. They aren't the rule, but it's a general guideline. I'll just have to find time to do those soon. Just remember that even though they all have different personalities, they're still babies right now, and will always have their cute baby moments. =)

Current Role Playing Material

After everyone feels they have done enough role playing at the lake, you are not obligated to make a post at the Weyrling Barracks. I have yet to even put up the hatching feast post, so feel free to do more role playing there and interact (even though technically the dragonets would be dead on their feet by now wanting sleep.. but oh well!) So play around there a while, and hopefully I'll have the Hatching Feast posted by next week at most. I have to work a double shift tomorrow and then I have to work the next day as well.. as well as monday and Tuesday, so I'm not sure when I'll have the energy to write up the post.

Nitpicking the Weyrling Life

I've been writing the basic outline of Weyrling life, but I'm getting stuck. I don't want to copy straight off of any other person's weyrling schedule, nor do I want to bog it down with too much detail. So, what I mostly want to do is have almost an FAQ on Weyrling life. I ask that everyone ask as many questions as you can think of that I have not covered to help me flesh this out.. if only to make sure my view on a potentially controversial subject is the same as yours, etc. I really hate correcting people, but sometimes even the most seasoned of players have been raised on a different idea than I have. It might very well hold water, but I want to make sure we are on the same page, and am open to suggestions. When I put my foot down and say 'my word is law' though, I just ask that you understand why. I don't put my foot down on many things without good reason.

So yeah, I think I've covered everything I can think of. Any questions about anything at all?

No questions come to mind at the moment, but if I think of any, I won't hesitate to ask. :)

What excites me most about this post is the idea of little Easter Egg tidbits of maturing-dragon personality being thrown in. I can't wait to see if any of mine get a Stormy-buff, and what form it will take.

Gotta love you for always thinking one step ahead, Weyrwoman. <3

*throws arms up in air with 'mark of the wild' effects* =D
