Title: 11/19/07 Updates and the Like

Nako - November 19, 2007 06:47 PM (GMT)
Website

Well, it's about time we updated some things, namely new Weyrlings, dragonriders, and the like. I'd like everyone to take a look at the website and check the various informations on this site and let me know if I need to add your characters in, then give me a list of the characters, their dragon (if applicable) rank, and pets. If your dragonrider is currently rankless and you'd like to apply for a wingleader, wingsecond or other position, please just ask me. There are many wingleaders and wingseconds that are NPCs or their players are no longer active and I don't mind switching up some positions.

Vacation and Weyrling Lessons

Well, I work Tuesday morning and will be heading out that evening. I -might- have internet connection while I'm there but I'm not counting on it. Thomas will be bringing a paid Verizon thingy so that he can log on if there is an emergency at work, but I believe it was issued to him by his workplace and I'm not going to use it much if at all since it might track minutes.

Still, I'd like to see some posting while I'm gone. I'm leaving you guys to your own devices. Feel free to have some drama while I'm gone, but please don't kill or seriously maim anyone, and please no pregnant Weyrlings.. I can't take it! XD

If there is anyone with a dragonrider who wishes to hold a Weyrling lesson they should step up and I'll allow it. A good lesson would be swimming... more of dragon playtime but also there will be close monitoring of the dragonets by the Weyrling Assistant's dragon to alert them when a dragonet begins to tire, then point it out to the weyrling so they can begin to learn how to tell when their dragons are coming close to their limits so they won't overwork themselves. So, any takers?

The week when I come back might be a little hectic. I want to have a meeting of dragonriders, then the raid, then a gather soon after that. It will probably be a bad time since Christmas is now right around the corner. So, how is everyone feeling about this plan?

Earning Raffle Points
If a lesson is not held, do not fear! Feel free to rp playtime for dragons out in the bowl. Dragonets are allowed ito play in the SHALLOWS during playtime when Weyrlingmasters are not present, and there's plenty of groundroom to play on outside the Weyrling barracks. Also, you can rp feeding time, bathing and oiling, or even chores, which would be assuming the dragonets are up to a week old. Feel free to bend time a little and age your dragonet a week, or maybe a week and a half. Just state what age they are at in the rp.

Also, assuming some people might not want to actively rp, solo posts are also acceptable. There is a limit to one solo post per character. If you wish to add more to it, edit the current post. If a person initiates rp with you in your solo post, it is no longer counted as a solo post and can be counted as a rp which you can respond to. Exceptional rping can earn you bonus raffle points, or maybe even a different prize altogether.

The Raffle Contest will end at midnight, on Sunday. All posts after that, though they may count towards Exceptional RP Awards, will not gain you more Raffle Points.

You can use any character to gain points with through RP. I will allow seperate posts per character in situations of Weyrling training and multiple characters in a rp (rping with yourself doesn't count as a rp, it's a solo post.) But this is only under the condition that each post is substantial and of exceptional quality and length (At LEAST a 5 sentence paragraph) and if I see that you are merely trying to stretch out what would have been a good post had it been one or two posts instead of like.. 5, your points will be reduced. Use good judgement in this. If you wrote 2 or 3 good paragraphs per character, feel free to separate them.

________ Post 1
Jane walked up and waved to everyone "Hi!" she sat down at the table, setting her plate in front of her. "What's up?"

_______ Post 2

Bob looked up from her conversation to see another person joining them. He frowned, nudging his friend in the ribs. "Do you know this girl?"

Also, in situations where you have two of your own characters interacting, even if it is a long post, I prefer it to be posted altogether.

I'll start posting soon, I swear it! Things have been hectic here, but I've got Thanksgiving break starting on Wednesday, so I'll get a post up for Cailyn in the Infirmary, and I'll figure out some stuff for Kiara, L'gan and Z'per to do eventually. :)

I like the plan, and hope all works out well. Enjoy your time away, Nako!

edit: I'd like to volunteer Emig for the job of assistant-teaching the swimming lessons. She's not a very good choice, given her happy-go-lucky attitude, but it might add a bit of fun. If no one more responsible steps up, or you foolishly decide to entrust the weyrlings to this precocious youngster, she and Liranath are your pair.

Website:

*Under "The People," all the Jr Weyrlings are listed as Candidates =]

*Under "Clutches," it says "none" for dragons

*K'mav/Daharenth isn't on the Dragons page, People page, or Wings page.

*Darengon's firelizard isn't on the Pets page. And neither is K'mav's. =]

*Ooo the hatching isn't on the News page, but that's not really as important XD

*Oh, none of the new Weyrling pairs are on the Dragons page, but I don't know if they're not supposed to be until they're considered full riders =)

Alrighties that's what I got on the webbie for you =}

edit: I see Fury already volunteered someone, so I'm probably too late, but K'mav could do Weyrling lessons. He's good with no-strings-attached responsibilities like that.

I'd like to remind everyone to tell me if I'm missing their characters on the website, and if you have any characters that do not yet have a place in a Wing, or merely want a higher ranking position in the Wing, please let me know. =)

wintersonata - November 26, 2007 10:07 PM (GMT)
My characters that aren't on the site yet:

--Aubria and green Lamorath (firelizards blue Peach and green Tarra)
--A'breeq and bronze Asaujarth
--L'ricor and brown Jiraljith

A'breeq was a Wingleader at Tiazora, and I'd be honored to have him or L'ricor fly a high rank in any wing at Kharasi. Same goes for Aubria, though she'll fly as hard as a Wingleader no matter what rank she's in. ;)
