I'm working today, but only to feed the pups and make sure they're doing okay. Otherwise, I'm in quite an okay mood. I got myself a good four hour nap earlier. =D I suppose I'll have to cook when I get back home. =P

Merry Christmas! (or the day after, but who's counting?) I hope you all had a lovely time doing...whatever it is you did. I got chocolate in my stocking, so I'm happy. <3 Though I'm tempted to go get chocolate oranges for New Years...

Mmmmm, choooooocolate ...

I didn't get a stocking! My boyfriend's mom was supposed to have them for everyone, but she said she couldn't find them. She moved into a new house just last month, so I guess they're still buried in a box somewhere. This lack was somewhat made up for by the ginormous tray of cookies she produced on Christmas morning, though.

I had a good Christmas. It was the first one I haven't spent with my family (I'll see them over New Year's), so there was a little weird duality going on inside my head. I was surrounded by my boyfriend's family - his mom, his brother and his family, assorted cousins, aunts, uncles, and dogs - and everyone was very friendly and made me feel included in everything. At the same time, I was a little bit homesick and lonely. How selfish is that? I was having a great time, but I missed my family. Talk about wanting to have your cake and eat it, too. Gee, Fury. :huh:

Anyway, nobody's said what they got! What did you guys all get!? I'll start - my best gifts were a 24-inch flatscreen monitor, a beautiful iridescent blue jacket, and a gift certificate to EMS which I shall use to buy snowshoes (I'm allowed to snowshoe, but not cross-country ski).

Now, dish!

I got pajamas, socks, and a calendar. My siblings got a puppy!

I got a ton of Littlest Pet Shop stuff, a rice cooker, one of those vacu-seal things to seal up bags to keep food in.. and a few food items. Overall it was a fun Christmas. I might end up making me some rice tonight =D I just need to make sure I know how to cook sticky rice. o_o

the requisite socks, pants, and copies of six books by Terry Pratchet, as well as a book on Norse Mythology, The Last of the Mohicans (the book), and a book called Eaters of the Dead (they later made it into a movie and called it The Thirteenth Warrior). And my girlfriend gave me a truly diabolical version of the Rubik's cube, one where the sides are made of rectangles, diamonds, and triangles rather than squares. The trick is to get the thing back into a cube shape as well as the colors on the same side.

But it's still fun, nonetheless. With all these books, do I have a choice to be anything but an English Major.
