Title: Weights and Measures

I know that riders generally use the term dragon length for a.. well, dragon length. But I am not sure how to refer to other measurements. I think I remember one of the books usuing a legue for reference, but I cant find the passage now. Can anyone give me something analogous for the following:
Inch/Centimeter
Foot/Hand
Yard/Meter
Mile/Kilometer
Pound/Kilo/Stone
Anything else anyone can think of would be helpful to! Thanks!

Honestly I'm open for any and all measurements being used. I think a yard or meter would be more commonly referred to as a arm's reach (There might be another word for it), or the length of the fingertips of one arm to another. spread out... that's about a meter right?

Yeah, that's about a meter.
In the earliest days of pern they used Kilo, such as the evacuation north: the dolphins would bring crates that weighed however many kilos, or a kilo's worth of stuff. I don't know if the term fell into disfavor or not.
On the slight off-topic, I *DO* know that the punishment for rape or murder was to be tied out to a stake in open Fall.
Yo naks, send me a mail... I have a vague idea for you that you may remember.

Umm... wow... thats disturbing, but I think possibly more effective than current day systems. Hmm.
Another question I had is whether or not Hold bred people would still use the reference "dragon-length" or not.

I believe they would, but then you have to take into account if they're holdbred chances are they might not know how long a dragon is... but then you have to assume it's been so ingrained into Pernese culture they would assume. Nako might know better.

I can toss in that in the early days of Pern they measured long distances in kilometers, or clicks, as well. Did they ever end up using measurements like 'span' or 'pace' or such?

I dunno about span/pace but you're rght, I remember them using spans or klicks/clicks ... I believe the dolphineers also had their own measurements.
