I'm bored and waiting for the next post. Oh, and I'm Marzipan btw. I'm just your average nerdy girl from NC. I love anime, gaming, writing, and cooking. Hopefully I will have time to post here regularly. Nice to "meet" you all. :3

Hey, I'm Stephen. I'm from North Carolina too, I'm up at college in the mountains near Asheville. I'm trying to post regularly myself, but between classes, a girlfriend, and life, it gets harder and harder to do.

Anyways, I dunno why there's not just a random talk to me board. I guess most things hit up for a 'my car was wrecked' or 'there's a great big storm' or something of that nature.

LOL, it is an unfortunate fact of life that Weyr chat usually consists of "so my sister got hit by a car" (yes, she really did, but the idiot was jaywalking so its her own damn fault). The various little tragedies that comprise our lives...

I'm curious - how'd you come across Kharasi? Or is that a deep, dark secret that only you and Nako know the answer to, never to be shared with us chickens?

I've been to North Carolina a few times, all when I was in college in eastern Tennessee. Went over into the mountains to go mountain biking there sometimes. Tsali Trail. :) Oh, and I'll be in Charlotte for an hour or so on Friday morning, waiting for a connecting flight to take me to Nassau. Come down to the airport, you and Stephen; we can all hang out. :)

Rose - as far as my name goes, it was a nickname given to me by my British buddy I met on another forum. Since my name is Marci, it just kind of stuck. ^_^ He used to call me Marcikins.

Stephen - Good luck juggling all of that. Especially with the girlfriend... I know how hard that can be.

Fury - Nassau? That's funny because I really want to cruise there on my honeymoon.

Mainly Columbus, the capitol, but I've got family all over. Cleveland, Akron, Canton, Youngstown. So mostly central and northern. I've been to Cinci a handful of times. Have you traveled much around here?

I've been to Cincinnati twice a year every year since I was in the womb. :) It's been a little slower now because I tend to get sick when I travel now. Plus, it's a boring eight hour drive. My Mom's side of the family lives there and we used to go every Easter and Thanksgiving.

I live in WA a couple of hours from the coast. So not in the middle but not at the coast.

It's awesome, and not much. If you go to the zoo sure, but unless you live in the outback... XD Contrary to popular belief we don't have kangaroos in our backyards.

My fiance and I just adopted a new kitten. She's black and white (we named her Athena) and so far she's into all of our other cat's (Gabriel) toys. They're both afraid of each other but she's the one doing all the growling. ^_^ Unfortunately, she peed on my bed this morning!! I had a give her a spanking and show her where the litter box was. She knew though because she was in it the night before. Such a handful. =)

Aww, kittens are cute! I've always been more of a dog person, but I think that's mainly because the only cats I've ever been exposed to are my grandparents' cats. And they always seem to hate me for some reason. I can't count the number of times those damn things have scratched me for no reason. @_@ I hope yours are nicer lol :P

Athena is all into her "love me for the love of God" phase and Gabriel is just a coward when it comes to new people. But both are sweet and I know they wouldn't be mean to any humans. Gabriel only scratches when he's playing. B)

Fury hasn't posted back yet is all. If you want you can make another character so you won't have one always stuck in rp =) Sometimes certain players can't get on as often as others. If a person doesn't respond in a week or so though, feel free to close the rp and move on.

We all have busy lives so I totally understand. I've been getting more and more anxious to RP here since reintroducing myself to the series. I finished Dragonquest yesterday and I'm about halfway through the White Dragon. So now I've gotten myself all excited.

I'll give Fury a few more days. :3

Marzipan - okay, on the way out to the Atlantis, our taxi drove past the Nassau docks where the big cruise ships are. The ships are beautiful! Nassau itself was not - most of it looks like a third-world city, sadly. But the Atlantis resort on Paradise Island was lovely - warm turquoise seas, white sand, and lots of neat things like on-site snorkeling and a green sea turtle lagoon and nursery. I wouldn't mind a honeymoon cruise there at all!

Oh dear, it seems I'm holding up an RP. Posting from work right now, but only working a half day today, so I should be able to respond to whatever it is as soon as I get home. Toodles!

Sorry guys, I've been busy XD Oh, I have vague ideas don't you worry. First the Weyrlings will have to reach a certain age... probably around 4-5 months to give the queen enough downtime before breeding again. Once we reach that milestone and a few plot milestones then I'll consider having Iolath rise. So, it might be a little while but that will give you time to rp and get a feel for your character.

I've read a ton of the old threads. I've been reading through the last Hatching thread whenever I get a chance. I enjoy reading everyone's individual styles and events that are happening.

I keep trying to find time to post again, but I've got teh sickness right now, and have trouble dragging myself out of bed for class.

Not trying to garner sympathy, cause my girlfriend would kick my ass for that, but I'm still in the ill department. I haven't slept in more than one hour bursts for a week now. My mind isn't really working, and now I'm being tested for mono and another major viral infection. There went $200 down the drain. And that was at the reduced price for paying up front. Otherwise it would have been $250. Not having insurance sucks. TO all you young'uns out there, make sure you get and hold onto some damn insurance.

Anyways, that's why I've lurked and not posted.
