Title: Feb 20, 2008-- Updates and Stuffs!!

Updates on Wonderful Lovely Me
Haha, but on a more serious note, I'm sick. I went to the doctor and they gave me antibiotics. It's just a little case of bronchitis though so I'll be fine. The convention was fun during the times I wasn't sick. Spent lots of money but didn't make it back. Oh well.

Firelizards

For the Raffle firelizards, they were all gifts from the Weyrwoman for whatever reason, and they can have already hatched and been named and all that jazz.. so have fun!

The Gather
Yes, the gather is coming up! Joy! I'm taking up offers on any plotty goodness anyone wants to throw at me. We might needs a bit of drama anyways.

Other foreign holds have been invited, and will be bringing woodcrafted goods. This will help both the neighboring Holds who are in desperate need of supplies, and the Weyr. Thyra probably won't like this very much at all.. especially since the foreign hold is selling their wares for cheaper than the locals.

Thyra Goodness

Everyone seems busy so it's difficult to keep this thing going. All prisoners have been returned, and tithes have now grudgingly been coming back in again. Lord Shigan pleaded with the other Holds to take his side.. but of course was turned back. Now there are mutterings of him being replaced by the council of Lord Holders. Even if he is replaced though.. is it possible to remove all the corruption from Thyra's veins?

Aww hope you feel better soon Nako! I'll get some posts up for Cailyn and her firelizard, and for Z'per later today hopefully. :)

Thanks =) Sadly I only feel like I am getting worse, but maybe that's because the medicine hasn't quite kicked in yet. I just hope it does soon because going to sleep then waking up the next morning to blood clots in my sinuses and heavily blocked/congested throat that hurts.. it's just agony. I've begun a morning ritual that lasts hours of hacking till I nearly throw up just to bring up all that gunk in my throat. I can't even fathom just how -that- much stuff can be lining the inside of my neck x_x

Also, my sinus cavity is one huge clown car. I.. don't know how semi-solid things the size of a silver dollar can come out of it. I almost just don't want to go to sleep because I'll wake up early, and miserable having got no sleep, and stocked full of.. nasty.

I think I'll just sleep in increments of an hour every few hours so I can wake up long enough to hack everything up.

Stormy! I'm a lot better with common sense than with medical knowledge, but that sounds really bad to me. Please go to a doctor. It could be something horrible like pneumonia.

*huggles tight* Please, please be safe.

*snugs fury* No worries. If I'm not feeling any better at the end of my antibiotics (in two days) I'll be going back to the doctor. Though there's still a lot of blood in my nose, I was decidedly less miserable this morning and actually got a bit of sleep. I did in fact feel like I was getting worse, but that was probably because I went to the doctor before it got -bad- but now the antibiotics are kicking in and it's getting better.

Fury, lets all move to France and get free health care. Haha! And long vacations and 35 hour work weeks. Shoot, I was nearly working that being part time...

Fury - February 23, 2008 02:20 PM (GMT)
Haha, the old country! It's funny you say that because I had this weird phone call from my dad yesterday. He sounded angry and at first I wondered what I'd done to make him so mad. He said, "Did you know that you can no longer buy Chateau Lafite Rothschild land? It no longer has a price at all!"

Having no idea who or what that was, I was still hesitant to ask. "Who, um, who are the Lafite-Rothschilds, dad?" I finally stuttered.

Turns out it's like the oldest winery in France or something. Jeez, dad. I forbore from asking him why he'd even want to buy winery land, but I figured sarcasm might not go over so well.

I'll ask him about health care next time I talk to him. To hear my Canadian friends up here tell it, though, free health care isn't all it's cracked up to be. Hmm.

Lol well I can even understand since I'm a bit sucker for meaningful old stuff.. like grandparents. LOL

But seriously, it's not just about the winery, it's the history and the prestige of the place. Haha! You can tell him a dirty American understood that concept! (Joking! I wouldn't blame his outlook if it were that though. I'm still a bit irked about our 45 hour workweek and corrupt health insurance.)

But woo! Congestion is breaking up a bit! =D

I know how it's been for you Stormy. I just now got past the point where I could not sleep for more than 1-2 hours because of throat and sinus congestion. But sleep is good. And antibiotics working are even better. My brain (should my sleep continue to go back up) should be back to functioning in a few days, and maybe I'll get around to posting soon after that. I need to have a brain to write. yes...

Eek. What did you have? And did you get antibiotics? You might have a sinus infection. I've been sleeping a solid 5-7 hours now. I still wake up with blood clots in my sinuses but at least it doesn't really stop me up. They're just there when I blow my nose =D I think that's because the sinus lining is raw.

Fallen_Crusader - February 25, 2008 06:18 AM (GMT)
I did have, and am still getting through mono. It's getting out of the sicky-sick phase and into the "OMG I'm tired all the time" phase.

Nako - February 25, 2008 07:05 AM (GMT)
Wow, that's harsh. Are you suffering the weakness for months on end or does it look like you'll get over it in a short amount of time?

And that's what you get for smooching other people! Lol, and I know you can get it other ways, I'm just poking fun. I don't think I've ever had mono. If I did, then I didn't know I had it.
