The Story:
It is truly a blessed thing when a Weyr is created from peace instead of despair. Such an anomoly would occur in 11th pass Pern. 40 turns prior, wherhandlers and smiths banded together on a great project to open up a new Weyr only half-finished from ancient times. They toiled for turns, reverse engineering technology to recreate many of the plumbings that gave many Weyrs its luxuries. Picks tore away at the stone and the power of the wher hauled it back and forth, its nose and heat sight making it an asset in the darkness where pockets of gas were a constant threat.
Small territories that were offshoots of faraway Holds became individual, independent sources of income and they branched away in the turns to come in order to prepare themselves to serve a new Weyr. High Reaches Weyr was slowly removing themselves from the obligation, letting the riders of a certain Southern Weyr take over..
Tiazora Weyr would be the encroaching source, getting together their wings and selectively choosing dragonriders that would become the backbone of Kharasi Weyr. Though many queenriders were available, none wished to volunteer themselves to take on this new Weyr, and it was privately decided to wait till another gold egg hatched and sought out the one who would end up the Senior Weyrwoman of Kharasi Weyr.
Two turns after that fateful gold shell broke, Alesia of gold Iolath took her rightful place as Weywoman. Things became strained though, as the queen failed to rise. Forced to go without official Weyrleader for an entire turn, there was much pressure for the gold to take to the air and produce fighting dragons to Kharasi's slim population. The drama would end in the 3rd turn of the queen's life when she rose into the sky and was caught in proper fashion by a bronze named Behemath. No queen egg was produced, but a fine clutch of 23 brought forth 3 bronzes and healthy dragonets of every color aside from gold.
Currently, Kharasi Weyr is undermanned and needs a supplement wing from High Reaches during threadfall. There is now a rising demand for the queen to rise once more, and put a gold egg on the sands. To make things even worse, Thyra Hold is showing great resistance to the Weyr, and at one point stopped giving tithes. At a shaky peace for now, it's only a matter of time till another disagreement arises.

The Facts:
Kharasi is a canon-colored Weyr set in 11th pass Pern with a few interesting takes on things such as dragon size and growth. Impression goes as such:
Golds: Heterosexual women
Bronzes: Heterosexual men
Browns: Men of any sexuality
Blue: Men and women of any sexuality
Green Men and women of any sexuality.
Dragons are roughly measured as feet, though the sizes are more of a 'by eye' size and the difference from min and max size has been reduced. Now, greens aren't rediculously dwarfed by queens and bronzes, but are still obviously smaller but won't get.. pulverized by bronzes in mating flights. Also, as was referenced in dragonflight, it is possible for some browns to get as big as bronzes and compete in gold mating flights. In my mind, they have as much a chance as the smallest of bronzes.

So.. how bad does it suck? XD I haven't made a little button for it yet but I plan to.
