Title: Anime and J-Rock

So, I need some advice.

I have a good friend who has done a number of selflessly kind things for me, and I want to give her a really terrific surprise. She's huge into anime; goes to conventions all the time, makes costumes, and a couple of times has done some planning and behind-the-scenes work for Cosplay organizers.

By far her favorite thing in the world is a band called Phantasmagorium, about whom I know nothing except the one paragraph that's written about them in Wikipedia - which means I know they're from Japan and that the band was dissolved last year. But I talked to my friend last night, and it seems they're getting together again to play at an anime convention in Los Angeles.

Do you guys know anything about this, or about Phantasmagorium in general or specific? I would love to get her tickets to the show, or at least some of their rare music or DVDs. But I can't find a lot of information on them (at least, nothing that's not written in Kanji), and I'm hoping one of you anime lovers will be able to help me out.

Thanks so much in advance!

Well, this is a bit of a stretch, but there's a guy who lives in Japan and sells stuff online from there that would be otherwise hard to get. His site is called Jlist.com where he has an assortment of Japanese items of both the adult/mature variety as well as general audience sorts of stuff. I didn't find anything in search on his site but you could probably email him and ask him if he can get a hold of any of the stuff you're looking for. He's usually quite approachable, and is actually a former American living in Japan so there won't be a horrible language barrier and all that jazz. =) I hope that helps.

Whoops, deepest apologies, the band is called Phantasmagoria, not Phantasmagorium. Got mixed up with our player being of the -ium variety, lol.

Thanks, Stormy! I'll check out Jlist.com.
