Appearance: Alsalam is short for his age- he barely hits 5'5" tall. His burnished red-bronze hair contrasts strangely with his light blue eyes and the inevitable freckles so common in his family. He's more wiry than scrawny, but one would have to look twice to see the light musculature hidden in his small frame.

Personality: Alsalam is infinitely curious and seemingly tireless. A veritable ball of energy, he's always darting around and getting into everything. He loves to scrap with the boys in his Hold and earns about as many wins as losses. Very few things truly upset him, but he's known for his short-lived fits of fiery agitation. He'll chatter constantly about anything to anyone that listens, but his true passion lies in anything Weyr-related. The rare times anyone sees him still is when he stares off into the direction of nearby Kharasi Weyr from his small cothold near Izvand.

History: Born to dragonriding parents from Ista, he was almost immediately fostered out to well-off Weavercraft relatives living in Izvand. His foster parents also took in a multitude of other children over the Turns, leaving him with some 4 foster brothers and sisters at any given time. His home life was chaotic but loving, and he was certainly never lonely or uncared for.
