Title: Status
Fury - June 21, 2008 11:02 AM (GMT)
It's June 21st ... happy summer, everybody!
I am very sorry for my long silence. I've not even checked in here for a month. Work has been a monster, between spring droughts and then last week's daily rains. I've been in a different state every weekend for conferences since going to Maine last month for my best friend's college graduation (more on that later for those interested in my cryptic comment, lol). I'm leaving in a few minutes to catch a flight down to Tennessee, my old college stomping grounds. I come home Monday night and after that I'm done with work-related travel until at least September. So I can get back to posting and writing and all the other fun things I've had to set aside.
Welcome to the new arrivals; I hope to get to know you guys better through RP!
I'll be posting on Tuesday, playing catch-up. I'll have a laptop with me this weekend but probably won't have time to log in and RP.
Hugs and love from Fury, your exhausted environmental scientist.

You do what you need to do, Fury ;D I figured you had a good reason for your absence but I'm very glad to hear from you. I'm a cheesehead and tend to start worrying if all my rping buddies are alright and all that jazz. I'm just a worry wart like that.
I see plot twisty things coming up with Alesia and K'jin, I warn you XD might involve some conflicting emotions and fun.. but that's whenever you're ready. =D
And to all you newbies, this is the mystical and magical Fury! She's made of awesome.. and was one of many who came from Tiazora, which is basically Kharasi's sister Weyr.. though I see it more like a mamma Weyr.. oddly enough XD *sleep deprived*

Yaaay Momma Fury! Glad to see you back, although I'm sorry to hear you've been so busy lately! But at least life stays interesting, eh? I vote you come down to the University of Florida sometime and pretend to work with me for a while! :P

Ah! Fury! You wonderful overworked person you! I was worried you had died and nobody would ever tell us D:
Good to have you back =)

So I'm really excited to see fury back. Much glompage. Much excitement, yisss. So much I was inspired to write bad poetry! and of course I didn't muck about with that free verse nonsense.
Haiku
Welcome homecoming
Dust and decay are banished
Roleplayer returned
Limerick
Fury's returned to the fold
An experienced player most bold
Through college she passed
Us all she out-classed
But her posting skill became cold

Free verse?
Nonsense?
You wound me to the quick, sah!
:P

LOL at Stephen's poetry. It's hilarious and quite good - although I'm terrible at poetry so you must take that as a most amateur opinion.
I have a free few minutes here before heading out to dinner with company people. I'm in Gatlinsburg, TN and Wolfie...it's 90 degrees here in the Smokies! I'd forgotten how hot it can get in the summer down here. I'm physically afraid to visit Florida; it gets hotter as you go south.
Totally willing for emotional conflict, dear weyrwoman; throw it out there anytime and I'll do my best to keep K'jin responding in character.
I'm so excited to see new faces/names!
Phantasmagorium - June 22, 2008 11:45 PM (GMT)
Teehee, if you think 90 is hot, you should come out here to NorCal ;) By summer's end we'll have hit 110 at least twice, and been in the upper 90's to low 100s for several weeks in total if the past is indicative of the future (and I've lived here going on twenty years) =p.
Northern California - the worst of both worlds. Hot summers with no relief, freezing winters with no snow. Four weeks of paradise a year - two for spring, two for fall. =p
Wolfie - June 23, 2008 12:25 AM (GMT)
Hmm, sounds like Florida, except we get no cold winters. :P Plus, we have the humidity. It really is miserable here, I don't know why the snowbirds like it so much lol.
Phantasmagorium - June 23, 2008 02:06 AM (GMT)
I'm just close enough to the coast, and have enough lakes around, that it gets more humid than I would ever want, once in awhile, though I'm sure living in Florida with all the swamps around is even worse x_x
