Okay, this is just some sort of planning/opening up a plot line. Thyra Hold (one of the Holds bound to Kharasi) is fallen into a Bitran situations. Almost the entire Hold is corrupt, products made are substandard or shoddy, they are often late in their tithes and those tithes tend to be of low quality, and they are one step from being openly hostile to dragonriders.

All of this has been happenning over the past four generations in a slow decline. The current Lord Holder is the worst yet, and only his brother stands against him. Tommen (13) and Lyssa (16) are the youngest children of the Lord Holder, and have been raised by their Uncle away from the main Hold. Lyssa was sent to High Reaches years ago to foster. Now she is returning and has been picked up by a blue Searchrider for Kharasi.

Basically, sooner or later Lyssa or Tommen, or perhaps their uncle, will try to reform Thyra Hold. This may include force. And even though the Holds are autonomous in their own borders, the Weyr may yet be involved...

I think also there will need to be a 12 year old son of the Lord Holder of Thyra, the 'heir apparent' if you will. Tommen and Lyssa were spirited away by their uncle, officially they disappeared as he fell into extreme disfavor.

And I've actually figured out how I'll intro to this when I'm ready. Just a note to myself, execution of eclun. And that should make enough sense so I can remember...

Let me know if this is interesting or you have any ideas.

Well, it also doesn't have to be someone of the blood... then again I can talk to you about some things in the way things are done with Holds.. but it can be either someone of the blood or it can be someone that was chosen from a fostering group.. maybe Bitran blood? =3
