PqPublicist - August 14, 2006 03:40 AM (GMT)
great to have you back JOE  YOU

Inquirer1 - August 14, 2006 02:36 PM (GMT)
Joe, if you can, could you do all us racers a public service and explain exactly why Boris Said(the C driver most ALL of us picked this past week)was busted down to 31st place from 6th?

I noticed Yahoo immediately made all the corrections in our scores once the results became official, but even though I have an idea why it happened, I've been unable to find any confirmation of why the order of finish was changed in the race.

Thanks...and good to know you found the new board!

Inquirer1 - August 14, 2006 07:03 PM (GMT)
Well, now I know what happened...Said was among several drivers who, in the confusion surrounding the chaotic final lap, was caught avoiding the dreaded "inner loop"(where a lot of the race's trouble occurred)in an effort to get through the congestion, so he was given a postrace penalty, which dropped him from his 6th place finish to a 31st place one.

VirginiaJoe - August 15, 2006 02:19 AM (GMT)
Good job, John......I just found this in an article, which says the same thing you did..........

Kyle Busch picked up two spots on the final lap when the cars of Boris Said and Ron Fellows were each penalized for running through the loop.

Both Fellows and Said had top-10 finishes taken away. Said went from sixth to 31st while Fellows went from 10th to 32nd. Both drivers were assessed a 30-second penalty by NASCAR for going through the inner loop on the final lap of Sunday's race. The inner loop or "bus stop" is where Sunday's last-lap accident occured.

SGM Radio - August 15, 2006 04:58 AM (GMT)
:) I moved up one spot

......Lorraine (Canadian Roadrunners), who leaped past John (California Racers) thanks to the 2nd best score of the day.

Joe moved into 4th place, coming back from a horrendous race last week, to post the top score of the day with 301 points.

With Donna dominating the league, the race is for 2nd place among four drivers
.....with only 129 points separating Lorraine, John, Joe and Bekah.

Next race is Saturday night, under the lights, at Bristol.....for the Sharpie 500. Race time is 7:40 pm ET, on TNT.

Inquirer1 - August 21, 2006 02:22 PM (GMT)
Well, in THIS case, you did it because Clint Bowyer picked a bad time to have his engine malfunction.

Let's see what you say after Bristol.

Diva's Delights leapfrogged PQ and Rolling Thunder Racing moved past Robs Fast cars, lower in the standings.

For the first time in the 25 weeks of our Fantasy Nascar Game, the standings did not change.

Donna increased her lead to 90 points, and there are no really tight races for positions.

Next week, the race comes back across the country to Richmond, in the final race to determine the Nascar drivers who will be racing for the championship, while Donna will try to hold onto this championship race, from her native England.

Have fun, Donna..........and don't forget to pick your drivers each week.

Well....the battle between mother and daughter was the excitement this weekend. Oh, fudge.....Patti got her wish....lol.........and passed Bekah for 5th place.

Donna actually increased her lead, and is now 113 points ahead of her closest challenger, who is now Lorraine (Canadian Roadrunners).

Steve (Rolling Thunder Racing) moved past Paul (BBD Left Turns), who failed to notice he has no C drivers.

Ten more races in the season, which moves to Loudon, NH next Sunday for the Sylvania 300.

VirginiaJoe - September 10, 2006 04:06 PM (GMT)
A few notes from this weekend's race.

1- The top points for the week, for the second time in three weeks, was LOLJAYS. Little John scored 366 points this time, after getting an amazing 382 a couple of weeks ago. Too little, too late, of course.

2- The top point getters this week:

LOLJAYS 366
PATTI 359
LORRAINE 357
BEKAH 324
PQ 324

3- The low point total for the week was Paul (BBD) with 141. That doesn't count LowVol, who has apparently given up.

The biggest news this week was Patti's third consecutive super week, and she is now only 59 points out of second place!

Donna maintained her lead, but with an unusually low score (for her), she now has three drivers in position to catch her, if she experiences another bad week. Donna, you need to get back and start choosing your drivers again.

PQ made a big leap past Kattie and Bekah, into 6th place.

Top scores for the week:
Patti 349
PQ 349
Lorraine 283
Teresa 260

Low scores for the week:

Next race will be on Sunday, October 1, at the Banquet 400 in Kansas City. Joe Nemechek won the race last year.

Donna increased her lead over 2nd place Lorraine to 85 points.

On a week where no one did really well, Lorraine widened her gap between her nearest competitor, and is now 127 points ahead of 3rd place.

Joe was in a position to move into 3rd, when a last lap wreck knocked his drivers from a probable 1-2 finish to the 23 and 24th spots, losing 88 potential points.

Battles are shaping up between Donna and Lorraine for the championship; for 3rd, 4th and 5th......with only 69 points separating Joe, California Racers and Patti; and 6th, 7th and 8th between Bekah, PQ and Kattie E.....only 56 points between the three of them. Then, Paul, Rob and Steve are only 101 points apart.

Teresa, after missing the first three races of the season is settled into 12th place, but would be in the battle for 6th, 7th and 8th if she had started the first race.
