I don't know if any of you would be interested in her books..but, I thought I would suggest them...They are really called "young adult" reading...which isn't me but, I have come to really enjoy her books... She takes a true individual and/or family in history and writes a fictional story about them...they are actually based on facts and you should read the author's notes when you finish the books to find out what is real or fiction.
The first one I read was "The Coffin Quilt"...it is about the Hatfields and McCoys...and since I am a McCoy...I wanted to read it. I became intrigued with her writings and just finished "In My Father's House"...a story of the Civil War. They are really great books.
