Welcome to Hit or History Classics.

This week, your choice will be between two songs made famous by the Harvesters Quartet. This group was based in Charlotte, North Carolina and was one of the most underrated groups in gospel music. They still continue to thrill audiences today!

Jesus Hold My Hand
and
He'll Pilot Me

Thanks for playing Hit or History Classics!

Had the privilege of recording both with Crimson River.

Loved both songs.

As far as the Harvesters, I definitely liked
HE'LL PILOT ME

How do you think of Bill Hefner singing tenor without
thinking of that song.

I still remember going to Winston Salem, to the old C.R. McLain's singings at Reynold's Auditorium. The gentleman that we were traveling with.......... when Bill and the Harvesters would turn it up a notch on that song........... would start going faster, just like the Harvesters.....lol. That was funny.
