JohnCBoy - March 19, 2007 12:01 PM (GMT)
Welcome to Hit or History Classics.

This week will feature two songs made famous by the Prophets Quartet from Knoxville, Tennessee. This unique group had a long string of hits, but these were two of their best loved:

What a Wonderful Day
&
Teach Me Lord to Wait

Please vote for your favorite and thanks for playing Hit or History Classics!

Ahhhhh.......the great Prophets Quartet.

Both wonderful songs, but I will go with Big Lew and Jay Berry and...........

Teach Me Lord To Wait....................... from my favorite album, "Packin' Up".

Without a doubt,
TEACH ME LORD TO WAIT

better song
and sung better by Lew & Jay
versus the other

JCB, When I saw this topic, I pulled my copy of the album, Packin' Up and listened to it. If I have to pick between the two songs you listed, then Teach Me Lord To Wait is the choice. But, my favorite on the album is the title song on the album, Packin Up Gettin Ready to Gooooooooooooooo.... Love that high tenor. Their version of Working On A Building is good also. I like the Prophet's, always have.
