Title: Hit or History Classics
Description: Week #50

JohnCBoy - March 26, 2007 12:01 PM (GMT)
Welcome to Hit or History Classics.

It's hard to believe we've been doing this for nearly a year!

This week will feature two songs made famous by the Rambos. Dottie Rambo has written some of the finest songs in gospel music, so it was very difficult to choose just two for our game. Today your choices are:

Build My Mansion Next Door to Jesus
and
He Looked Beyond My Faults and Saw My Need

Please vote for your favorite and thanks for playing Hit or History Classics!

This is a tough choice...Dottie never wrote a bad song...I love them both, but I think I'll go with

HE Looked Beyond My Faults

I agree..........I think Dotty Rambo is one of the great songwriters of our time.

Both are beautiful, but I will choose..........

He Looked Beyond My Faults and Saw My Need

He Looked Beyond My Faults

"He Looked Beyond My Faults "Is my Favorite Song --Period. Dottie is the greatest songwriter of all times. This song was to the Tune of Londonderry Aire(DannyBoy). Danny Boy was a song that was recorded by many of the popular music field. . I had a lady in my church ask us ( The Tone Deaf Trio ) to sing that sounds like Danny Boy. We sang it and their wasn't a dry eye in the house. We did not know if we were that good or that BAD. My mother liked it, of course." He Looked "was sung at both my parents's funeral& it will be sung at mine.

Tough Choice!

Oh, hello JCB and others.
Just returned from Roger Bennett's funeral.
Sad but what a celebration of his life.

Build My Mansion was certainly the most
sentimental, but I would have to say that
HE LOOKED BEYOND MY FAULTS
was the stronger song.

JD once said he was going to write a song and call it,
BUILD MY MANSION NEXT DOOR TO DOTTIE RAMBO,
I WON'T MIND LIVING TWO DOORS FROM JESUS.

JCB....I love both of these songs!! Rick Strickland sings Build My Mansion and YOU know how I feel about Rick but I have to go with my "heart" and choose
He Looked Beyond My Faults....
